Mr. Fernando had just emerged from the swimming pool when Joyce and the secretary exited the elevator, and he hadn't noticed them at first because he was trying to dry his wet eyes with his hands.

He was still drying his hair with the towel when the secretary interrupted.
"Sir, she's here." The secretary said
"Oh Joyce, welcome," he spoke with a smile while turning in Joyce's direction.
Joyce was busy analyzing Mr. Fernando's abs and didn't hear him the first time. He knew and smirked like someone planning something devious.
"Joyce?"
"Sorry. Good morning, Mr. Fernando." She responded, shuffling her face away and avoiding eye contact with him.

"So I'm ready to work, Mr. Fernando." Joyce uttered.
"Oh, that's right I need to take you to your office." The secretary snapped.
"Don't worry about that, she can have her office here with me." Mr. Fernando said.
The secretary stopped drying up his back after he mentioned this.
"What do you mean, Sir?" She asked.
"You heard me. Prepare Joyce's office here with me." He replied.
The atmosphere tensed up as the secretary could not believe her ears, wondering what Mr. Fernando was up to. She could not see any reason why he wanted Joyce to stay with him in his office since this wasn't like him.
Joyce stood where she was, looking shocked and confused as well. It was in that moment that she became conscious and took a proper look at the fantastic office of Mr. Fernando.
It had a glassy room by one side where his desk and office chair were located, but then again, there was this big TV directly facing it a few steps away. A fridge was present too, while it also had a bar on another side of the room.
Joyce was stunned that the tenth floor had everything and more she needed in an apartment in a 4-star hotel.
"What's with the face, Joyce?" Mr. Fernando asked after spotting Joyce spinning her neck around the office.
"You mean I would have my office, right here?" She emphasized.
"You're my coffee maker; I need you closest to me at all times."
With that said, Joyce was excited and anxious at the same time. She held her hands on her forehead while catching her breath to calm her nerves. The secretary looked at Joyce enviously.
She's closest to Mr. Fernando in the company and had expected this kind of treatment from him instead, but Joyce was getting all of that without even doing anything yet. "Prepare her office on the other side of my room." Mr. Fernando said to the secretary, pointing to his glassy room.

"I'll be in the glass room." Mr. Fernando said as he walked away.
Joyce felt relief after such pressure and sat by the lounge close to the swimming pool waiting for the secretary to be back, and in that moment, she received a text message from someone she wasn't expecting at all.
