Dave woke up early as usual and he felt like he had gotten more than enough sleep because he didn't activate his dream control feature last night.
He stared at the ceiling for a while before turning his gaze to Emma who was still fast asleep, he stared at her for a while before letting out a sigh.
He removed the blanket from his body and slowly sat up on the bed before picking up his phone to see that the time was 6:00 AM.
He shifted his slippers to the side and slid his feet into his running boots before quickly making his way downstairs to complete his first quest of the day.
He dropped the container on the floor as usual before quickly making his way outside for his morning run.
"Four kilometers." He muttered before quickly zooming off toward his normal running route.
He had only gotten the ten exp for completing his two kilometers quest but that wasn't the first time as he quickly turned and began to jog his way back.
He returned home by exactly 6:32 AM and made his way to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water for his two-hour gym session. On getting there, he could see that Emma was already there pouring herself a glass of water.
"Hey." She said with a smile on her face as soon as she spotted him. "Good morning."
"Good morning," Dave said, walking closer to the freezer.
"I see you've just completed your morning run." She said before taking down half of the water in the glass cup.
"Yeah," Dave said before opening the fridge and grabbing a small bottle of water.
She found it quite odd that he didn't smile back at her when he saw her.
"Are you going to the gym or do you want to skip it and help me out today?" She asked, smiling at him.
"I'll be at the gym if you need me." Dave said before closing the freezer. "You should hurry up so you don't leave late for work."
"Hey, wait aren't you….?" She wanted to ask him something but it was no use as he had already left the room.
'He didn't even bother getting close to me.'
She stared at the freezer for a while before dropping the glass in the sink and letting out a deep sigh.
Two hours later, Luis completed his two-hour gym session and returned to the house.
The living room was empty when he entered the house but after a few seconds, he began to hear footsteps coming down the staircase.
It didn't take long before Emma came into his view, she was putting on a black suit.
Dave didn't take his gaze off her for one second until she got really close to him.
"Hey, I'm about to head off to work." She said.
"Yeah, you're already late."
"That's not a problem, you know where to find your food when you're ready to eat right?"
"Yeah," Dave said with a nod.
'When was the last time our conversation felt this awkward, what is going on Dave!' She wanted to scream out but on second thought, she decided to keep the question of what was going out for now.
"I guess, I should start heading to work then." She said before slowly making her way to the door.
Emma opened the door and was about to leave when she heard Dave call her.
"Hey, Em," Dave called as she quickly turned to face him. "I love you."
A bright smile suddenly appeared on her face as soon as she heard him say that.
"I love you too." She said before she left through the door and closed it.
"I'm not that mean." The goalkeeper muttered before quickly making his way to the staircase. "To her at least."
With the training time being 10:00 AM, Dave left the house by around 9:50.
He arrived at the stadium to see that he was the second player to arrive at the stadium as there was a car already parked in the area and who else's would it be other than Ferran's?
'I didn't ask for your suggestion.' He replied before opening the door and stepping down from his car.
He made his way into the stadium and to the empty locker room to change into his training kit before making his way to the pitch where Ferran was already training.
It hadn't been long since he arrived, that Dave could tell by the fact that he was still running laps around the pitch.
Ferran stopped what he was doing as soon as he saw the goalkeeper making his way onto the pitch.
"Hey, bro," Ferran said before raising his hand for an informal handshake as soon as he got closer to the goalkeeper.
'He's calling me bro.' He chuckled inwardly.
He stared at him for a while with a grim expression on his face before raising his hand to accept his handshake.
"How're you doing?" The midfielder asked.
"I'm okay," Dave replied.
"Okay, I should get back to completing my lap running." The midfielder said before returning to what he was doing.
Dave watched him run around the pitch for a little while before making his way to the pile of balls in the area.
After about twenty minutes, their other teammates began to arrive with the first people to arrive being Mateo and Merino.
"Wooah, Dave and Ferran super early again," Mateo said before making his way to Dave who was jogging a ball by the time he arrived at the pitch with Merino.
"How're you doing bro?" The winger asked as they did their usual handshake and shoulder bump.
"Good, you?" Dave replied.
Ferran had appeared in the area now so Mateo got closer to him and repeated what he did with Dave.
"Looks like you two are starting to form a punctuality bond," Mateo said.
"Maybe," Ferran said with a shrug.
"I would have agreed to that before but right now, I don't think we can ever form any sort of bond." The goalkeeper said before walking off toward the goalpost as Ferran looked at him with a confused expression on his face.
"What was that about?" Mateo muttered.
The goalkeeper quickly rushed to the ball lying about twenty-five yards out from the goal post and lobbed it toward the goal post.
The ball flew straight toward the top right side of the goalpost and hit the crossbar before falling into the goalpost.
It didn't take long before Norman and the rest of the coaching staff arrived and after talking to them mainly about the upcoming match before switching to how the training was going to go for the session, it was now time for the training to kick off.
