I laid down on the bed next Andrew just staring at the ceiling. It's almost midnight and Steve's not yet home.
I'm sure he's fine but I can't stop wondering what kind of work would keep him out by this time.
God! It's twelve dot...
I climbed down from the bed and approached the window.
We talked about this yesterday, didn't we?
He said he'd talk to mom about finding someone else that would replace him.
I felt more relieved when his car drove into the compound. I rushed back to the bed and dropped beside sleeping Andrew.
I pretended to be asleep as well.
After a while, I heard the door opened and he's footsteps followed.
He took a shower and changed his clothes before coming to the bed.
It seemed like he took something and retreated back - he left the room.
I got up and tip toed after him. I want to see where he'd spend the night.
I hope he's not gonna stay on the couch.
He entered the guest room and shut the door.
Hmph. So, he rather spend the night alone than with his wife and child.
I placed my ear next to the door and I could hear him talking.
"Yeah...I just got home. You're welcome. I'll see you tomorrow, don't be late" He said probably to someone over the phone.
I sighed and returned back to our room. Andrew was already rolling bit by bit. I joined him on the bed.
He's super cute and looks so much like Steve.
I just hope Steve's not doing something wrong. I don't want to loose him.

I was brushing my teeth before the mirror In the bathroom. I need to see take Andrew to the doctor today concerning his growing tooth..
It must be giving him some kind of headache because he keeps wailing at intervals.
Suddenly, I felt someone wrap his hands around my waist. I looked at the mirror and saw it was Steve.
"Morning babe" He whispered and kissed my shoulder.
I hurried up with the brushing and turned to him.
"I hope you slept well, after coming home so late yesterday" I chimed smirking.
"I'm sorry, Tess. Mom found someone who would oversee the companies. She's really nice and I had a lot of corrections to make since I won't be the one handling future contracts" He explained inserting his hands in his pockets.
"I'm sorry for stopping you from working for your parents. It's just too much for you or do you want to look like an old man before thirty?" I asked smirking.
He smiled.
"It's alright. I still have my company to run. But then, I'll spend the upcoming week to brief the new Director about how the whole system work".
"Okay. That's fine. So, what is her name?" I further asked leaning by the sink.
"Rachel" He replied smiling.
"I'll be taking Andrew to see his doctor later. About his tooth" I stated and he nodded.
"I'll go with you---"
"No. You need to get more sleep. We'll be back before you know it, alright?" I jibed.
He shrugged his shoulders.
"Alright".
I chuckled and stepped out of the bathroom.
The maids were giving Andrew a bath In his room so all I have to do now, is to get dressed.
A knock came upon the door and the maid's voice called out;
"Davis is here. He's waiting downstairs".
Davis is here!
I quickly left the room to meet him.
