I was still up waiting for Tessy to return back to the bed but she seemed to be taking too long.
I got up on my feet and wore the flip flops lying next to the bed.
I proceeded towards the door and left the room. My eyes caught Andrew's door open and I rushed to it.
I went in immediately to see Tessy sleeping next to him on the bed.
Like seriously???
She said she would be back, didn't she?
I tapped her on her arm and her eyes opened.
"Go away. I'm trying to get some sleep" She murmured.
A frown crept on my face as I watched her go back to sleep.
"This ain't fair, Tes. I've been waiting for almost hour now and then, I come In here and see you sleeping" I peeved feeling agitated.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes.
Yes - she looked tired but No - I can't go to bed with this thing strong as a rock.
She carried Andrew up and dropped him in his cradle. Then she covered him up with the light blanket.
She turned to me and sprung her arms In the air signalling me to carry her. I lifted her up from the floor and carried her into my arms.
I retreated back to the bedroom with her and she starts to take off her clothes.
God! I can't stress her. She must have found it hard taking care of the baby alone.
I'm not so cruel to deny her good sleep.
"It's alright, Tess. We can do this some other time" I said getting on the bed with her.
She slumped on the bed immediately and dozed off.
Yeish. She couldn't even thank me.
I sighed and laid beside her.
(Next Morning)

I worked on Steve's tie as he got prepared for a meeting with some foreign companies.
I've been thinking about us going on a vacation as a family with no one or work to bother us.
Steve has practically been working for his parents. He's always worrying about the company and such.
He never takes a break. So, during this vacation - he would be all mine.
He'll get to spend more time with Andrew than he used to. I know we just began a family and we have just one child but most times, its best you do things in order to prevent harm In future.
I need to bring our family together before aims of making money breaks us up.
I wonder how his parents would see this idea.
I'm sure his mom won't mind.
I'm thinking about China or Africa.
Somewhere completely different and has an impact.
"I will be traveling next week for an endorsement campaign. Dad wants me to supervise the whole thing" He said placing his two hands on my waist.
"Really? When are you going to be back?" I asked feeling perturbed.
This isn't the first time he's traveling but I don't think I can stand being alone in this house.
It would just be the maid, Andrew and I.
This is not fair at all...
"I'll be back once we are done" He replied walking past me.
"This is not right, Steve. Why can't you tell your parents to hire someone else who would be running the family businesses? You're married for peace sake! The traveling has to stop" I stated dolefully.
"I know its not right but I can't turn them down, they're my parents but I'll talk to mom about finding someone else that can do the jobs" He said picking up his briefcase.
I smiled - quite satisfied.
"Alright. Take good care of Andrew. See you later, Tess"
And with that, he left the room.
