Jason's( P. O. V )
I ended the call.
Maria is so smart no scratch that she is so intelligent, the way she turned the tables on me... Wow!! all my friends said that she is a gem and they were right.
Right now I'm getting ready I already put my clothes on, I was just putting my shoes on when I heard a knock on my bedroom door.
I bet it could be my dad.
"Come in!" I yelled.
The door open almost instantly and my dad walked in.
"Son, are you ready?" He asked. "you know we can't be late"
My dad James Mendez a worldwide business man.
He's always so punctual.
"Good morning to you too dad and yes I'm ready, how do I look?" I asked standing and fixing my suit jacket.
He smirked. "Your sense of humor is enlightening son, you look quite good if I may add." he stated in his British accent.
My dad had spent most of his life in England.
He doesn't even bother to greet me.. but I'm already used to it.
"Thanks dad, can we go now." I responded with a smile.
I want to pick Maria up, I'm dying to see her. Just to see her beautiful face and I'll be more than content.
"Okay, but why so eager to leave."
He inquired, placing his hands in the pocket of his pants.
"Dad I'm want to pick Maria up so I don't want to keep her waiting." I informed a little hesitantly.
"Maria huh, okay lets go then we don't want to keep the young lady waiting." he remarked with a little smirk and I smiled.
We walked downstairs and I spotted Mrs Angela... she was talking to my mom her palms were closed together.
"Mum what's going on here?" I asked, my mum and Mrs Angela both turned to look at me.
"Nothing son it's just that Angela wants to go to the graduation event to see Maria." My mom informed me.
"So than what's the problem. She's Maria's mother after all, Maria comes first, her job comes second." I stated.
I know how happy Maria would be to see her parents at the graduation event.
"But son I want to host a party in the house for your graduation with all your friend's with there parents. Angela needs to prepare everything, the food, the drinks-" I cut her off she always thinks about parties.
"Mum please don't start with your list. Maria needs her mum at her graduation, just like I need you there, you were always fond of Maria, what changed?" I questioned.
All I want is to make Maria happy, just to see a smile on that beautiful face of hers. If seeing her mother at our graduation event will make her happy then so be it.
"Nothing changed honey, I just..." she paused for a minute then continued. "okay Angela you can go to the graduation event" she agreed turning looking at Mrs Angela. I couldn't help smiling at Mrs Angela's reaction.
"Oh myy gracias, gracias , gracias." She beamed happily. ( thank you, thank you, thank you. )
I laughed.
Maria acts the same way when she is really happy about something or when she gets what really she wants.
"Muchas gracias Madam" she thanked my mom with unshed tears in her eyes.

I always loved it when she spoke in Spanish... and also when she tried to speak English.
"Aunt Angela can we go now, I don't want to keep Maria waiting." I responded impatiently.
"Are we going too pick my daughter up?" she asked excitedly.
"Yes" I replied with a smile. She quickly took her purse and straightened her dress.
"We can go now." she said smiling at me.
She turned to my mom. " thank you once again Madam, I promise that I will came back as quick has I can and prepare for the party." she muttered.
She's so kind and well-mannered...just like Maria.
Like mother like daughter... Huh!
"Now I know were Maria gets her kindness from." my dad mumbled.
Wow! Did my dad actually say that... so unlike him, but he's right though.
I laughed. "can we go now." I said Impatiently.
"Yes, lets go before my son loses his mind." my mom remarked playfully and we all laughed.
All of us walked out of the house and inside my parents car, Maria's dad was already there sitting on the driver's sit.
"Angela are you coming with?" he asked glancing at his wife.
"Yes..." She replied. "Is there a problem?"
"No mi amor. I just thought Mrs Jessica will make you do house work or something." He responded. ( My love. )
"She allowed me to accompany all of you." Maria's mom replied in her Spanish accent.
Her English skills as improved over the years.
After the couple finished they conversation.
Mr Xavier drove us to Maria's condo.
"I'll go get her." I told my parents.
I got out of the car and walked to the door if Maria's condo and immediately knocked twice.
After a few minutes the door opened.
Oh my God!!
She looked gorgeous, gorgeous is an understatement.
She looked breathtakingly beautiful.
