Erik's POV
I have been suspicious of this Alpha since I found out about my father, and that Alpha snickered at my words. "Is something wrong, Alpha Louis?" I asked, trying to calm myself. I should not let him know that I am suspicious of him, and I don't have any evidence that says he is the one who did it. I should not let my emotions take over, but my instincts are currently telling me that this man in front of me should not be trusted.
"Pardon me, your majesty, I just remembered your father at your words," He explained.
How dare he mention my father? I closed my eyes for a minute to calm myself. "Thank you for remembering my father, Alpha," I said using my stern voice.
"He is like a brother to me, you see. We grew up together with Alpha Roy," He said, smiling.
I almost rolled my eyes and snickered at his words, but I stopped myself. Let's wait and see when my suspicions become valid, and I will personally claw his eyes out.
"Yes, I clearly remember you often visited the pack house when I was young," I said. He smiled and continued eating his food.
We all ate quietly, and the Alphas together their mates left to rest since the wedding would be tomorrow. The only ones left in the kitchen are me, Clara, Tia, Ian, Lia, Alpha, Rick, and Melissa.
"So that is Alpha Louis," Tia said.
"Yes, observe him thoroughly," I ordered.
"He has had different vibes since I last saw him," Clara said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"He was quiet then, and I can still be comfortable with him, but now, I feel that I should stay away from him," Clara explained.
Yes, his vibes changed, and the looks that he gave. Last time he was always looking down, but when I was talking to him earlier now. It seemed like he was glaring at me. There are so many things that I do not know, and that is starting to get me. It is scary to face something you don't know.
"Alpha Rick, is everything fine with the security?" I asked.
"Yes, your majesty, Luna Tia also helped with the security," Alpha Rick replied.
"Good, we shall all take a rest then. Especially for the both of you, you have a big day tomorrow," I said while standing up.
I instantly grabbed Clara's hand for us to walk hand in hand until we arrived at the room they had prepared for us. Clara took a bath, and I followed. We were now on the bed lying side by side.
"What if he is not the real mastermind?" Clara asked.
"Then I can't of anyone who could have done that to my father," I said.
"What if it's Alpha Roy?" She asked.
"That's impossible, but if he is the one who caused my father's death, I think I don't know what I will do to him due to anger," I said.
"Yeah, he was nice to me when I stayed there for two nights before coming to our pack," Clara said softly.
"One thing is clear," I said. Clara turned and looked at me.
"The hut I was searching for was not in the pack, but it was on someone else's," I added.
"I hope the day will come that we will only talk about happy things," Clara said before letting the sleep take over her.
I smiled and kissed her on the forehead. "Me too, my love. I also want to spend my days and nights with you talking about happy things," I thought.
After that, I also slept while thinking of what will come to us.
Clara's POV
I woke up and saw that Erik had already left. I stretched my arms into the air and looked at the window. The weather is excellent, and I should try and call the girls for a run. I forced myself out of bed and entered the bathroom.
After making sure I looked okay, I left the room and saw Ian outside of our room standing, I smiled at him, and he bowed.
I made my way to the kitchen, with Ian following from behind. I saw Lia and Tia eating at the dining table while talking. Lia saw me and stood up to greet me.
"Your highness," She said.
"Good morning," Tia greeted me and served me a plate.
"The weather is nice. Let's look around the territory?" I said, inviting them.
"Sure! That's a good idea," Lia exclaimed. Ian frowned, not happy with the idea, and Lia gave him a look. Ian immediately changed his expression, and I giggled.

We are outside with Melissa, fixing the clothes we will use after we shift. We shifted to our wolf form, and Tia rode her broom. She flew, and we ran, following her from the ground. Their territory is vast and full of animals. As we ran through the forest, the birds flew, startled by us.
"I haven't had a run for so long," I mind-linked them.
"Yeah, and the weather is nice too," Lia replied.
"Let's turn here," Melissa said.
Melissa can still talk to us through the pack link since Erik doesn't want her to break the link so that if something happens to her, he will know immediately.
We did some rounds and returned to the entrance in the pack house. We took our clothes and hid behind some trees for us to change.
"That was fun," Lia said.
"Yes, it is. I'm glad we did this," Melissa said.
"Well, It is nice to fly around in this weather. Now let's go. We need to prepare the she-wolf of the night," Tia said, urging us to enter the pack house much faster.
"Can we at least eat first" Lia suggested.
"Yeah, we should," Melissa said.
"Is it lunch already?" Tia asked, not noticing the change in the sky.
"Yes," Ian said. If he still stayed quiet, I would have forgotten that he was with us.
"Okay, we really should eat," Tia said and started walking towards the pack house.

Everyone became busy preparing for the wedding, and the girls and I helped Melissa to get ready.
"This color is most suitable for her skin tone," Lia said, debating with Tia what eyeshadow she would put on her.
"I want the lighter one, guys," Melissa said while her eyes were closed.
Melissa was ready in a few hours, and we all gasped at her look. "You look lovely," I said, trying to stop my tears from falling.
"It suits you," Lia said.
We heard someone knock, and Tia opened the door. Erik and Ian came fully dressed. As usual, my mate looks handsome and Ian too. Why do the males around me look so godly?
"Everything is ready. The ceremony is about to start," Erik said, looking at Melissa sincerely.
Melissa looked back at him, smiling. "You look beautiful, my sister," Erik said, and Melissa nodded, trying to stop her tears.
"Let's go, my life?" Erik said, offering his hand that I gladly took.
"We'll see you there," I said and left the room. The others followed.
Erik and I made our way to our throne, and the others stood near the tables. The music started, and some pups walked into the aisle. Then Alpha Rick's parents followed, and Rick was the last one. Erik stood and went to the hall entrance, waiting for Melissa. The door opened and showed Melissa standing at the door, holding a bouquet.
Melissa walked until she reached where Erik was. Erik offered his arm, and Melissa smiled, linking her arms to him. I smiled sadly at Erik, who was looking at me. I nodded at him to say that everything was okay.
I felt in our mate link that he is feeling sad that he is finally sending away her cousin to someone. They walked through the aisle, and when they reached Alpha Rick, Erik gladly gave Melissa's hand to Alpha Rick, and both of the guys hugged each other. Erik then turned to Melissa and hugged her before returning to my side.
I grabbed Erik's hand and squeezed it tightly. He smiled at me, and we both watched the ceremony happily.

"You may now kiss the bride."
Alpha Rick kissed Melissa hungrily, and we all laughed at him. Melissa raised the bouquet and waved it into the air. The crowd shouted, cheering for their Alpha and Luna. The guests clapped their hands happily.
The married couple went down the stairs, and the celebration started. Pack members and the guests walked toward the married couple, congratulating them. Erik and I stood and also walked toward them.
"Congratulations!" I squealed and hugged Melissa. She hugged me back and also hugged Erik.
"I'm happy for you," Erik said to Melissa.
"Thank you, I'm glad you are here," Melissa replied to Erik.
I suddenly felt goosebumps all over my body and linked my arm to Erik's. He was surprised and gave me a worried look.
"Congratulations, Alpha Rick and Luna Melissa," Alpha Louis said from the back.
What was that? Why did I suddenly feel that something dangerous would happen to me? I held Erik's arm tightly, and he kept glancing at me, worried about my state.
I am feeling scared that something dangerous will happen to me. I felt cold through my spine and glanced at the back. I saw Alpha Louis staring at me, and I just forced myself to smile at him.
"Thank you. Alpha Louis," Alpha Rick said while shaking the hand of Alpha Louis.
I felt something wrong for a minute. It was the most dangerous I felt.
"It's a killing intent," Angeline said.
"Why would he release some killing intent to me, the Queen, when he is surrounded?" I asked.
"It was for a second, but I also felt it," Angeline replied.
I would understand if he would direct it with Erik, but why me? Is he connected to me somehow?
I was deep in thought when I felt Erik squeeze my hand. I came back to my senses and smiled at the newlyweds.
The ceremony was fun, and everything was excellent and beautiful. We are sitting on our throne, watching everyone. When the music changed for a slow dance, Alpha Rick bowed to Melissa and offered his arm to her. Melissa gracefully linked her arms to him, and together they walked to the hall's center. The newlywed danced, and we all saw how deeply loved they were by each other. Minutes passed, Erik also invited me to dance, and we walked to the center, everyone followed, and now the center of the hall was full of couples dancing.
"Honey, I am not comfortable with that Alpha Louis," I whispered.
"What happened? I've felt that you are nervous," Erik said.
"When we were giving our congratulations earlier. I felt a killing intent directed to me," I confessed.
"Why am I hearing this now?" Erik said, lowly growling.
"I was about to tell you earlier, but I don't want the newlyweds to worry," I explained.
I felt that he was angry and wanted to kill Alpha Louis at this moment, but I hugged him while we were dancing.
"Let's not make a scene at their wedding, calm down. I'm not sure if it was him because he is not the only Alpha on our back," I said, trying to convince him. Erik closed his eyes and kissed me on my forehead.
"If our troops are ready, I will destroy him and his pack, not letting every single one of them alive," Erik snarled.
I told him I was not sure if it was Alpha Louis, but I was convinced it was him. When Erik and I started dancing, I felt someone staring and looked around. I saw Alpha Louis staring at me. When our eyes met, he smiled and raised his cup for me. I gave him an awkward smile and looked at Erik.
I was starting to feel uncomfortable and disgusted with him. What does he want from me? Why does he keep on giving me some unwanted attention? He is starting to get to my nerves.
I am happy at the wedding of Melissa and Alpha Rick, but I can't tolerate being in the same room with Alpha Louis.
