Jacob couldn’t believe his eyes when a woman who looked so beautiful approached him with the sweetest smile he had ever seen all his life. However, she would be prettier if she opted not to wear the turtle neck style dress. Although the sleeveless ribbed turtleneck dress emphasized her toned physique, he considered it to be ridiculous. Why the hell would she wear a turtleneck in the middle of summertime?
“You must be Blair’s friend,” he assumed as he motioned for her to sit down for a minute. They needed an introduction before going out as a couple.
“I am,” she replied demurely.
“I know that this may sound rude to you but I don’t like to beat around the bush,” he warned her and she nodded. “So how much do you usually charge for a night?”
Blair knitted her brows in confusion and asked, “Excuse me?”
Jacob smirked when Miss Annie tried to play an innocent whore. “Your rate per night,” he emphasized in a controlled voice so that the other customers wouldn’t have a hint to what they’re discussing.
“It’s a monthly subscription, sir.” After a few seconds, she wondered where she got an idea to charge him with a monthly subscription. The man’s expression told her that he was surprised, and Blair could only chuckle when a line appeared on his forehead.
“Are you serious?”
“Yes,” she replied nonchalantly.
“I see. Then did you bring an invoice?”
“Next time, Mr. Gordon. I still have to check if you’re worthy to be one of my clients,” she declared.
Jacob subtly arched his brows to question the damn woman’s statement. “You’ll check if I’m worthy? Who the fuck do you think you are? You’re just a lowly kind of a woman!”
Blair didn’t flinch even a little bit when Jacob continued to insult the woman she portrayed for the night. She managed to smile at him without showing any hint of embarrassment or humiliation. “You might think it that way but admit it, Mr. Gordon. You needed me more than I need you,” she stated.
“No, but it’s the other way around, Miss Annie. Now, why don’t you sit down so we can talk about your role later,” he ordered.
Blair demurely sat down across Jacob Gordon to keep the wig in place. She wore a purple wig that was neatly coiffured on her head. Without Tracy’s help, she wouldn’t be able to show up in front of Jacob confidently. “Whatever it is, Mr. Gordon, I still have to check if you’ll be worthy to be one of them.”
Jacob stared at Miss Annie who’s unbelievably proud of herself and gritted his teeth. “How are you going to do it?”
“Size matters,” she copied Tracy’s favorite line.
Jacob coughed as soon as he understood her point then he glared at the woman who sat comfortably across him. “Size matters? What do you mean?”
“Eight inches or nothing at all,” she declared while trying to stop herself from laughing. Eight inches? Was it even feasible? Just the thought of an inches male organ penetrating her body scared the shit out of her!
“E-eight?” Jacob stammered when he repeated the qualified size for her future clients and blood rushed through his cheeks. If the woman could not be embarrassed, the opposite applied to him.
“Yes,” she replied.
“You have a big appetite, Miss Annie,” he told her. “Anyway, finish your frappe so we can go,” he ordered.
Blair sipped the frappe with gusto and convinced herself to be cool just for the night. She planned to discuss with Carmela Gordon that it’s impossible to act as Blair and Miss Annie in front of Jacob. Perhaps, she should just quit her job.
Later on, Jacob took her to his car, the one he drove when she was invited for a family dinner once, and she was hesitant. Somehow, her memory while being inside the car was horrible. However, when she glanced at Jacob, she just smiled and let him opened the door for her. “Thank you,” she mouthed.
“Just do your best later,” he reminded her.
Blair nodded her head in agreement because there’s no way she would forget about the rules. She had to act as his girlfriend to discourage Zanetta and it should be discreet. Jacob didn’t want his mother to learn about the truth. Unknown to her boss, Carmela Gordon already thought of a way to saddle him with a woman.
Before Jacob entered the car, Blair saw how he unbuttoned his plaid shirt under the four-button trendy jacket. He looked more relaxed when he undid the button, and she had to look away as fast as she could before he would notice. As always, Jacob Gordon wore a fancy suit with rich details.
“I hope you don’t mind but can I ask you something?” She inquired before he started the engine.
Jacob glanced at the woman beside him and arched his thick brows in response. “I hope it’s not too personal because I’d hate to share my details with someone like you,” he said.
For the nth time, Blair rolled her eyes at Jacob when he belittled her once again. “No, it’s nothing personal, sir.”
Jacob started the engine to get going because they’re almost late for dinner. “Alright, shoot!”
“Are you gay?”
He accidentally stepped on the brake causing his companion to curse under her breath. Jacob took a deep breath and tell himself to ignore the woman’s question. Or was he obvious? No, she could just be fishing for the information she could use to manipulate him for money. Then, he narrowed his eyes at her and asked, “Why? Do you want to experience how potent am I?”
Blair saw how he smirked earlier and he must have thought that she would fall to his scheme. “If you’re trying to scare me, just stop it because it won’t work. Fyi, gays can be potent too. Haven’t you heard of gays with a wife?”
Jacob clenched his jaw when Miss Annie managed to rebuff his words. She showed her expertise when it comes to men and he had to deal with it. “Are you fine with bedding a gay?” Once again, he tried to attack him with his words.
“No, but you’ll be an exemption if ever.”
Jacob slammed the steering wheel before he stepped on it and wished to scare the woman with his driving speed. However, when he glanced at her, she was more relaxed than ever, and the darn brat even smiled when she caught him staring.
He succeeded in scaring her she wouldn’t give him the satisfaction to know. Even if she wanted to throw up, she held it just fine for her pride’s sake and smiled at him. She was only relieved when Jacob parked his precious car in front of a grand house.
“I thought we are going to a hotel,” she asked.
Actually, he had no intention to meet his childhood friend but his mother insisted on meeting Zanetta Matsuda. It’s for old time’s sake, she said, but he knew better. Carmela Gordon tried to play a cupid between him and Zanetta, and he couldn’t allow her to manipulate his love life. “Zanetta said she’s tired and didn’t wish to go anywhere.”
His tone alarmed her when she caught something between the lines. What has she gotten herself into? “Does Zanetta know that I’m coming with you?”
“No,” he answered.
Blair gritted her teeth when she discovered the reason why Jacob insisted on tagging her along. She heard his conversation with the woman earlier but there should be something she missed. “So, you’re going to use me?”
“Yes,” he replied.
She began to despise the way he responded with a single word. She could do anything but never would she hurt another woman’s feelings. “You mentioned that she just got back from Europe, how did you know that you are still the man she wanted to have?”
“I just know.”
My god! Blair gently massaged her temple after hearing his nonsense reply. He just knew? Whoa, what a confident man! “Well, you can assume it that way,” she replied, then he smirked.
“You’ll see,” he confidently said.
