Sophie Foster’s seemingly capricious behavior was actually meant to dissolve the awkwardness.
It not only eased the atmosphere but also provided Nathan Moore a reason to back down.
Especially since the man behind her was also chiming in, looking at Nathan Moore with feigned displeasure and furrowed brows.
"Did you hear that, Nathan? My little Sophie is unhappy, hurry up and put the cigarette away."
Nathan Moore glanced disdainfully at Sophie Foster, who was shaking her head and glaring at him, and muttered, "What a fuss." Nonetheless, he still tossed the cigarette onto the low table.
"Come on, guys, let the women talk, and we brothers will continue to play cards." Felix Shaw, who was still at the card table, eagerly suggested, hoping to win more while his luck was good.
Nathan Moore looked sideways towards Titus Zane who was sitting beside him, who had been sitting slightly turned away from Mia Foster, leaving his back to him.
Nathan Moore pursed his lips, ever since that time, he has been enduring Titus Zane’s silent treatment; when facing him, he is no longer as articulate as before, and he doesn’t talk much either.
Like a puppet, obedient yet seemingly lifeless.
He disliked this submissive version of Titus Zane; no matter how he treated him, he would just silently endure without fighting back, as if punching cotton.
The numbing sensation made him lose even the desire to get angry.
Nathan Moore stood up, suddenly feeling his efforts were redundant, having sent a driver to take him out for a breather, which he seemingly did not appreciate at all.
He even cursed himself internally, clearly wanting to see him suffer, yet now he found himself caring for him.
"Hurry up, don’t dawdle." Felix Shaw couldn’t wait any longer, gesturing away as he saw Nathan Moore sit down at the card table again, and Nicholas Croft patted the girl sitting on his lap, "Go play with your sisters, uncle is going to play cards."
"Uncle Nicholas, win a lot and buy Sophie a beautiful bag."
Sophie obediently stood up, and Nicholas Croft pinched her petite nose, his lips curling with affection.
"Come on, Sophie, power-up uncle, you’ll surely win some money." Sophie Foster, grabbing Nicholas Croft’s arm and standing on tiptoe, puckered her lips covered in glossy lip balm.
Nicholas Croft cooperatively bent down, and his thin lips pressed against Sophie Foster’s lips, then he patted her arm again.
"Go play, sweetie." It was clear from Nicholas Croft’s eyes that he always doted on Sophie Foster like a child.
The four men sat at the card table to continue their game, while Sophie stood in front of Titus Zane and Mia Foster, "Let’s go, you two fairy sisters, don’t just sit here stupidly, I’ll take you to have fun."
Just as Nathan Moore was about to forbid Titus Zane from leaving, Felix Shaw across the table had already hurriedly spoken up.
"Go on, let little Sophie take you to play for a while, no need to stay here with us."
As for Mia Foster, while Felix Shaw disliked her, he didn’t dare to offend her easily, so the best option was to send her away, the farther the better.

Titus Zane stood up; since he was reluctant to come to the clubhouse, he hadn’t dressed up deliberately, in casual clothes and a knit jacket over it, his long hair casually falling over his shoulders, with no makeup on his face.
"Uncle Nicholas, we are off to have fun, remember to win a lot!" Sophie Foster waved to Nicholas Croft before leaving.
Mia Foster also greeted Felix Shaw, "Felix, you guys have fun, we’re off."
"Go on, go on," Felix Shaw fiddled with his cards impatiently and dismissively.
Actually, Titus Zane didn’t intend to say goodbye to Nathan Moore. It was just that he left in a hurry and the driver came to pick him up, so he forgot his wallet and had to approach Nathan Moore.
Nathan Moore turned his head, slightly lifting his handsome face to look at her, his expression indifferent.
"What is it?" Nathan Moore knew Titus Zane’s personality well; he wouldn’t interact with him unless there was an issue.
"I forgot to bring money." Titus Zane honestly said, feeling a bit awkward as it was the first time he asked Nathan Moore for money.
