Her crop top had ridden up halfway during the fight, clinging to her in all the wrong places—now more like a battle flag than clothing. A living room that never existed.
David’s hands trembled on the keyboard.

He slammed the desk once.
He gritted his teeth.
He grabbed his head, fingers digging into his scalp.

His chest was rising and falling like he’d just finished sprinting.
