I woke up to the sound of the surrounding wild. Kinda like how I'd imagine the Amazon to sound at night. But something was different, something was.. off about this place. Then I heard it, the long, deep, low howl of a gigantic wolf. From its vocal prowess, I could tell that this was no regular wolf. I learned how to be stealthy while hunting from my Papau. I bent down low and listened to my surroundings. Where on earth was I? This place felt oddly familiar, but also looked foreign to me. Like I've been here before, but it was so long ago that I didn't t really remember it.
I realized that I was buck naked. It was around midnight and there're no streetlights, only the light of the half moon illuminating the entire area. It was so intoxicating and magnificent to behold, almost like it was calling to me. I was slowly traveling uphill through thick, lush, green foliage. The air smells amazing. I can smell the salty sea water. Was I on an island? Everything around me was nature. But as I stepped out into a clearing, I noticed this enormous white mansion completely surrounded by a tall, strong, black iron fence.
It was located at the very top of the land, so you got a breathtaking view of the whole island and of the sea as well. It was pure paradise. I was enjoying the scenery when I suddenly realized that I wasn't alone. I sensed a presence near me. Turning to my right, I spot the silhouette on the damp grass of the wolf I heard earlier.
It had to be at least 15 feet high from the top of its ears to the tip of its paws. And it was black as the darkest night, with a silver undertone. It stared down at me with an irritated expression on its furry face. "Come, we have much to discuss." It was that voice I've been hearing in my head!
Maybe now I can get some answers. I follow it as he slowly walks around the estate. I notice how every dozen feet or so tied to the top of the fence are these handmade wooden lit tiki torches. This place was big, I guesstimate at least 50 rooms in here easily. It's 4 stories high and has the same off white stucco design as my home ironically. It does remind me of my home, with its black fence, white house and being completely enclosed by greenery.
But I can admire this later. Right now, I need answers.
"Who are you, and why have I been hearing you in my head?" I demanded.
He continues walking slightly turning to me saying, "I am Kane and I am your Lycan!"
I frowned. "What's a Lycan?"
"Some call us werewolves, but we are more, far more powerful and purer than any werewolf could ever dream of being!"
What the hell! "Werewolf? They're not real..!" Are they? Kane still wore that irritated expression while peering at me. Can they be real, half man and half beast? But I mean, I am talking to an abnormally gigantic wolf, so shit, maybe it is possible.
"Why're you looking at me like that?" Now I was irritated. He stopped walking, so did I standing in front of him now. I wasn't afraid of him.
He snarls, spit flying from his mouth, eyes glowing dark green, boring into me.
"Why hadn't you Marked and Mated Our Mate yet!?" He yelled, and was pissed about something I hadn't done yet, and what's this mate shit again?
"Why hadn't I done what and who or what is a Mate?" I yelled back at him.
"Rukeya is OUR MATE, mines as well as yours and you still have Not made her Ours!" He shouts, thick drool dripping down in the grass.
"Wait, how is she yours, too?"
"Because I am your Lycan, me and you are One!" What.. okay, you lost me there. He rolled his eyes! How the hell is that even possible?
Kane let out a very long, exasperated sigh. "I really wish you'd grown up around Lycan kind. This would have been so much easier. It's like explaining this to a pup." He said, shaking his furry mane. What's a pup?
"A pup is a young wolf. Which Rukeya will have for us one day."
"My Keya is Not giving birth to some fucking Mutt! I'll be Damned!" I yell.
"Well then, you'll just be Damned because rather you like it or Not you are Lycan and any child you father will be Lycan as well!" He shouted.
"How the hell am I a Lycan and no one has ever told me? This just doesn't make sense!" I'm frustrated and confused. This is crazy! "And how come I've never seen or heard you before?"
Kane sits down with a loud thud on the grass. "You have seen me before. When you became of age at 16, I came forth for the first time. But you seem to have forgotten it. Shall I help you remember?" He asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Sure why not." I say sarcastically. I honestly didn't believe him.

FLASHBACK]
November 8th. 1989
It was midnight, Manuel was sleeping, so I took over. He's very strong-willed, but I can easily take control when he is sleeping. I walk outside to the park down the street. There are lots of trees for cover. I took off my clothes, hanging them out of sight in a tree nearby. I'm shifting for the first time. I feel my body emerging slowly from this small human boy into my huge, powerful self.
I feel my muzzle elongating, my claws sprouting out of my paws, bones rearranging, thousands of strands of fur erupting from my skin. After I completed it, I felt alive and free, ready to run around, so I did. I ran for a good hour or so. The park was empty, so no one saw me. I shifted back and returned to the tree, put on my clothes, and went home. You woke up that morning none the wiser. I've done it several times actually and when you were in training as well.
