FOUR YEARS LATER
Brody's POV
Karen came out of the kitchen with a smile on her face. "Where are the children?" She asked me.
"Upstairs, they're doing their school assignments. We don't want to raise dullards, do we?"
She chuckled softly and slumped down on the sofa. "Of course not."
I licked my lips and looked at her. "So what did you make?" I asked.
"You're always hungry."
I smiled at her. "That's because I'm a father, I have twins who love me."
"I'm also a mother of a handsome son and a beautiful daughter." She added.
"James and Ella love you." I told her.
"They love us." She corrected with a smirk.
"How's mom and dad? She didn't reply when I sent her a message on Facebook." I asked.
She chuckled softly. "After she won last year's cooking reality show, she's been really busy." She explained gently.
I shrugged. "And your dad?" I asked.
"Let's just say we're having a full house tomorrow." She answered and I narrowed my eyes at her in surprise.
What did she mean by a full house? "I don't understand you."
"Well, our family will be here tomorrow." She replied.
"Wow, that's nice. I can't wait to see Thomas and Helen."
"And most especially Diego." She added.
"Daddy, daddy." The children called out as they ran down the stairs.
"What's wrong?" I asked them.
Ella took the remote and turned it to another station. After a few seconds, she looked at me with a frustrated sigh. "I'm certainly sure they'll show it again." She answered.
"Show what?" I asked.
James climbed the sofa and placed his head on my lap. "Daddy, we saw you on TV. Your new music has fifty million streams on Spotify." He answered.
I giggled, they didn't know that I saw the news on social media and my management had informed me already. "Yeah, thanks for telling me." I appreciated their gestures by giving the both of them a hug.
Karen suddenly covered her mouth and ran up the stairs. I stood up worried, I didn't want her to fall sick. "What's wrong with mommy?" Ella asked in a calm voice.
The kids didn't have to be worried about her, I didn't want them to worry about anything. "She's fine, she just went up the stairs to check something." I reassured the kids because I didn't want them to feel sad.
Being a dad came with many responsibilities and I was ready to fulfill all. Karen came down the stairs with a confused facial expression.
"Kids, go back to your room. I'll be with you soon." I told them and they quickly ran up the stairs.
She looked at me and murmured. "Brody, I think I'm pregnant."
My eyes widened. "You're pregnant?" I asked her with a surprised but excited expression.
"Yes, I'm fucking pregnant." She screamed back at me.
