Jessica was a bit dazzled since he didn’t even argue, which made her satisfied with his actions.
Before starting, Jeff proceeded to ask her a few questions. He was seated at the chair with his laptop on the table, while Jessica sat on the bed, watching him.
"So before I start, I need some info. What is the exact username or email you used?" Jeff asked.
"Well, for my username, it’s Jessi River, and for my email... I haven’t used one in a long time, just my number," she responded.
"Then, is your number the one you are currently using?" Jeff asked.
She shook her head with a sigh, "I lost it, I know that you can recover your forgotten account using the number but I lost it. When I accidentally destroyed it," she responded.
Hearing this, he was perplexed. "Destroyed? That word seems to be a bit overbearing?" he questioned himself inwardly, but then he shook his head and continued.
Jeff nodded and asked another question, "When did you last log in? Like, which device did you use to log into this account?" he inquired.
Jessica thought for a moment before replying, "It’s from my old broken phone. It was already thrown away since it was like 8 years ago."
"Do you know the model of the phone you used?" Jeff asked.
"No, I don’t, but I remember the brand was Oppo," she responded.
"I see, so you didn’t use it on the tablet or laptop that is still working and living currently right?" he asked.
Hearing his question she just shook her head, and he nodded in understanding.
"Do you remember your password? Even just a little bit?" he asked.
Jessica closed her eyes, trying to recall something. After a while, she shook her head.
"I can’t remember, it’s really been a long time. Sorry about that," she said, feeling down.
"Don’t worry, it’s just a procedure. It doesn’t mean it’s not recoverable," Jeff comforted her, and she felt better from his reassuring words.
Jeff then leaned back slightly, his hands resting on the keyboard, "Okay, next one might be tricky, but just do your best, alright?"
Jessica nodded as he continued, "Do you remember around what year or how old you were the last time you successfully logged into that account? Maybe even where you were?"
Jessica furrowed her brows as she stared at the ceiling, thinking hard.
"Uhm... I think I was maybe nine or ten? We still lived in our old house back then, around Leganes, Iloilo," she said, her tone uncertain.
"Ohh, I thought your hometown was here. It’s actually close to the city," Jeff said, surprised.
"Well, both my mom and dad decided to move here since it’s less crowded and more peaceful. But when I turn college, we’ll go back and start living there again," she responded.
Jeff nodded as he typed that in, noting the location, "That helps a lot. Even rough info like that can narrow things down."
He then glanced back at her, "Now, this one might sound a bit techy, but do you remember if your account had any kind of extra verification?"
"Something like, did it ever ask for a code sent to your phone or email?" he asked.
Jessica frowned, trying to recall, "I think it used to send something to my phone. But I’m not sure. I always just tapped ’log in’ and it worked. And also, that number is gone, so I can’t receive any more of those codes."
"Do you know if your old account is still public? Can people view the posts or photos that you’ve uploaded?" Jeff asked.
"Yes, it’s still public and I can see my post in there," she replied
"Have you tried messaging it?" he inquired again.
"I tried messaging it once, just to see if anything would happen, like if it was still active or if someone would reply. But nothing happened," she responded.
"Of course, no one would reply since it’s not hacked," Jeff laughed, and she giggled as well.
After some time, he had finally organized his thoughts. Jeff took a deep breath and stretched his fingers before turning to Jessica with a calm expression.
"Okay, so here’s the plan, and I’ll keep it simple," he said, glancing briefly at his screen.
"First, even though we don’t have your phone or password, your account is still out there and it’s public. That means I can look at it like an outsider would. Think of it like checking a window from the outside."
Jessica nodded slowly, following along.
"Now, since you lost access to the number and didn’t connect an email, we can’t do the normal password reset. So instead, I’ll try to look for any weak spots maybe through saved links, cached pages, or public data tied to your old posts."
"Is that even possible?" she asked in awe since she had never dreamed this was possible at all.
Jeff smiled, "It’s not guaranteed, but yeah, I’ve done it before. If I can find clues about your device, location, or old logins, I can try to bypass the usual recovery by proving to the system that you are the real owner."

"Alright then, I’ll go ahead and start now," Jeff said, his focus sharp like a knight about to embark on a quest.
He powered on his laptop, and instead of the normal system, he triggered his hidden boot partition which is an encrypted, disguised, and entirely invisible environment to regular users.
The screen blinked with artificial errors, mimicking a broken BIOS. That only he knew the real path.
He tapped out his personal keystroke pattern, the familiar rhythm that no machine could guess and no human could mimic.
Within seconds, EIDOLUX loaded fully into RAM, leaving no trace on the hard drive. With the system was then alive.
