A sudden blast of wind brushed past his cheek and in that same instant Jeff was already in front of him.

His instincts screamed danger, but his body was too slow to react. And by the time he processed what had just happened, it was already too late.
Jeff’s fist was already halfway to his chest. The punch looked casual with no flair or wind-up, just a clean straight strike aimed for center mass.
The man raised both arms and gritted his teeth, fully aware that the kid’s power was no joke. But the moment Jeff’s knuckles made contact, his entire body shook from the impact.
A sickening sound echoed as the force slammed into his forearms like a sledgehammer, crashing through his guard.
His knees buckled, boots skidding slightly across the ground, while his teeth clenched from the sharp pain shooting through both arms.
It wasn’t just impactful, it was crushing. He felt like he had been struck by a battering ram disguised as a boy’s hand.
"What kind of power is this? How is he so strong?" the man thought, his brows furrowing slightly.
His muscles throbbed from the single block, and before he could recover his stance, Jeff was already on the move.
Another strike came from the side that is a clean hook to the ribs. He tried to twist and catch it with his elbow, but the angle was too shallow.
The fist landed solidly, and the sound of bone meeting flesh echoed. The man grunted sharply, his breath catching in his throat as the air was driven from his lungs.
His arms felt numb and his core was screaming as Jeff glanced at him with a casual look.
As his body dipped slightly, his right leg coiled like some kind of spring, and with a sudden snap, the kick came roaring into the man’s stomach.
It was another clean and brutal side-kick, packed with kinetic energy and perfect balance.
Of course, he controlled its output because he knew he could easily kill someone with it, let alone leave them bedridden.

His body flew through the air with a sharp gasp, saliva spraying from his mouth as his eyes widened in pure disbelief.
His spine arched from the impact as he crashed several meters away, bouncing once on the ground before landing with a grunt.
He did not even get up. All he could do was clutch his stomach as the force of that single blow spread through his torso like wildfire.
"This power is so inhumane. Yep, I’m not wrong anymore. This kid is a warrior, a strong one at that," he groaned through the pain.
He had been a mercenary, but most of his work involved fighting ordinary people.
Yet there were certain groups, or more precisely certain individuals, that even regular mercenaries knew they must never offend.
These kinds of people were called warriors. They were known for their inhuman strength, capable of displaying power five or even ten times greater than that of an average person.
Offending one of them was already considered a death sentence. And now that he had actually offended one, it was truly troublesome.
He looked at Jeff, who stared back at him with those calm, emotionless eyes.
He let out a laugh because being killed by a warrior, especially a young talent like that, almost felt worth it.
Deep down, he felt that this kid might become a legend someday. So if he were to die here, then maybe it was an honor.
"Are you not going to finish this? This is your chance you know," the man said as blood dripped from his lips.
He was lying there, feeling pain with every breath, knowing that moving might only make it worse.
"Kill? It’s not something I have on my mind. I don’t want to add more blood to my hands. So this time, I’ll let you go. But if you do it again, I will teach you a very harsh lesson," Jeff replied calmly.
With that, Jeff turned around, took Jessica’s hand, and walked away from the scene.
Seeing him leave with all his men down and some still groaning in pain made the man laugh wildly until Jeff and Jessica were finally out of sight.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk," he muttered, shaking his head.
"You really are young and naive. This world is much harsher than you think," he said as he pulled out a cigarette.
He tried to take a drag from the cigarette but coughed hard as the pain flared in his chest. Still, he continued smoking.
"Well then, I guess I should teach you why you must end a battle once you start it," he muttered.
He pulled out his phone, and on the screen was a photo of Jeff and Jessica sitting together on a bench. His smile turned cruel, as his eyes were ice cold as he began dialing a number.
"Young master, I failed. The kid is actually much stronger than I thought. But don’t worry. If we want something, we always get it," he said into the phone with a chilling look.
A younger man’s voice erupted from the other end of the line, followed by the sound of a hand slapping a table, loud enough to be overheard.
"What? You failed and let them go? What the hell happened?" he demanded furiously.
The tattooed man then explained everything that had happened. As he spoke, the young man on the other end fell silent, his expression shifting into a deep frown.
He was genuinely surprised that the same young man he had casually seen from the car was actually an exceptional fighter.
He knew how capable Bernard was, a man who had fought and survived in warzones. But that handsome kid could actually fight?
This caught him completely off guard, "I’m sending some of our men to you now," the red-haired young man said firmly.
That’s right, this red haired person was none other than the one Michael had been searching for.
He is none other than Angelo Rivas, he had already left the town and was now hiding in a secluded location.
During his leisurely ride with his bodyguard, he happened to glance out the window and was taken aback by the beauty of the girl.
Since he was already a criminal, he thought, why not commit another crime? That is, if he ever got caught at all.
With that twisted thought, he instructed Bernard to follow Jeff and Jessica, and to find a chance to kidnap the girl so he could have his way with her.
"Girl, I’ll let you go for now, but be prepared for what is to come Hehe," he drooled as he imagines the scene.
The backups then soon arrived, carrying away the injured. As for the bodies, they had called someone to take care of the cleanup.
Leaving them behind would only attract police attention and risk exposing their new location, so they made sure no trace was left. With that everything was wiped clean.
Since they were now on the run and they relocated to Batad, making the police search a total failure.
Meanwhile, Jeff and Jessica finally found a taxi. Waiting for a tricycle would have taken too long, and neither of them wanted to stay in the area any longer than they had to.
Luckily, there was a taxi nearby, so they got in and sat in the back. As the taxi drove away, Jessica began checking Jeff for any injuries.
He tried to reassure her that he was completely fine. Seeing that he truly was unhurt, her concern began to ease.
She let out a quiet breath, then leaned closer. Her head gently rested against Jeff’s shoulder, their backs sinking into the seat together in silence.
Jessica’s face turned red, but she did not care about the embarrassment.
Jeff noticed her leaning in but brushed it off those wild and bad thoughts, thinking that she must only be tired and overwhelmed after everything that had just happened.
As the taxi rolled on, Jeff could not help but replay the events in his mind.
The way he fought, the way he moved, it all came so naturally. Fighting and facing danger felt far more thrilling than he had ever imagined.
Since the ride was long, Jessica eventually fell asleep. As she started to slip over, Jeff caught her gently with his hand, realizing she was truly exhausted.
Without a word, he adjusted her position and let her rest on his lap, making sure she could sleep comfortably.
The driver glanced at the mirror and saw the scene. A small smile formed on his face.
"You have great luck, young man," he said in a low voice.
Jeff just smiled, not feeling shy about it anymore. He was starting to accept the misunderstandings.
Rather than getting flustered, he thought it was better to just go with the flow.
With that, the road ahead remained quiet, the silence filled only by the soft hum of the engine and the calm rhythm of the journey.
