Losing the mafia's support had Alvin watching the video David sent to him during his honeymoon taking notes of the details and noticed some changes thus sent for Colton who was glad to help.

" Colt, listen to the video and tell me what you noticed" he urged as Colt plugged the headset on his ears listening to her shenanigans about extorting his money And sneered failing to see his point.
" Whoever recorded it must have made a mistake because that's not Kate's voice. How did I miss this? Kate has a descending voice" he stated as Colt replayed it over and over and over and over again then hurriedly clicked on Alvin's tabloid to search for a few videos of Kate's when she was been monitored by Alvin and met Alvin's knowing eyes ashamed.

" It was recorded. Those words weren't hers. It was filtered. I can't believe he deceived us. What a smart move. Her presence in the video clouded our minds" Colt reasoned as Alvin facepalmed himself.
He was devastated.
David planned everything. He wanted him to divorce her.
" What do we do? Colt asked a disintegrated Alvin who was sulking over his vulnerability. Perhaps his love for Kate wasn't enough, David wouldn't have succeeded had he confronted her. His short temper had the best of him.
" Sir, we've to help her. We've to prove to her that David is the mastermind behind the accident and your misjudgments. David can't go scot-free. He has to pay perhaps you will gain her trust" Colt reasoned aware of Alvin's guilt.
" What will I say, Colt? She won't believe me. She loathes me and I don't blame her. I deserve it. She told me she loved me yet I maltreated her. I didn't believe her. I was blinded by rage. I was mad at the fact that I loved her despite her plot to extort money from me. I wanted her even though she cheated on me. I wanted her to hurt the way I was hurting. I fucked up Colt. I messed up" he said with red puffy eyes wiping his face momentarily.
" It's not too late to prove it to her. I'm sure she'll forgive you for Quinn's sake. She loves that boy. You can't give up on her. She has been through a lot. We need to make amends. I'm ready to fight this battle with you" Alvin met his pleading eyes and nodded.

Kate sat behind her desk previewing the documents that her personal assistant mailed to her for review to get Carla's company back as she needed the keys to Dante's secret vault.
Then the bell rang. She gritted her teeth then stood up to open the door.
" Louis, what's that? She asked pointing to the bouquet in his hands.
He shrugged handing it to her" flowers I guess and I think you have an admirer. You were always so lucky with men' Kate glared at him with eyes darting to the bouquet. She couldn't help but admire it.
Peonies, roses, lilies, tulips, and jasmine were her favorite.
" I don't think so but it's nice" she stepped aside for him to enter the house.
" I was hoping we could have some fun clubbing" he gave her the puppy eyes as she rolled her eyes unaffected but adhered to his request.
" Whatever makes you happy Louis" he smirked dashing to her closet to fix a dress for her.
" What are you doing?
" Getting you some clothes to wear. There's nothing wrong in dressing like a lady for a change. You're just thirty-two for Christ sake and trust me you don't look like one" Kate huffed offended
"Thirty-three Louis and I am not wearing that dress you're holding" he sneered
" Yes, you are. You need to relax for a while all you do is work and frown and work all day. Try it" she grumbled, stared at him then took the dress from him entering the fitting room.
" So tell me. How did you know I was in town? She asked the question that has been bothering her as she didn't inform them of her presence in town.
' I saw you on the papers. Mom wouldn't stop staring at your stoic face" she tensed up exiting the room.
" She saw me?
" Relax. She misses you that's all. She thinks you're far away because of her. She loves you more than anyone including me" Kate's eyes met his in guilt then hummed.
" I will see her soon. I hope so" she muttered the last phrase to herself twirling around to show him the dress.

' fabulous. Sometimes I wonder who you take after. Mom or Dad cause mom looks nothing like this" he stated pointing out his point staring at her gorgeous face.
" Oh shut up Louis. of course, I look like Mom" she sassed unwrapping her hair as she waved it then fixed it with her hands.
" Let's go. You're good to go" Louis chuckled certain she looked nothing like their mother and whistled at her swaying hips with second thoughts on the choice of clothes.
" Maybe you should wear something else" he suggested scratching the back of his head nervously taking a closer look at her curvy outline.
" Don't be such a baby Louis. I can take care of myself" she replied as he shrugged giving it a rest.
The doorman opened the grey Bugatti Chiron with a curt nod then took her fur coat pointing to the entrance.
Kate hummed in appreciation walking towards the door as Louis huffed.

The sight before her wasn't new as everyone was out doing their businesses.
Strippers were doing their pole dance while others were entertaining guests. Like I said normal club routines.
" For you miss" a waiter announced as she raised a brow recalling a similar situation.
" From the mafias in the house" Kate looked in their direction and nods in appreciation taking the glass of wine from the waiter then proceeded to stand beside Louis who was busy checking his wristwatch.
" Let's get drunk sis. It's been long I beat you in a drinking competition" she giggled accepting his challenge.
She was trying to be normal for him and felt horrible for forgetting how been normal felt like.
" Still the lady's man huh? She asked noticing the flock of girls staring daggers at her while some shamelessly threw flirtatious glances at him.
" That's their problem. I'm here to spend time with you big sis" Kate furrowed her brows suddenly worried about him.
' Louis, is something wrong? I don't like the way you said it"
" I'm sorry sis. I'm fine" he stated handing her a glass of wine which she gulped down in one go then picked another knowing Louis was a light drinker.
He was drunk within the next thirty minutes.
" Now spill. What's wrong with you? She asked as he giggled cupping her cheeks.
" Hmm' he laughed compressing her cheeks together which hurt like hell but she concealed it watching him.
" I need a glass of water"
" Why are you here Louis? Did Alvin send you?
" You mean your husband. You lucky girl" he teased pouting her mouth. She removed his hands from her mouth and sighed in frustration.
" I forgot how annoying you can be when drunk. Such a waste" she murmured opting to call it a day when he ran into the crowd and blended in.
" Louis!!! She called suddenly agitated for getting him drunk then a lady bumped into her which led to her falling to the ground no matter how much she tried to avoid it but a pair of calloused hands held her before she kissed the floor.
There was a sense of familiarity as she looked at her waist that he held then smelled his cologne and sneered.
She wanted nothing to do with him but was too confused to say it.
