It had been a week since her mother visited them in the hospital. No visit is not the correct word, the correct word is since her mother came to interview him. She had left blessing him when her questions were over and he had patiently answered them without any issue. She had given him positive feedback on his patience and spontaneous answers.
Riley was afraid that the beggar would be offended by her questions but he had proved her otherwise. After her mother had left, he was on cloud nine. And it could be seen from the way he had changed how he addressed her to "Honey" instead of 'Riley' despite their heated argument.
Riley had left it that. Arguing with him over the word 'honey', to who she owed her life sounded selfish to her. Her life though had drastically changed in a week. For the last week, she was in the hospital to take care of him who needed her to do everything for him, and sometimes she felt as if she was taking care of a baby who couldn't move. Whether it was to feed him or to take him to the washroom.
Though She was struggling to keep her job too since the day she had rudely behaved with Christian in her office. Rudolph had changed his behavior towards her. He had been trying to find reasons to fire her. The girl who never had to lift a finger to get the work done was working her ass off to manage her work and her husband. The hardest part of taking care of him was to help him to the restroom. Although no other accident like before had happened. But the image of 'his thing' was as clear as day in her mind.
It wasn't like, she was a pervert. She did try to settle him with a nurse but he had downright refused her by saying.
"Honey. I don't want anyone else to see your armor."
She had blushed at that. 'How did it become hers?'
Nevertheless, she owed him that, so the Maximum time of the day she was trying to spend it with him. Despite his condition, he made her laugh every time he was conscious. She didn't want to leave him when he was a mess. There was no new news of the devil Christian Evercast too. Raising a hell for her he had left her to dance in the storm alone. Yet Just for that, she was grateful. For her, solitude was sacred. Even if he would have dared to come near her at that time, she doesn't dare to think what will she do to him. Since he was the reason for her circumstances.
Though They both had spent their last week watching Netflix shows, listening to his favorite playlist. Somehow, she had felt they were closer than before. But she didn't want to voice it out. She had decided to wrap her feelings in the vaults of heart and she had decided to keep it that way. The more covered the better. Feelings for her were far beyond the horizon.
She wasn't able to stop her endless memory of how the last few days went.
"Honey. Wipe my back. I'm waiting."
It was Sunday, She looked at the clock- 11:30 am. She was asked to wipe his body clean by the doctors. Since it had been a week when probably he took a bath. And he would be more comfortable if his wife will give him a sponge bath.
Riley then realized she was distracted but she also dared not to glance at his perfect figure. She was afraid that she would be attracted to him.
With this thought in mind, she closed her eyes and began to wipe his back intently.
"Ah. Honey it hurts!"
"Uh. I'm sorry Mindy. I will be careful."
Fearing to touch his wounds she opened her eyes and began wiping his back carefully. The accident had left him a dozen injuries, both large and small, even after a week they still looked bad.
While Christian sat there enjoying his wife's touch. For only this reason he was in a good mood.
Holding the towel and turning to his front she lowered her head and spoke in a small voice.
"Mindy it's done. I am going to clean your front now."
Christian did not tease her this time, instead, he cooperatively raised his one hand which was pretty much healed.
"As you wish Honey."
Riley fetched a basin of warm water again from the bathroom and then continued to wipe his body again.
Christian suffered fewer injuries on the front of his body than the back, yet she was very careful when wiping his front.
She blushed and swallowed hard cleaning his abs, Riley squeezed her other hand trying desperately to suppress the need within.
While Christian's heart became light as he sniffed a familiar fresh smell coming from her body and the way her long black hair covered half of her face. It was enchanting.
Christian slightly narrowed his brown eyes. instinctively, he stretched out his long arm and pulled her to his embrace.
While Riley was still in shock, her body fell into a wide and solid hug. Through his naked cold skin, she could feel his strong heartbeat and tight muscles.
"Lub-dub, lub-shab. Lub-dub lub shab."
His unique smell of body floated into her nose. He gave off a natural aroma. His skin as hard as stone, completely strong.
However,
Riley tried to push him gently, careful of his wounds. But somehow her resisting behavior made him agitated. He didn't want to let her go yet. Instead, his grip around her waist tightened. And he lowered his head putting it in the crook of her neck inhaling deeply. 'Oh the things he wanted to do to her.'
While Riley immediately felt a tingling sensation between her legs as the blood in her body rushed towards her face. 'God. What's wrong with me.'
She was burning hot. She licked her Chapped lips but her tongue accidentally licked a wound on his chest. Christian inhaled a long heavy breath.
'Yuck.' But why did she felt hotter.
There was some remaining water dripping down his cheek past his stubble sharp chin towards the neck that directly ended at her white shirt. She shivered. Looking up a little more she realized he was staring at her with his mesmerizing brown eyes that were darkening with desire. Her eyes snapped back to his chest.
