After struggling to sleep, Kelly opens her eyes and looks around the unfamiliar room. Where am I? The bed feels silky soft and cool to the touch as her hand runs across the sheets. She looks next to her to see a man's back in the darkness and does not recognize who it belongs to immediately. She tries to recall the day before and suddenly realizes that they are in Paris. The city of love. Julian asked her to marry him, and all her dreams are coming true.
So many things run through her mind as she tosses and turns. Carefully making sure she does not wake Julian, she moves quietly. He is blissfully unaware of her nervousness, snoring next to her. Thank goodness for that. At least she has some time mentally to prepare for the morning when she will have to tell the girls.
She lays there for a while planning out the day ahead. Trying to figure out how to include Samantha in all of this she runs it around in her head. You know if you don't, she will be furious. Her little sister can be a pain in the butt; however, she has always been there when she needed her. Finally, she gives up and returns to sleep for a couple more hours.
Kelly wakes up early before the girls the next morning and decides to surprise them. She tells the girls that she is getting married today. They both start to scream as they jump up and down so excited for their mother. While trying to settle them down, she calls Samantha and tells her of the plans. They iron out the details and Julian calls Eddy to fly Samantha in this morning.
When all the calls have been made, they start to get ready. “Let’s go out and eat this morning, o.k.? We can pick out dresses for you girls while I get fitted for a suit.” He looks at them. They all agree that it is a great idea. Kelly takes a shower first and then gets her clothes ready while Julian cleans up. In the middle of shaving, he sees her walking by. “Hey, come here beautiful.” She walks to him, and he grabs her wearing only a towel and half shaven. He kisses her and gets shaving cream all over her.
“Now, see what you did.” She looks at him jokingly. “I have to clean up all this.” Laughing as she wipes the shaving cream from her face and dress.
He pats her ass on her way out of the bathroom. “I love you.”
After he gets dressed, he asks the girls, “Did you guys get a shower already?” They both nod. “Well, let’s go then.” He points to the door. Kelly leads the way, followed by Jaime, Lilly, and Julian. They happily get in the Escalade and drive off.
They end up in a little out of the way cafe. Beautiful stone figures line the street out front as they walk in the entrance. “It’s supposed to have the best breakfast in Paris.” Julian orders for them in French. When the meal comes, the girls are surprised that everything looks so delicious. They all take a bit of each plate and share. Julian turns to Kelly, “You have to try this.” He takes a fork and gently feeds her. He ends up getting a little on her upper lip, so he takes his thumb and wipes it away. She kisses his hand gently and smiles.
The girls start giggling. “Now, now. Don’t get funny.” Kelly looks at them.
“Hey, why don’t we get going so we can find you girls some pretty dresses for the wedding? I know that a certain someone is coming today and is going to want to see you in them.” Julian reminds them.
“Oh yeah, let’s go. Samantha’s coming. We must hurry.” Lilly jumps out of her seat. They leave the cafe and find a fancy dress shop on the main drag of the fashion district.
Right as soon as they walk in, a woman hurries up to them and asks, “What can I do for you?”
Julian answers her, “I need a suit, and suitable dresses for the young ladies, my soon to be wife and her sister. We are getting married today.” The woman smiles and then hurries into the backroom.
After a few minutes, the woman returns, and she stands there pleased with herself. She claps her hands and several women come out with dresses galore in every shape and color, then a gentleman comes with a measuring tape for Julian. After he takes his sizes, he brings out several different suits for him to try on. Julian picks a couple and disappears in back. When he comes back out Kelly almost faints. He looks so handsome her heart stops for a beat. She points, “That one. It’s perfect.”
“Are you sure? I like this one the best too.” He looks at her and notices her blushing.
“Yes, I am sure. You look so handsome. My heart skipped a beat when you came out. I didn’t know if it was going to start again.” She smiles at him. After the girls pick out their dresses, the women bring out gowns for Kelly. She picks out a couple to try on but does not find anything she really likes. Julian looks at all the choices and finds a dress under all the rest.
He hands it to Kelly, “Here, try this on. I think this is the one.” When she comes out his mouth drops open. She looks so beautiful that he wants to take her in back and rip it back off again. Realizing he is gawking at her, he tells her, “That one. Definitely.”
Kelly changes and they pick out one for Samantha as they get all the outfits wrapped up to go. Julian settles the bill, and the women thank him repeatedly. It turns out that the bill was about two hundred thousand dollars. No wonder why they were happy with him. He drives them back to the hotel and Samantha is waiting for them in the girl’s suite. The girls scream and run up to her. They give her hugs and kisses as they tell her about the time they have been having in Paris.
Julian asks, “Samantha, are you going to be able to take time off of work for this?”
“It’s already taken care of. I just had to tell them that my sister was marrying you. They all asked for an autograph and then gave me a week off.”
“Perfect, I am so glad you could come. We picked you out a dress, I hope you like it.” Julian points to Kelly who hands her the dress. “Well, this is perfect timing. I just got a text from my lawyer; he is here, and I need to sign paperwork. I will be back in a few minutes. This won’t take long. I promise.” He turns to Kelly and gives her a soft kiss before he goes downstairs.
“Hi, sis.” She hugs Samantha. “Do you want a separate room while you’re here or do you want to be with the girls?” Kelly looks at her.
“No, I don’t need my own suite. I can sleep with Lilly. That is just so silly.”
“It really wouldn’t be a problem, if you did.” She hugs her again. Kelly grabs Samantha and she shows her the dresses. Julian comes back to the suite and calls to set up the time to go to the courthouse.
“We have an hour before we must be there. I am going to put my suit on. Why don’t you girls get your dresses on.” He walks into the bedroom with his suit in his hand.
Samantha waits to make sure Julian is gone. “Kelly, are you sure about this? Absolutely? I only ask because I thought for sure that you were going to marry Grayson. He heard what was going on when the limo driver came to pick me up. He seemed really upset when he found out that you are marrying Julian.” Samantha tells her.
“To tell you the truth, I was as surprised as anyone else. At first, I told him I needed time, but then I told him yes just a few minutes later. I guess this is how I really feel.” Kelly stares at the floor.
Samantha asks, “What do you mean, you guess? You had better know for sure.” She looks at Kelly concerned.
“I am. It is just all going so fast. I am a little bit caught off guard. I just want to get married and get it over with. Samantha, I love him.”
“I just want to make sure because you told me that you care for Grayson too. I need to make sure that you are making the right decision. This feels a little bit like Romeo and Juliet. We all know that it didn’t work out that well for them.”
“It’ll be alright, I’m making the right choice. I love him. The girls love him. He’s everything I want and need. More importantly I see myself with him happily ever after.” Kelly hugs Samantha.
