Daksh POV

I woke up due to sunrays falling directly on my face. I groaned and opened my eyes. My lips curved into a smile remembering last night. When I went inside her room through the balcony. My sweetheart thinks I'm a figment of her imagination.
It's been one week since I last saw her. I gave her the space and time to think and mourn because I was expecting that she will be back to her old self again after that. But she doesn't want to see anyone. She pushed us away; Even Ana, her best friend, she didn't want to see her either. My sister is very hurt by her behavior.
My wife has been blaming me for killing our baby. But, she knows deep in her heart, That I would never kill our baby. Soon she will realize that she was wrong on blaming me.
I sighed and went to washroom. After taking shower, I got myself dry and dressed, and went out into the bedroom area to dry my hair when my Mom came in my room with a cup of green tea.
For a past one week, I'm staying in my parent's house because Mom don't want me to be alone because I'll be sad.
"Baby boy, here drinks this" mom said and gave me the cup.
After having my cup of green tea, "Mom, last night I went to see your daughter in law" I informed her.
"What?? You went to see my doll? How is she? Is everything's fine with her?" Mom asked me worriedly.
"She's fine but I was expecting a positive change. But I guess, I expected too much. I don't know what else to do, to prove myself. She still hates me, Mom" I told her sadly.
"You know baby boy. The greatest enemy to relationship is blaming the other partner for the problem. All you do is prove your love. She will definitely come back to you once she feels your love for her true. For that to happen, you need to figure it out on your own. Don't give up on her easily because she never give up on you before." Mom said.
"I promise Mom. I won't give up. I will fight for 'us' til my last dying breath." I promised. She smiled at me.
Suddenly, I heard my phone rang. I answered the call.
"Hello"
"Ok,
"Thank you, Surya. Please follow her carefully." I said and ended the call.
"Who called?" Mom asked me.
"Divya's bodyguard, she went to the temple. I asked one of my men to follow her secretly and protect her all the time because I don't trust that Maya. My bodyguard has been updating me about Divya whereabouts" I told her.
"You did the good job even I don't trust that Maya. How can she so cruel to kill a little unborn children? I hope my kana ji will give punishment to her soon" Mom said angrily.
"We already filed a complaint against Maya for killing my baby, but police did not arrest her. They want proof. Our only proof is Rehka, but she is also missing." I said.
"Don't worry, Everything will be fine. Your Dad always told me, What we have done, comes back to us, either today or tomorrow or hundred years later or even hundred lives later, but it does come back. Those who pray for your downfall are concentrating negative thoughts towards you, without taking cognisance of the slippery ground in which they are standing, which could lead to their downfall. So definitely Maya will get her karma for killing my grand child" Mom said emotionally while crying.
"Don't cry, Mom" I said, wiped her tears away.
"Now go make her anger towards you melt. Show her how much you want to be with her. You already gave her the space she wanted so I think it's time for you to go and take her back" Mom said and smiled at me.
"Ok, Mom. I am going to the temple and talk to her." I said, kissed my Mom cheeks and hurriedly left the home.
I sat on the car, "Wait for me, Sweetheart. I am coming" I said and started driving towards Temple.
Divya POV

I woke up when I heard the door of my room opened and then Dad came in and sat on the edge of my bed.
"Good morning, Doll" Dad said.
"Good morning Dad" I said.
"Doll, do you feel like going out for a walk? It's been one week since you went outside. Please don't hold on to the past. You need diversity of thought in the world to face the new challenges. Here sign these divorce papers and enjoy your new life" Dad said and handed over me the divorce papers. I took the paper and read it. I was shocked. I felt like my heart broken into million pieces.
"You wouldn't understand how tough it is for me to say something like this to you. But please be strong. I can understand the pain you are in, but it's important......very important for your life. Sign these papers." Dad said. Tears formed before my eyes.
Some words echo inside my head not to sign the divorce papers. If I sign the papers, I will lose him forever. But If I take a close look at our relationship, we always end up in the same painful, unhealthy situations every time. It's better if I end this relationship.
Taking out a pen, Dad gave it to me. "Don't think too much or you won't be able to do it. Just sign it" Dad said.
I took the pen with trembling fingers before I sign the papers. My Mom photo frame fell off and landed on the floor. Glass shattered everywhere. Dad ran forward and bent to pick up the picture that lay among the shattered glasses.
"How this has happened?" Dad murmured.
'Maybe My mom doesn't want it to happen? Maybe she isn't happy about this divorce?' I thought myself.
"Dad, first I want to visit the temple then I will sign the papers" I said. Dad nods back in agreement and left my room along with my Mom broken pictures.
I signed and went into the bathroom and did my morning rituals. After prepping myself, I went downstairs and saw Dad sitting in the dinning table. We eat breakfast together. After finishing our breakfast, Dad dropped me to the temple and left to his office.
I walked and went inside the temple, "please advice what to do further as I do not want to leave him." I heard one girl asking to the old woman.
"Never believe anything until you hear about yourself, unless it is said to your face. Trust your love" I heard the old woman giving advice to that girl.
I sighed, went to the god and started to pray to show me the right path, "Fate brought us together, drove us apart I'm not so sure we're meant to be together. Today, as I have a decision to make, help me make it with thoughts, not only to benefit myself, but to benefit all around me. Please make everything's fine." I prayed and opened my eyes, but I could not have been prepared for the sight before my eyes.
Daskh standing in front of me. He was looking at me angrily, and I am shocked to see him in this temple at this time. He has been stalking me.
Idiot!
"Why were you stalking me?" I asked finally getting irritated seeing him.
"You and I are meant to be together so don't say again we are not meant to be together" he yelled me angrily. He was eavesdropping the conversation between me and god.
"After I came from London, we meet each other, liked each other, and fell in love at a great speeds. One day, we were obsessed with each other and the next. It felt as if we were strangers, so I don't think, we are not meant to be together" I said and started walking away from him.
"Maybe we are not meant to be together for today but meant to be in the future." He said walking behind me.
"Daksh, we travel in parallel, may be identical in nature and could be perfectly aligned, but are destined never to meet. Please leave me and I don't love you" I shouted while walking outside the temple.
"Don't say that, sweetheart. You still love me, and I can see it in your eyes." I stopped walking and stared at him.
"I used to love you but not anymore, Daksh" I said, pain crossed his face. He is trying to grab my hand, but I shove his hand away and walking once again.
"I won't let you go away from me....never!" he said and pulled me closer to him.
"Leave me, Daksh. What are you doing? You are holding me in public place. What other people think of us?" I yelled and try to struggle away, but his grip is so strong.
Suddenly, street people interfere in us asking me, "Beta, is this man harassing you? Can I complain about the police" Middle-aged women asked me concernedly while glaring at Daksh.
"Excuse me, old lady. I'm her husband" He said arrogantly and pulled me closer to him. I glared daggers at him.
"Beta, is he telling the truth? Are you really is his wife?" Another woman asked me.
People eyes were looking from me the answers. I want to say 'No, he is not my husband'. My lips parted to say the words, but something stopped me in midway.
"Yes, he's telling the truth. He is my husband!" I let out the words. Daksh smirked at the woman. The woman murmured, telling us not to drag domestic issues on the road and left from there.
I looked at Daksh and he was already staring on me lovingly, "You care me too much" He smiled and pinches my cheek. I swat his hand away and stepped back. My blood boiled seeing his smiling face.
"Die here, Daksh. I don't care." I said venomously. His eyes thudded in pain.
"If I die here, it does not matter to you? Ok, if my dying, here will make you happy, then let it be" he said, started walking and stands in the middle of the road.
"Are you mad? Standing in the middle of the road is very dangerous; you get knocked down by the traffic from both sides. Come here" I shouted at him. I heard a horn and saw a big truck approaching him.
"Daksh, come here. I beg you." I cried, but he doesn't budge. I saw the truck nearing him; I immediately rushed to him, pulls him aside while panting heavily.
"I don't care about you is what you told me. I know it isn't the truth. You care about me a lot, and I have full trust that you will save me even before death tries to touch me." Daksh smiled.
I slapped him in the face hard, "If you think you will convince and win my heart with his silly gestures. Then let me tell you Mr. Daksh Mehra, I'm not at all impressed. You broke my trust and my belief towards you." I explode like a volcano.
"Shh, I'm sorry, please don't cry, Sweetheart" He said and hugged me.
"You're the reason for my tears. You're the reason for my hurt. I already lost my baby. I don't want my husband to die infront of me, but at the same time I don't want to live with you. The doors of my heart are closed for you forever." I said and pushed him.
"Doll, please, listen to me and trust me once" He pleaded, and I know he was crying inside heavily.
"Did you trust me when I said I would never cheat on you, No na? Then why should I trust you and listen to you? When we are married, you made it very clear you didn't want a relationship with me. When we were together. Physically, emotionally, and verbally, you gave me an immense pain. You don't even fully trust me. You asked me to prove myself to you. After I proved myself innocent. I thought. You accepted me, but I was wrong. You never accept me as your wife. You just wanted revenge from me, and you killed my baby. I will never forgive you. I hate you, and I don't want you in my life" I said all in one breath. His eyes were red and tears flowing in his eyes.
"Sweetheart, I swear I didn't kill our baby. I will die without you" He pleaded, held my hands tightly.
"WE'RE OVER" I pulled my hands from him and moved away from that place.
"Taxi!" I called out loud enough for the driver to hear me. I sat inside the car and told my address to the driver. Car started moving I saw from the car rear mirror.
Daksh was still standing there with the same painful expression. I closed my eyes and exhaled a deep breath. Finally, I decided I was going to sign the divorce papers.
Today I understand one thing, 'Trust is not something that can be easily gained, but it can be really easy be lost'.
