Akash driving the car. Daksh seemed to be extremely silent. The rest of our journey to home was in silence. I suddenly couldn't come up with anything to say or to console my son.
As soon as we got home, he quickly got out of the car even before me then he walked past me into the mansion. He headed straight to his room, and I was looking at him worried. I wiped a tear that rolled down the corner of my eyes with my palm as I sniffed.
Suddenly, I heard the noise of breaking the things. It is coming from my Daksh room. I walk to the door hastily I stood outside the door trying to catch my breath. Then I started knocking on the door.
"Baby boy, please open the door!!" I said still knocking. I stood there knocking on the door. I waited five minutes and ten minutes, but he never opened the door.
"Daksh open the door. Please share all your problems with us, so we could find a solution together instead of always shutting us out" Akash said.
"Bro, please open the door. I swear, if you don't open I will not talk to you anymore" Ana blackmailed him.
After 2 minutes, we heard the door opened, Daksh was standing quietly with no expression on his face, but his eyes are blood shot red and traces of dried tears. We walked inside the room. The whole room was a total mess with all the things shattered everywhere. What I saw next shocked me, Daksh hand is bleeding.
"Why? Why did you lock yourself? You know how worried I was." Ana asked him.
"Daksh your hand is bleeding. Ana get the first box" I said and Ana too freaked out and running to get the first aid box. I dragged my son to the bed. I made him sit on the bed, and I sat beside him and started inspecting his hand. Blood was dripping from his hand on the floor. I worriedly looked at my son, but he was looking so lost. I felt hurt seeing him like this.
"Give me your hand." He lifted his hand up, and I cleaned the blood off, being careful not to hurt his cuts. I opened the bandages without hurting him or making him feel the pain and wrapped around his hands.
"Promise me baby boy. You will not hurt yourself" I asked him while crying.
"Mom, I failed the duty as a husband and father." He whispered brokenly.
"No, you have not failed. We trust you. Please don't blame yourself" I consoled him.
"Why is this happening now? Just when I thought, everything was becoming okay between Divya and I. But someone had to ruin it. What do I do to make her understand that I didn't kill our baby? Why doesn't she trust me? I don't know what to do, Mom" my baby boy whispered brokenly.
"Daksh, please tell me, how all this happened? I sent Maya to the jail, how she came out? Why didn't you tell me earlier? You will have to answer me today" Akash asked him sternly.
"One week before, Sanjay (Maya brother) came to meet me at the office. He is very angry at me for sending his sister to the jail. He threatened me, if I did not withdraw the case, he will ruin our business. But I strictly told him, I would not withdraw the case. Then, he promises that he will get her out of the jail very soon. Then he left angrily out of the office.
Next day, I went to the office and find out the contract papers were misplaced. Sanjay stole Mr. Smith contact papers from our office. I immediately dialed sanjay number, but I got shocked when Maya answered the phone.
Maya threatened me, if I want the contract papers. I have to divorce Divya. First, I refuse it. Then, my PA Rahul gave me some idea to accept her offer. I agreed Maya's demand. I arranged fake divorce paper and went to meet her in the restaurant. I produce fake divorce paper infront of her. Maya took it happily and gave the contract papers back to me. I left the restaurant and went back to the office.
After 1 hour, Maya called me, and She angrily yelled me, that it was a fake divorce paper. She said, today she will ruin my life. First, I didn't understand the meaning behind her words. Now I understand. She's ruined my life and; to an extent, the lives of my child no more exist in the world.
But I don't know, how Maya made up the plan to kill my child. I prepared the apple juice from my own hands. I made Divya drink the juice forcefully. Divya is right. I killed my baby. I murdered my own little precious baby" Daksh said and started hitting the wall harshly. I gasped.
"Daksh, stop it" Akash held him strongly and hugged him.
"Dad, what step should I take next? What step?" He whispered brokenly.
"First we have to find out who add the abortion pills in her apple juices" Ana said.
"Yes, my princess is right" Akash said while thinking deeply.
"Today, I felt a nagging, clenching feeling inside my chest, so I went to your house to meet Divya. When I arrived in your home, there is no one in your home. Wait! I forgot to ask you, why did you locked up Divya alone in your room?" I asked him. He looked at me with shocked expression.
"I don't understand. What are you saying, Mom? I didn't lock her in the room." He frowned.
"Then, why is the room locked? Where Geetha went leaving Divya alone in the home?" I asked him.
"Geetha aunty had a viral fever, so I told her to take off from the work. But I appointed new maid today. Her name is Rekha. Wait! Wait I completely forgot about her. She's not in the home that means she locked Divya in the room. I guess, without my notice Rekha mixed the abortion pills in the apple juice. Oh God! "Daksh said, realization dawned on him.
Suddenly, his cell phone rang. He answered the call, "Hello"
"You didn't send anyone to my home? Why didn't you inform me before?" Daksh yelled.
"Now I don't need your help" he said and hung up the phone angrily.
"That bit*h" he roared while throwing the phone in the wall angrily.
"What happened, Bro?" Ana asked him.
"House maid agency didn't send anyone today. My guess is right. Rekha is the one who mixed the pills in the juice, and I'm sure this all Maya's pre planned. I'm going to kill her" Daksh yelled angrily and started walking toward the door, but I immediately held his hand.
"Stop it Daksh. It's only worse if you kill Maya. If my prayer is true. God will definitely punish Maya for her sin" I tried to control his anger.
"No mom. Please don't stop me. That bit*h killed my child. My wife left me. How can I simply sit here waiting for your god will give punishment to her?" He asked me angrily.
"Baby boy, I understand your feelings and anger but Divya needs you. You're the only one who can heal her hurt. Just think about her, she lost her baby. I know she misunderstands you, like you thought she cheated on you with karthik but she proved her innocence to you. Now it's your turn to prove yourself innocent. I know it's not easy. But keep trying and get my daughter in law back to our home" I explained him calmly.
"You're right mom. My wife needs me, and I have to heal her. I will get your daughter in law back in our home " he said with determination.
"That's my champ" Akash said and patted his shoulder.
"But Bro just gave her some time. Don't push her." Ana said. Daksh nodded his head tiredly.
"Baby boy, you need to sleep. You look so tried" I told him while concernedly.
"Mom, can I sleep in your lap" he asked while crying.
"Come here, baby boy" I said emotionally, and he laid down with his head resting in my lap. I ran my fingers through his hair as I did all I could to help him relax and make him sleep. Ana started cleaning the room. Akash sat beside me, and I laid my head on his shoulders.
"Everything will be alright, Angel" he whispered and kissed my forehead.
'I hope so, Akash', I thought inwardly.
