Keenan's POV
"We should go," Taylor's voice cuts our discussion short and we both turn to her, but her eyes remains on me, and I can tell she's getting bored out with watching me and Rory exchange greeting, "if we want to have lunch before picking Reign up from school."
Rory brow furrows as he gets a little lost in her words and like always his curiosity gets the best of him and he immediately asks. "Who's Reign?"
Taylor's eyes leave mine and move to him with a neutral expression and she replies. "She's our daughter."
The blood on Rory's face vanishes and he stares at both of us in utmost surprise and even though my conscience is screaming to not partake in this outrageous act, there is nothing I can do about it now.
Taylor is in the right place of telling Rory the truth about their child not. She should be the one to let him know that Reign is his daughter not mine, but I doubt that she will want to do that.
He gets himself together and smiles, but it comes out wry and I know he is hurt and even though he tries to mask it up, he can only hide so much.
"Wow," his breath is shaky and sharp and his eyes wary as they dart between us. "that's great, I'm lost for words to say." his eyes land on me staring at me closely as though wanting me to give up the lie, which he thinks is what we are doing and when it doesn't, his eye widen in surprise, "Wow! What can I say? Congratulations man." he stretches his hand forward for a shake.
"Thank you, Rory," I answer, taking his hand into mine for a shake and my breath cut at how cold his hand is.
This man is struggling to keep himself from crashing down before us and I think that I'm not the only one who has been unable to move on after four years. I couldn't move on the same way Taylor couldn't move on and Rory sure as hell haven't either.
We let go and he scratches his head, "So how old is she?"
"She turned three a few months ago," I answer and it doesn't do him good, if anything, he looks almost miserable all over again.
He must be doing a mental calculation of the years and the correlation to the time he was with Taylor, but with the rumours that flew then and the fact that Taylor and I are still physically together, I doubt he would even consider Reign as his.
He smiles even when I can see him crumbling. "Well congratulations again to both of you and you Keenan are a lucky man." he pats my shoulder, before walking away from us.

Taylor takes my hand and leads me out of the company's building and into her car and the driver tells me where we are heading because I am too far gone with my thoughts to even say anything.
Rory voice and words echo in my ears as we make our way to the restaurant directed by Taylor.
'You're a lucky man, Keenan' he called me lucky, but am I really lucky? I think not, not while I am still not sure about where I stand with Taylor. I know Reign always makes me feel like the luckiest person on earth, but that's only Reign. Thinking of how Taylor had openly kissed me and display her feelings for me made me feel like the luckiest man on the face of the earth. I know I will never be able to live a life without her, a life she isn't involved in because my happiness is with her and I will give anything to always have her behold me with so much affection.
Another part of me thinks she only did what she did to make Rory jealous and like always I feel used, but those emotions couldn't have been fake. I saw her and they were real smile and excited though or maybe I need to talk with Ms Klean, whom I've rekindled my lost friendship with after four years of being away from the company. She will honestly tell me what it all means and if she thinks I'm overthinking.
She's very good at keeping my focus.
"You're not listening, Keenan, you?" Taylor asks with a slightly cold tone.
I snap out of my thought and glance at Taylor whose brows are furrowed in annoyance and I sigh, what did she say.
"Sorry, what were you saying?"
"I asked how was your day went at work?" she asks again, her eyes softening and she draws closer to me.
"It was great and I miss everything, four years can be such a long time," I tell her honestly, remembering how everyone was excited to see me yesterday. "But some things and people never change though," I continue, remembering my encounter with little Ms Klean yesterday. A lot of things has changed, but Ms Klean, still is the nervous and frustrated lady she was with me four years ago and it was hilarious.
"I'm really glad to hear that, Keenan." she places her hand on mine in comfort.
There is something I wanted to ask her, something I kept debating while I was on my way to meet her, there is nothing I'd want more than to be with her and I know that now. I lean over and kiss her on the lips and she kisses back, and I move on her to slowly take over the control and in a short moment, we are both moaning and gasping for air. "Taylor," I call out in a moan and pull back.
I watch her full lips part as she fights to take more air into her lungs and I desperately just want to take control and dominate her and have her do crazy things to me with her pretty mouth.
Pull yourself together, Keenan, you still have something to say.
"Taylor, I love you," I declared, still not tired of saying the words.
"Keenan-" she begins to say, her hand touching my face, sparking up feelings I deeply want to express, but Alfred the driver's voice cut her off.
"We are here."
