I woke up hoping it was a bad dream but as memories of what happened yesterday came rushing back to my mind and fresh tears moved on there on accord as I began to cry again.
The fact that I was not going to see my mum anymore was already making me feel bad, because she was the only one he was there to teach me how to use my powers and the gods knows... That she was my everything in this world.
I choked on my words as I attempted to pacify myself but it wasn't working.
I heard the knock on the door which startled me looking up frantically I stared intensely at the door wishing I could see thorough it and tell who was behind the door.
But sadly, I couldn't and after concluding on my next move... I heard the knocked again as a small fragile voice came out.
"Hey temi, it's me your sister. I'm Scared... dad's drinking again and only the Gods know what is gonna do next." My little sister says from my door and my heart beats instantly.
At the sound of that!
I Rushed Out of bed to open the door For her letting her in before rushing to lock the door behind me.
She looked at me With sad eyes that we are now glowing and a tear stained Cheek and I gave her a sad smile.
Then I pulled her in for a bear hug.
She began to cry again on my shoulder giving out small sobs.
in-between her sobs, a tear slid of my cheeks as I try to pacify and convince my sister because the last thing I wanted her to think about what's the sad reason why our mother died all the greater pain that we had beastly father.
"Don't worry Mona it will be okay." I tried to calm her nerves down because her powers reacts when she is sad.
In between her sobs she responded.
"No it's not... Dad's gonna get us killed at this rate." She says to me in return.
"No he is not crystal he'd..." I applied her just for the voice of my dadvto interrupt my statement as he Loud voice echo through the house.
"Temi! Where are you you spoilt brat!" He screams and I held my sister tight to myself as fear surged through my body.
To say I was scared was an understatement.
I could also see it in my sister's eyes.
I tried to reassure her that everything was fine but then I was horribly wrong.
I pried my self off my sister as I went to attend to my father downstairs.
Descending the stairs I prayed silently that I survived this because only the gods knows what my father has planned ahead for me.
I was ready to use my powers to protect myself if I had to.
"There you Are child... Come! There is someone I like you too meet." He says to me as though he had calmed down.
He walked me from the stair Way's to the living room where I meet a woman who looks to be in her early twenties.
She Was smiling seductively at my dad and I almost baffled but I kept my composure.
I monitored their movement as my father left my side to place a lingering kiss on her cheeks.
He finally cleared his throat as he Said.
"Temi, I need you to listen and listen carefully. You Will Respect this Young woman In front of you just like you would respect your mother." He says to me and my heart beats in shock.
And then he continues.
"Because... Like it or not, she is replacing that good for nothing witch!...That sorry excuse of a woman who refused to give me a male child!" He says arrogantly to me.
It stinks.
it hurts and I was heart broken.
How could he?
Or why would he say that?
We just lost our mother yesterday and this is how he chose to murn her?
I was really hurt and I couldn't bottle it all up. I yelled and I didn't know when I did as this words Tumbled out of my mouth with my powers threatening to explode out of my body.
"Shut up father!"
"How could you?"
"How on earth could you choose to do this to mum?"
"To your own wife!" I yelled out.
"She died yesterday and this is how you choose to mourn her??"
My last statement earned me a hot slap across my face which sent me flying.
My father was about to descend on me when Mona came rushing in blocking his Part as she pulled me close to her chest and she sobbed out.
"Daddy.. please stop!" She begs.
"You Are hurting Her." She cries.
This was my life... My father beating me up for the littles things even when I was absolutely innocent.
I'd still Get a beat down.
My sister will eventually come to my rescue and the other time I'd be the one rescuing Her.
It wasn't always like this, we once had our happy ever after.
But all that ended when we were deported from south america because my dad tried some funny business he never told about us with some wolfs.
I was ten and my sister was six.
We've spent seven years with hash parenting especially from my father.
And I don't think he is stopping anytime soon. the thought of him discarding Mom just like that even though she died, he didn't make effort to ease our pain.
We are just suffering and it's continuing and that made my blood boil and resulted to me saying my next word while still in the ground with my sister close to me.
"Do Your worst! You don't deserve to be called father." I said to him in return.
"What did you say child?" He asked provoked in his words.
"Do your worst! You don't deserve to be called father!" I said to him.
And that was all it took for him rush towards me as he transformed.
He was a rogue after all.
But then, theirs still magic in me.
And this magic, has just stormed out.
