"The report is saying that all the documents are original and signature was verified Stefan's handwriting."
Sarah read the papers aloud in a hoarse voice, making everybody gasp and Stefan confused.
"What papers?"
Stefan was glaring at Betty, whose face glimmer with a triumphant smile as Sarah read the papers aloud, but he turned towards Sarah and asked.
Sarah was already on the verge of a breakdown, she somehow consoled herself and forward the reports to Stefan, but didn't say anything.
"What is that?"
Stefan took the paper but didn't glance at it.
"This woman, Betty James, is claiming herself your wife, and she has all proof with her."
Everybody was feeling sorry for Sarah, in a blink of an eye, her happy married life shattered they can understand her inner turmoil that's why Amy came to rescue her and answered Stefan's question.
"What, what nonsense is this Betty, when did I get married to you?"
Stefan's face darkens, he turned towards Betty and said in an angered tone with fierce red eyes.
Recently he realized his feeling for Sarah, finally decided to move on from Valerie, how could he let anybody just enter his life and snatch his love from him once again.
"Stefan, I know you are new wife is exquisite and I also know that you had to get married to her because your family pressurized you, but it doesn't mean you turn your face from me, our child, and from our relation."
"Stop talking ridiculous Betty, I never get married to you and I even don't know how did you arrange these false documents."
"How could say our marriage certificate a false document and what about our child's birth certificate, do you want to deny everything?"
"Of course, it's not my child, why will I accept that?"
"Now you will say that we never met in New York?"
"Of course, we met in New York, I regard you as mine and Valerie's old friend but nothing else."
"Do you want to say, we have never spent nights together, after that when you came to know about me being pregnant with your child, you didn't propose to me."
"The whole thing you are saying is just a lie, we just met in New York few times, that's it."
Everybody was listening to a heated argument between Stefan and Betty with trembling hearts, they are disdainful of Betty and sorry for Sarah, but nobody could get what is right and what is wrong.
Betty is arguing with confidence and Stefan is losing his patience with each passing minute.
"Stefan, why are you getting upset, did I disclose your secret ahead of time? Do you need some more time to deal with this? But what to do I was concern about our baby and our future, I felt like you are going far from me that's why I had to look for you."
Betty said shamelessly, and Stefan clenched his fist.
"Betty shut the fuck up and get the hell out of my house."
Stefan roared like an angry lion, making the entire meeting room jolted, but Betty was still calm.
"Stefan, don't get so hyper, I got it my untimely arrival spoiled all your plans, but now when I am here we can't hide our relationship anymore, let's accept it in front of your family."
Sarah shook her head inwardly, although she is heartbroken from all the events still she can distinguish reality from fake.
"If you are done with fake accusation, you can leave because no matter what evidence you have until Stefan will accept you are not her wife."
Sarah said with disdain, but Betty was still calm and confident.
"Miss Sarah Smith, the evidence I have is mine and Stefan's marriage certificate which proves that I got married to him before you that's why I am his legal wedded wife, so you are an outsider and stay out of it and Stefan I have several other ways to prove you as my husband, would you mind talk to me in alone."
Sarah pursed her lips; Betty is logically right, even though she is ethically wrong. Sarah has to wait for her turn.
"Why do you want to talk in private, if you have anything to prove yourself right, say it here." Amy retorted harshly.
"Mother-in-law, there are several things between husband and wife which could not be disclosed in front of others, how could I do that?"
Betty said with a fake shyness and red face making others believe that she is embarrassed.
"Stefan goes and talks to her in my study room."
Jack offered solemnly and Stefan nodded.
Stefan and behind him Betty with a proud face walked after giving an evil smirk to Sarah.
Although Betty has already created so much ruckus in Walter's mansion and upset everybody, Sarah is still calm and confident, even with a trembling heart that her belief in Stefan is not wrong. If Stefan is saying he never got married to Betty, then he is not lying. What's more, there are so many more secrets between Stefan and her which proves Sarah knew Stefan more than anybody.
After sometimes Stefan and Betty came back to the meeting room, Betty still has a triumphant smile on her face and Stefan's eyelashes were crouched, preventing him to make eye contact with anybody.
"What's wrong, Stefan?"
As usual, Amy asked first being anxious because Stefan's facial expression is making her heart tremble like an autumn leaf.
"Dad, big uncle, I am sorry to hide this from you all, but Betty is my wife."
Slap.
Amy Slapped Stefan making everybody stunned.
"How could you do that; how could you cheat on Sarah?"
"Excuse me....."
"Shut up, I am not talking to you, so don't meddle between mother and son."
Amy shows her hand to Betty but looking towards Stefan who was avoiding eye contact.
"Stefan you once again disappointed us on you, I promised Sarah's mother that I won't let her face any problem, but your wrong decision made me lose my face in front of Smith's family," Andrew said in a breaking voice.
"I spoke to Betty; she has no problem if Sarah will live with us until she gets a good guy to move on."
Stefan lifts his face and spoke while looking at Sarah and walked out from there without waiting for anybody's answer.
Gradually everybody disperses towards their respective directions.
Even Sarah was walking in a daze towards her room, but once again she was stopped by Betty in front of her room door who blocked her way.
"Now, this is my room, your room is there. A guest room for the guest."
Betty said with the same style as last evening while pointing towards the direction using her slender fingers. Sarah didn't say anything, just looked at her.
"Butler."
Betty called a servant.
"Yes, Madam."
A servant immediately appeared.
"Can you please help me shift my stuff from the guest room to my original room and Miss Smith's stuff from my room to the guest room?"
