A countdown timer popped up in front of Orson, giving him one minute to accept the incoming challenges.
"If I remember correctly, there are nine Watcher Cities, which means there should be nine Grey Watchers issuing challenges," Orson said calmly, as if the world wasn’t collapsing around him.
Among the nine pseudo-gods, he didn’t see the Sea God.
Could it be that the Sea God was too kind to participate? Clearly impossible.
Destroying the Infinite Dimensions’ golden pillars, violating cosmic laws—anyone involved in killing Orgod would be earning immense merit.
Xinala exchanged a glance with the other god-engineered beings, each of their faces filled with amusement. "Survival of the fittest," she said with a smirk. "The strong rule the weak."
Orson narrowed his eyes. "So even Divine Weapons fight amongst themselves. So much for ’fighting for the greater good.’"
"The Sea God followed the Goddess of Aurora’s decree," Snow Dream said with a bright, radiant smile. "He sacrificed himself... for me."
Her beauty shimmered like a goddess, but to Usher—reduced to a spectator—that smile radiated pure, bone-chilling malice.
Orson let out a cold laugh.
A being who had lived for eons, willingly sacrificing himself out of "faith"? Ridiculous.
If these so-called gods truly believed in anything higher, they would never have betrayed Radiant Shuttle or turned their backs on BlazeKing.
"You know very little about the Awakening Battlefield, Master," Snow Dream said softly.
"Oh?" Orson raised an eyebrow. "Then by all means, enlighten me."
"This place has many hidden mechanics. For example—if a Divine Weapon falls here, all of their merit points transfer to the one who defeats them."
She paused, then continued. "The Lost World is not only an Awakening Battlefield, but also the official dueling ground for engineered gods. The Sea God... he was the weakest of the nine. He had no choice."
It was clear she wanted to flaunt her superior understanding of Infinite Dimensions in front of her former master.
Just like Orson had once lectured her, now she was returning the favor.
"I’ve surpassed you, Master."
"I don’t accept that title anymore," Orson said with a stiff smile.
Snow Dream wasn’t offended. "But you can’t deny the truth, can you?"
"That truth is a mistake," Orson said, his voice darkening. "And I’m here to fix it."
The countdown continued to tick.
Snow Dream’s smile faltered slightly, her tone softening. "You can’t win. Trust me. It’s already over."
But Orson’s resolve was like iron. When he committed to a fight, no words could shake him.
Then suddenly, Usher’s voice broke through. He sounded like he had remembered something.
"You have three chances to refuse challenges. Use them wisely. Exclude Seraph Xinala and the Demon King Sakan—they were once God-tier adventurers. They’re far more powerful than the rest!"
He paused, then added, "And the Wood Spirit King. His control and healing abilities are ridiculous!"
"My child, why are you helping the enemy?" Sakan’s demonic eyes locked onto Usher. "He’s your mortal enemy, isn’t he?"
Dark fire roared around him. He raised a clawed hand and clenched it tightly.
Usher gasped, clutching his chest in pain.
A phantom of his soul appeared behind him, shrieking in agony.
Usher dropped to his knees, eyes bloodshot. He struggled to rise, teeth clenched. "You... can’t control me!"
Sakan laughed, his voice deep and cruel. "That spine of yours is why I favor you so much, my child. My prince."
With a wave of his hand, Usher was flung into the nearby mountainside, his body buried deep within the stone, unable to move.
After slaying the previous Demon Prince, Usher had been lured and blessed by Sakan.
It was a gift—and a shackle. His life was no longer his own.
"Stop struggling," Orson said, not even turning back. "These freaks have lived for thousands of years. Crushing a Domain Master like you is nothing."
"Listen to me... You can’t die," Usher groaned weakly. "The fused world... it needs you."
Orson’s tone remained indifferent. "No. You need me."
"You need to see that a human can stand shoulder to shoulder with gods. If I die here, your hope dies with me."
That cut deeper than any blade. Usher let out a bitter laugh.
In front of these false gods, he couldn’t even lift his head.
Yes, he needed Orson.
He needed that hope. Needed to believe that someone—anyone—could win.
"Watch closely, Usher. I’ll only show this once," Orson said, eyes flashing with battle intent. "And when you gain that belief—look beyond Earth."

The Storm God sneered, "You’ll be crushed. That spark of yours is about to be extinguished."
But Orson burst out laughing.
He lifted the Supreme Arcane Blade and pointed at every single god-engineered freak that had conspired to kill him.
"You’re wrong," he shouted. "You’re the challengers."
"It’s a shame the Sea God didn’t come. I thought I might be able to wipe out all the Era of Immortals traitors in one go."
Silence swept through the battlefield.
A mortal had just declared war on the gods.
"Does he even understand what he’s doing..."
In his eyes, not using his refusals to weaken his opponents was absurd. Madness.
But Orson saw what he couldn’t.
From Snow Dream’s perspective, forcing the Divine Weapons to attack was a guaranteed checkmate.
