Shen Qingyue waited at the Civil Affairs Bureau for the whole morning, but Qin Zhen was nowhere to be seen. She did not have Qin Zhen’s phone number, so she went straight to the Qin Corporation.
She passed the security check on the first floor, but was stopped at the door of the president’s office by Qin Zhen’s special assistant, Zhu Quan.
“Madam, Mr. Qin is in a meeting. Please refrain from disturbing him,” Zhu Quan said.
He had been following Qin Zhen closely and was well aware of the situation between Shen Qingyue and Qin Zhen. Ever since their marriage, this madam would often come to the company to find Mr. Qin, always for trivial matters. Although she was the daughter of the Shen family, Zhu Quan did not hold her in high regard.
onto Mr. Qin for marriage. If it weren’t for her attractive appearance and privileged background, she would be no different from the other women in his life.
Shen Qingyue smirked provocatively and challenged, “What if I insist on disturbing him?”
Previously, her heart and eyes were filled with Qin Zhen, and naturally, she was flattering toward his trusted aide. But now that she had let go and regained clarity of mind, she could see the contempt in Zhu Quan’s tone. She did not blame him for looking down on her since even she herself looked down on her past self.
However, she still felt disgusted by such people. As Qin Zhen’s capable subordinate, how could she not know why she and Qin Zhen got married? To put it bluntly, they were all the same scum.
Zhu Quan frowned. “Madam, if you continue to pester me, I can only ask someone to escort you out.”
Qin Zhen had always disliked Shen Qingyue. The previous times she caused a scene, Zhu Quan had security ‘escort’ her out. Qin Zhen did not reprimand him after finding out; it was more like tacit approval.
“What an awe-inspiring sight.” Shen Qingyue suddenly gave a strange smile and approached him, whispering,”If Qin Zhen knew that you slept with his secretary, do you think he would still keep you?”
Zhu Quan’s face changed dramatically. “How do you know?”
During the time his wife was pregnant, he could not resist getting involved with a female secretary from the Secretariat Department. Office romances were strictly forbidden in the company, let alone his unsavory affair with the secretary. They had been careful for several years, and no one knew about it. How did this brainless Young Madam find out?
Shen Qingyue took two steps back, “Guess.”
“You!” Zhu Quan gritted his teeth.
A coldness flashed in Shen Qingyue’s eyes. “Let me in, or do you want everyone in the company to know about your affair with the secretary? It’s your choice.”
Zhu Quan broke his teeth and swallowed it, letting Shen Qingyue in.
Before entering the door, Shen Qingyue ‘kindly’ reminded him, “Oh right, remember to tell your wife the truth. Otherwise, I’ll tell her myself.”
Regardless of whether that woman chose to leave or stay, she should at least have the right to know.
“Got it.” Zhu Quan gritted his teeth.
Shen Qingyue could not be bothered with him. She pushed open the door of the president’s office and went in.
Qin Zhen did not hear the commotion outside and thought that Zhu Quan had entered. He looked up from the documents and saw Shen Qingyue. His expression darkened. “How did you get in?”
“I walked in through the door,” Shen Qingyue lazily leaned against the armrest of the sofa and directly stated her purpose. “I waited for you at the Civil Affairs Bureau the whole morning! Mr. Qin’s time is precious, and I’m not idle either.”
Upon hearing this, Qin Zhen seemed surprised. He didn’t believe she actually went to the Civil Affairs Bureau. Divorce was just her way of getting his attention. However, this time, her acting skills had improved. It seemed like she genuinely wanted a divorce. A trace of annoyance inexplicably welled up within him. He thought it was because this woman had once again managed to provoke him.
His voice turned cold and distant. “Is there anyone busier than you? What have you been busy with? Planning another unreasonable tantrum?”
Shen Qingyue burst into laughter. She realized that after letting go, even looking at Qin Zhen again made her feel blind. “I’m causing an unreasonable tantrum? It’s you who’s preoccupied with another woman and playing emotional games with me. Now you’re turning the tables, Mr. Qin, truly distorting right and wrong.”
Qin Zhen’s face turned dark.
Seeing the typically arrogant Qin Zhen at a loss for words, Shen Qingyue could not find any joy in it. After all, she was once so proud, facing the wall head-on, but ended up broken and humiliated. She had truly lost all face and substance.
Shen Qingyue did not want to waste any more words. “The Civil Affairs Bureau opens at one o’clock. Hurry up and go. It’ll be crowded if you’re late.”
Qin Zhen didn’t move, his expression grim. “I don’t have time to waste with you!”
If it were in the past, Shen Qingyue would have obediently acted like a bird in front of Qin Zhen, afraid of his anger. But now, was she afraid of anything?
“Mr. Qin, have you thought it through? If you waste a few hours now, you’ll never have to waste any more time on me for the rest of your life.”
