Evelyn's morning was greeted with rain, it seemed, the rainy season had started. Luckily today is a Sunday so Evelyn is off work. She decided to shop monthly at the supermarket on the 1st floor of Malvin's apartment.
Accompanied by Malvin, she did groceries for the next month.
"What do you want to cook today?" Asked Malvin.
"What do you want to be asked about?"
"I want meat soup."
"Okay, Boss." Evelyn smiled as she raised her hand. Malvin stroked his hair anxiously.
The two of them continued shopping, buying the necessary drinks and seasonings.
Afterward, they cooked together in Malvin's kitchen.
In between their cooking activities, someone came. Even though it was raining. Malvin and Evelyn looked at each other when someone pressed the button beside the door of her apartment.
"Let me open up," Malvin said walking toward the door.
Evelyn just nodded and saw Malvin's back approaching the door as she continued his cooking activities.
"Daddy?" Heard Malvin's voice calling his father, suddenly Evelyn's hand stopped and looked at the door.
Mr. Gerald entered past Malvin who was still standing in the doorway. But he stopped when he saw Evelyn cooking in her son's kitchen.
Evelyn could see her ex-boss's expression was shocked, however, the next second, he continued walking toward Evelyn. Wearing casual clothes, the middle-aged man still looked handsome and fit.
"Are you cooking?" He asked. He is friendly and calm as usual.
"Yes, sir, what a coincidence you arrive on time, we can have breakfast together. The food is cooked." Evelyn prepared the equipment for them.
Malvin and his father were now sitting at the dinner table waiting for Evelyn. Evelyn was nervous, she felt her heart beat faster. It felt like auditioning for a master chef and waiting for a jury assessment.
'Hahaha' Evelyn thought laughing, she thought she was feeling too much, however, the truth was that she was controlling her feelings and trying to neutralize her heartbeat.
Evelyn had already prepared rice and soup on the dining table, and the three of them ate in silence. A few minutes later, Evelyn glanced at Malvin's father who had finished eating. After sipping the water next to him, he interlocked his fingers and placed them on the table.
Malvin did the same, he drank the mineral water next to him and rubbed his lips with a tissue.
"Eheem ... Daddy come here early in the morning?" Malvin cleared his throat to break the seemingly tense atmosphere.
"Daddy wants to ask your help."
"What help, Daddy?"
"I want you to replace me temporarily, go to Canada to meet my friends."
"Why don't you go alone?"
"Recently my health has been disturbed, the doctor advised me to rest and not travel far."
"But, I'm on a big project, Dad, I can't leave my job."
"I'm sure, Eve can help you, right, Ve?" Mr. Gerald asked Evelyn.

"Just a moment, Malvin, I already promised my friend." Mr. Gerald said.

"All right, I'll be going. When do I have to go, Daddy?" Inevitably, in the end, Malvin had to agree to his father's request.
"Tomorrow morning, flight 9 o'clock."
"How many days was I there?"
"Only one week."
"Okay, Dad, I'll be ready tonight."
"All right, I'll go home first. Evelyn, thanks for the breakfast, your cooking was amazing," said Malvin's father as he left the dining table.
"You're welcome, Mr. Gerald. Thank you for tasting my cooking."
Malvin walked his father out of the apartment and then locked the door again. Meanwhile, Evelyn cleared the dining table and washed the dishes they had eaten.

Evelyn, who had finished washing the dishes, glanced at him.
"Do you want to go somewhere today?" Asked Malvin.
Evelyn released Malvin's hug. "No, I just want to be home with you."
"Tomorrow I'm going to Canada, I'll leave all work matters to you, but, don't be too tired, I'll call you often later."
Evelyn nodded, now, they are sitting in the TV room, they both plan to spend time together just at home, before letting go to create the longing that will come.

After breakfast, Malvin dragged his suitcase out of the room, last night, he helped Evelyn pack her clothes. Now, Malvin is ready to go to the airport.
"I'll be escorted by a driver, you want to go to the office together?" Asked Malvin
"No, we are going in different directions, Malvin, I'm leaving by taxi, be careful on the road, don't forget to keep me informed."
"You watch out too, I'll miss you, Honey." Malvin embraced Evelyn's body.

Arriving at the office, Evelyn chose to keep herself busy, not only because she had a lot of work to do, she didn't want to miss her boyfriend too much.

"I just arrived and finished taking a shower, do you miss me?" Asked Malvin.
"I feel lonely," Evelyn said.
Malvin chuckled. "Did you sleep well? Why does your voice sound so weak?"
"A little."
Malvin frowned. "Don't be too tired, Eve, I'll finish my assignment and hurry home."
During Malvin's absence, Evelyn worked hard not to think too much about the man she loved, but it made her tired and restless.
The fifth day without Malvin, finally made Evelyn really have to lie helpless, her body was shivering with cold but her body temperature was very high.
All because she was too busy himself and often ate late. I do not know, Malvin really became addicted to him.
