Counterfeits?
Everyone was stunned for a moment. They looked at Ye Lingchen carefully.
Ye Lingchen was dressed purely in Vatti that day. He wore a sky-blue suit, complete with a crisp white dress shirt and well-polished black leather shoes. Paired with his aura, it was certain to make other people’s eyes light up in amazement.
Vatti was a well-known domestic luxury brand and a popular one at that, so it was only natural that there were fakes everywhere.
Despite that, the material of Ye Lingchen’s clothes looked rather exquisite and did not appear to be counterfeit at all.
“Young Master Wu is the Jiangnan Tannery’s youngest son. Jiangnan Tannery is Vatti’s largest raw material supplier. He knows Vatti’s clothes well, so if he said it’s a fake, it must be fake,” someone echoed immediately.
“Told you so. How can some d*ck hair like him wear Vatti’s clothes? Well, well. He not only conned himself in here, he even wore fake clothes,” He Yuan snickered too. He shot Ye Lingchen a mocking look and his eyes were filled with derision.
“You don’t have the sole say on whether it’s real or not.” Ye Lingchen shook his head.
Vatti’s clothes piled up in his home, and that particular set was given to him by Jia Di before the event. If those clothes were fake, then none of the Vattis in the world were genuine.
“Hehe, even at this point you’re still reluctant to admit your mistake!” Wu Junjie laughed. “If I tell everyone here that my understanding of the Vatti’s brand is ranked second-best, no one would dare to say that they know better! More than half of Vatti’s material is sourced from my family!”
Seeing Ye Lingchen’s unwavering complexion, he continued with a sneer, “The material on your body looks good, but Vatti’s current line doesn’t have anything similar to the style you’re wearing!”
Wu Junjie looked up and glared at Ye Lingchen with disdain.
It was nothing but a fake, yet he managed to get himself in the event. Such an overestimation of his capabilities!
Everyone there was very particular about fashion and they were extremely familiar with luxury brands. None of them took a closer look at the beginning, but after Wu Junjie’s reminder, they immediately noticed the difference in Ye Lingchen’s clothes. Many of the details and finishings were vastly different from Vatti’s usual style.
“That’s right, Vatti never announced this kind of style.”
“This manufacturer of this fake must have done so carelessly. They can’t even do an imitation?”
“That’s Young Master Wu for you. As expected, his eyes are sharp and he can spot fakes at a glance.”
Various discussions were heard all around them and many were pointing at Ye Lingchen.
“The one I’m wearing is their latest piece. It’s normal if you’re unaware of it.”
Ye Lingchen had given a lot of suggestions for the design of the clothes he wore. It was a new style, and the one worn by Ye Lingchen was probably the first piece to be produced.
“PFFTTT, HAHAHAHA…”
Wu Junjie burst into mocking laughter as if he heard the funniest joke in the world. He rocked back and forth and his entire body was shaking.
“Are you kidding me? The latest model from Vatti is the one I’m wearing right now!” he proclaimed. He flipped his cuffs to reveal a hidden Vatti logo. “And, this is Vatti’s limited edition. There are only one hundred pieces in the entire world! You can’t buy them even if you wanted to!”
It came as no surprise that there was another uproar after that remark was made.
He Yuan laughed in his heart. He was incredibly pleased to watch Ye Lingchen end up being exposed. Besides, trampling on Ye Lingchen allowed him to get on Young Master Wu’s good books. He killed two birds with one stone and everything was working out rather nicely!
As he thought of that, he could not resist stepping forward and pointing at Ye Lingchen arrogantly. “Ye Lingchen, Young Master Wu has already treated you with much dignity. Don’t be so shameless, now f*ck off!”
Xu Wanqing’s frowned and was prepared to say something in Ye Lingchen’s defense. However, Ye Lingchen’s faint voice was then heard.
“Even Vatti’s CEO would not dare to talk to me like this if he were here. Do all you think that you’re ‘all that’?”
The audience was stupefied after hearing what he said. Every single person gasped.
He Yuan was also dumbfounded, but he became incredibly inflamed soon after.
He looked at Ye Lingchen as if he was looking at some stupid c*nt.
It was Wu Junjie, for heaven’s sake. Wu Junjie could be regarded as one of Capital’s noblemen. He could make a person vanish as easily as a wave of his finger, but that idiot Ye Lingchen remained bravely stubborn. It was no different from courting death.
Xu Wanqing also looked at Ye Lingchen in shock. He was good at math, so why was his brain so slow? His bluntness could easily offend other people.
“You dare to talk to me like this?”
Wu Junjie was also stunned. His mind raced through countless possibilities: either Ye Lingchen would continue refusing to admit it, or he would ask for mercy to save himself, but even if Wu Junjie cracked his head just thinking about it, he would never have expected Ye Lingchen to make such a statement.
His actions could no longer be described as arrogance. It was nothing but lies, and he was practically gloating his way to the Milky Way.
He had no idea how Ye Lingchen dared utter such blatant falsity.
“Do you believe that no one will dare to speak up if I beat you up now and throw you out of here?”
“Ah? Is that so? You can try,” Ye Lingchen shrugged and said nonchalantly.
Wu Junjie grinned maliciously with a serious look in his eyes.
People around him have been flattering him ever since he was born. Not once did he ever see anyone dare to challenge him face-to-face.
Cracking a smile, his low voice was filled with malice as he said, “Okay, I’ll try then if you wanna try!”
“Wu Junjie, Jiangnan Tannery hasn’t yet reached a point where they can do as they please in Capital. If you cause trouble now, I don’t think your old man can do anything to save the situation even if he came here,” Xu Wanqing maintained an unwavering expression and warned sternly.
Wu Junjie gritted his teeth. Only the richest of the rich attended artiste fashion shows. Bigwigs and rich tycoons had yet to show up, and to ruin Jiangnan Tannery’s reputation for a piece of d*ck hair was not worth it at all.
“Alright kid, I’ll give you one chance. Now kneel before me and apologize. I shall let bygones be bygones!” Wu Junjie’s gaze was incredibly frigid and he gave Ye Lingchen a death stare.
“Ye Lingchen, Young Master Wu is being open-hearted now. And since that’s the case, it’s too ungrateful of you not too appreciate his kindness and apologize!” He Yuan persuaded, seemingly kindly.
“Exactly. Aren’t you going to apologize to Young Master Wu yet?”
“Even if a poor person isn’t afraid of a rich guy, this d*ck hair right here doesn’t know his place and had the balls to challenge Young Master Wu.”
“You want me to kneel and apologize?” Ye Lingchen smirked and looked at Wu Junjie calmly. “I’ll give you one chance too.
“Kneel now and apologize. Then I’ll pretend as though nothing happened.”
That… That…
That sentence spelled the ultimate doom.
Everyone around them was thoroughly flabbergasted. Many even covered their mouths with their hands and their brains were completely unable to bear such a strong impact.
