"I see." I hummed, looking at the others.
Kohta nodded at me while Rei looked as indifferent as usual.
However, the strangest reaction unexpectedly came from Saya. She kept staring at me since the start, and her face got redder each second. At the same time, I could see how she intentionally avoided eye contact and fiddled with her skirt hem.
"Are you going too?" I asked, curious as to why Saya joined them. She was already home, so why would she risk danger like that?
"Yes." She said weakly, avoiding my eyes. "I know how much Komuro wants to save his parents. He's my childhood friend and he has helped me many times, so I will help him in return."
I smirked, amused by the reason. It might only be an excuse for her. Probably she just wanted to be beside Takashi.
Saya glared at me, probably sensing what I was thinking.
'She's cute.' I thought, 'And her reaction is amusing. Maybe I should tease her from time to time.' That kind of person would certainly react amusingly if teased.
Putting those thoughts aside, I decided to give advice. These children needed to prepare before venturing out there, and I was sure Don Takagi wouldn't approve of Saya risking herself .
"Don't take the shortest route there. Use alternative routes or use different methods of transportation. Also, keep a lookout on your surroundings, don't trust anyone blindly and assume that they could be infected." I explained seriously.
"What are you, my dad?" Saya sharply replied, rolling her eyes.
I smirked inwardly at that and decided to end the conversation right there.
"Anyway, I'll be heading off now. Take care." I waved goodbye and walked off, pulling Saeko behind me.
"Thank you for your concern, Senior Busujima!" Takashi shouted his thanks behind us.
I didn't bother to look behind and only waved my hand. Saya kept staring at me, her gaze lowered down to my groin. Just as I thought, the way she stared at me changed.
Somehow I felt like a prey being targeted by a hungry predator.
