Living in the apocalypse was rough. It could change people. And it certainly had done that to me.
Just look at what I was doing now. Fucking a bunch of hot girls while the world burned. If you asked me, I would tell you that it was just normal. That it was the best thing to do. To fuck hot chicks, save people, and do whatever I wanted. After all, who would stop me?
And Miss Rika had also changed her perspective of the apocalypse. Seeing someone having sex was normal in desperate time. It's normal to seek company in this fucked up world.
But when that someone was a boy who stayed in her house, and fucked her best friend until she couldn't move alongside two other girls, not even Miss Rika could turn a blind eye.
Exhaling the smoke through her lips, she looked at me. There were so many emotions swirling in those orbs that I had a hard time reading her.
Curiosity, shock, and more importantly...
Maybe she felt jealous toward me for sleeping with Miss Shizuka. I knew they were close friends. Or maybe...
That's right, Miss Rika was curious of what we were doing,
I meant, we did it without her permission too. I thought she would return in 3 or 4 days. It was unexpected for me to see her so early.
She didn't reprimand or say anything though.
Miss Rika only told us to clean the house, which was kind of weird if you think about it.
Maybe she didn't want to deal with it.
But anyway, after we finished, she invited me for a talk.
"Miss Rika," I began, trying to explain myself. "Well, I have no excuse at all. We've been engaging in an activity that is very inappropriate. But we-"
"Desperate? Longing for human touch?"
"It's normal, Daiki." Miss Rika said with a serious look. "What I didn't expect was that you and Saeko were having sex."
"And Saya. I thought she hated you."
"Yeah, about that," I rubbed the back of my neck. "She is a tsundere, Miss Rika."
"We... Well, I seduced her at first, but she became so assertive that we are kind of, you know? She always makes the first move, even though sometimes it's me. It's like she has the urge to be fucked or something."
"Huh? Is that so?" She said, a little confused.
"Yes, Miss Rika. I'm telling the truth." I answered seriously, "It was mutual."
"Huh?" Miss Rika tilted her head, her eyes fixed on mine. "Of course it's mutual. Shizuka won't let you touch her without her permission."
'Yeah, I know that. She would bite me.'
"So... Just forget it. I only want you not to do it while I am here or I can catch you." Miss Rika shrugged her shoulders, "It's none of my business after all. Shizuka can do whatever she wants. She's not my daughter, but a friend."
And with that said, Miss Rika threw her cigarette, which only had its butt left, away. I watched her do so, not really understanding her reaction. Should I be grateful that she was letting it slide? I didn't know what kind of answer she expected me to give.
"Miss Rika..." I murmured.
"Yes?" Miss Rika turned to me, giving me a glance from her eyes. "If you want to get me, then you have to work hard. I am not an easy woman who will fall with just sweet words like Shizuka. Besides... Someone who can't shoot better than me isn't my type."
She grinned after saying that, and I grinned back.
'Why does it feel like she is flirting with me?'
I was pretty sure she wasn't flirting with me. After all, she just told me that she was interested in men who were good with guns. And she was also telling me indirectly to try and seduce her. She wasn't being serious.
Which meant, she was just teasing me. Probably.
'Is that a challenge?'
Or, she wanted to play with me?
Whatever it was, I would have my chance. It wasn't the time for it now. There were so many things that were more important than a fling.
I didn't need a fling. Not in this apocalypse. What I needed was a partner. Someone to rely on when things went south.
Honestly, Miss Rika fit that role perfectly.
As an ace sniper, she would have my back if I was ever in danger.
Also, her tanned skin, beautiful face, big breasts, and great figure were added bonuses that I liked very much. If she teased me, that meant I had a chance to get closer with her.
Miss Rika smirked, "Do I look like I am mad, Daiki? If I were mad, I would have kicked your butt and throw you out of the house."
"I don't think so, but..."
"Shizuka is my best friend. And if she likes you, then it is fine for me." Miss Rika said with a serious expression, and she sighed afterward. "As long as she's happy, I will respect that."
I wondered why she cared about Miss Shizuka's feelings so much. Did she like Miss Shizuka? No, that's ridiculous. But it seemed that Miss Rika was very concerned with her friend's wellbeing.
And that's a plus for her.
"Also, we need to talk about serious matters now." Her expression changed into a grim one, "Tell me, how did it go? Did you encounter the undead in the quarantine zone's borders? And did something happen during your outing?"
Just like when I explained it to the girls, I told Miss Rika the same stuff again. My explanation was exactly the same except for some small part because the recorder would probably catch everything I said and transmit it directly to Wesker's office.
There was a possibility that the information would be sent somewhere else, but it would still be better if they heard the same thing but slightly different.
Humans couldn't exactly say the same thing 100%. They would definitely rephrase it.
Anyway, after I was done explaining, Miss Rika looked at me intently and then sighed. She shook her head slowly as if she had heard something she did not expect to hear.
"You're too reckless. You said you met a spy? Describe her appearance." Miss Rika asked, her face showing worry and fear.
I could only smile wryly and said, "She was Asian, Miss Rika. She had short black hair and her body... It was amazing, if I must say. She is around your height."
"An asian woman with short black hair and a good body? That doesn't narrow it down." Miss Rika looked disappointed.
"Oh, she also recognizes my vest as the Raccoon Police's vest. And she said something about a rival company and that I might be their agent."
Miss Rika's face turned serious, "What's her name?"
"I don't know, she didn't tell me."
Hearing that, she nodded slowly. It seemed that she was already acquainted with Ada Wong, though I wasn't sure if it was a good or a bad one.
Anyway, the danger was thankfully averted. And now I could relax a little. Miss Rika wasn't mad, and that was the most important thing. She wasn't mad at me for sleeping with her friends, and I could keep doing what I had been doing until now.
However, she was worried about the spy, so I deliberately withheld the name from my conversation.
Anyway, she was not a problem. At least, for now.
"Okay then, let's leave this spy for now. She is not your concern. You are lucky to have survived. I don't think anyone in the city is still alive." Miss Rika continued, "So you are done with your business in the city, yes?"
"Well, you can say that. I only want to shoot zombies but I met a strange blob instead. But if you have anything you need to do there, you can count on me."
"No, thanks. It's not important." She replied immediately. Her face changed to a more relaxed one, "Just rest. I will report it to Wesker."
"Understood." I nodded and left the room.
It seemed that she had a secret that she didn't want me to know. But, again, who was I to force someone to tell their secret? And she was a military woman now, a former police officer, so she surely had a lot of secrets that she couldn't tell civilians.
Anyway, we're safe. For now.
