"I was the first person to come ", dad said to us, trying to make us laugh but we couldn't hold our laughter, as we both chuckled. Thus mom brought out the bread from the oven and shoved two slices each in our mouth.
Hmmm', I murmured with the creamy, soft, and how tasty it was, salivating so bad. Then mom shared the bread with us and we all ate to our heart content.
Suddenly, I parcel came home for us, by the mailman, it stated that we were being invited to a gallery exhibition at " star burn showroom", by Christian. And the moment the parcel guy left, a worker from the Hernandez family, came with lots of gift bags for us. With one of the gifts was specifically for my sister. Mom handed her the gift, she collected It and went to the room. I stood there and watched her open the gift, and brought out a blue laced gown, a rose flower plus a romantic note.
If I didn't know who he was, I would have said, he was the right person for my sister but unfortunately I did. It was time to head to the party, as we were nicely dressed, also the driver Christian send for us to take us to the party.
A few hours later, we got to the there and It was filled with so many people, I figured some would be Christians business partner.
Meanwhile, Christian was giving a little speech about the artist's work, and the minute he gazed at us, he came down from the podium, introducing anna as his wife to be.
"Argh, what a show-off", I said to myself glaring at him, as his hand sloped over my sister's shoulder. Throughout the party, my eyes were on them as a hawk because I didn't trust the son of a bitch.
Christian introduced her to his business partners, friends, and well-wishers, and I still kept watch over my sister until a waiter from the party came to offer me a drink and the moment my eyes derailed from them, I could not find a trace of them at the party. I searched for until I saw both at a secluded spot, as he tired to act clever with my sister. Anna yanked him off, but he held her so strong that she was unable to move.
"Get your filthy hands off my sister", I screamed at him, but yet he refused to do so. I ran to my sister and forcefully dragged her off him.
"You don't Listen do you?", Christian said with a stern glance at me,as he requested me to leave Anna and him alone, seeing that I was so stubborn, I quickly declined.
As I clearly reminded him of the promise I made, the other day at his house but in return, he also reminded me if his promise to me.
"How about I fulfill my own promise now", he smirked, asking us to come back to the party and see the magic he performs. Hurriedly we rushed from there and saw, Christian, giving an announcement.
" Ladies and gentlemen"
"May I get your attention please?" he said making everyone stop what they were doing and paid almost attention him.
" Today is not just going to be" "An art show",
"But also the engagement party" "Between Anna and I ". He said.
My sister and I stood there dumbfounded, we never expected him to do such a thing, hoping our parents will not conform to what he said, but unfortunately they both agreed.
Christan slowly walked down to where Anna and I stood and took her away from me. With his face all lite up from what just happened.
I stood there and saw my sister, get engaged to him and there was nothing I could do to stop it.
After the party, the chauffeur took us home, whereas Anna didn't alter a word to anyone, and the minute we reach, she came down and left to the room, without saying a word.
Minutes later, I got to the room and saw her face pinned down to the pillow, as she sobs.
"You could have stopped it," I said standing close to her.
"No I couldn't" Anna replied back to me.
Yes, you could but you didn't want too, why"? I asked her waiting for a reply but all she did was stutter trying to find a word to say.
I got fade up and dragged her out of the bed, as I demanded for an explanation, thus marrying a man that has brought nothing but emotional pains and heartbreak to her.
" I don't know", Anna shouted shoving her hands off me, as she still stuttered forgetting what to say.
I couldn't stand all this, so I left her alone in the room.
I sat down outside the house and later on Anna comes to meet me. I didn't pay attention to her, because I can't understand why she was doing all this.
"I know you must be wondering why I am marrying Christian," Anna said gawking directly at me.
"But, I have to marry him for mom and dad". She also said hoping to get a reply from me.
I looked at her and ask if she was okay.
"Huh! She altered as she couldn't understand why I said that, so I asked her why in the world would she marry a man just because of mom and dad.
