Anya's Point of View
I went out of my room, and I immediately saw that they were panicking downstairs. Brent was holding Alpha Allan as he struggled to enter the vacant space. I went downstairs and stood next to Lilac.
"Lilac, what happened?" I asked her. She looked at me and smiled sadly.
"Alpha Allan found his mate, but she's in critical condition right now," she said softly. Oh god. I immediately looked at Alpha Allan; the pain was evident in his eyes. He was still trying to get rid of Brent.
"Fuck! Release me this instant, Brent!" he growled, but Brent did not listen to him.
"You need to calm down, Alpha!" Brent said firmly.
"Calm down!? Damn it, Brent! How can I do that when my mate's life is in danger!?" he shouted angrily. We all fell in complete silence; neither of us wanted to speak. I averted my gaze from Alpha Allan. I can't stand seeing him in that state. He looked so vulnerable, broken. I suddenly thought of Marcus; what if he was the one in the room right now? I may not be able to withstand it. Even though he doesn't love me, I still love him dearly.
"Lilac, I'm leaving first," I said to Lilac and walked out of the house.
Allan's Point of View
(Hours before meeting his mate)
"Brent," I called my beta through the pack link. He knocked on my office door first before entering inside.
"Yes, Alpha?" he asked.
"When was our schedule to visit the Crimson Pack?" I asked him while scribbling my signatures on the essential documents.
"That would be in next week, Alpha," he replied to me. I turned the swivel chair and looked at the sky through the window. Five years, five years, but I'm still searching for her. Since our eighteenth birthday we tried searching for our mate, but we weren't lucky.
"Okay. Thank you, Brent. You can leave now," I said to my beta and smiled. He bowed his head and left the office. I was suddenly overwhelmed by my senses; my wolf was edgy today.
"What happened to you?" I asked him.
"I can feel her. I can feel our mate; she's here," he answered me. I groaned.
"She's not here, bud. Maybe it's just your illusion," I told him.
"I want to run, Allan," he said to me. I let out a sigh.
"Fine," I replied and got up from my chair. I closed the documents and left the office. I saw Brent in the living room, currently eating his snack.
"Going to run, Alpha?" he asked. I nodded my head a grabbed the shirt hanging on the couch's headrest.
"Want me to escort you?" he asked me once again. I looked at him and mouthed, 'seriously,' he smiled and raised his hand. I glared at him before leaving the packhouse. I transformed into my wolf form. My wolf's color is brown, and it's bigger in size. Most of the Alphas wolves were more prominent than an ordinary werewolf. I run at full speed into the forest.
When I sat down near the cave while I thought of my mate, what is she look like? I know she is beautiful, no doubt about that. What was her favorite food? Favorite color? I sighed. I badly want to see her, hug her, and kiss her. I want to hold her in my arms. I hope to see her.
I suddenly heard the twigs snap. Is there another werewolf here beside me? Yeah, right, rogues. I got up and sauntered. I glanced around the area then it hit me. The most amazing scent I've ever smelt. The mixtures of strawberry and chocolates, it's my mate's scent. She's here!
"Bud, she's here!" I said happily to my werewolf.
"My intuition was right," he said and scoffed, but I know he's grinning from ear to ear.
"Wait, what was that?" I asked him. "Blood," we both said at the same time. I quickly ran to where the smell was coming from. I felt her stop moving, so I went out of my hiding place. Before my mate fell to the ground, I immediately supported her body.
"Mine," I growled, but she already closed her beautiful eyes. I scanned her body and saw numerous scars and fresh cuts. I panicked. Anger rose in my body. Who's the fucking bastard that did this to her!? I gently caressed her face with the palm of my hand and clenched my fist.
That person will pay for what he did to you. I got dressed and immediately ran back to the packhouse, carrying her in my arms. I can't bring her when I'm in my wolf form because I can't put her on my back. When we arrived at the packhouse, I immediately kicked the door opened.
"Call the pack doctors! Faster!" I commanded them. They scurried in their feet and hurriedly called the doctor. I opened the door of the vacant room I have and gently laid my mate down.
"Where's the pack, doctors!?" I shouted. I felt her pulse, it was weak, and it seemed to disappear.
"Hey, come on, baby. You can do it. Please, fight for me," I said softly as I held her hand tightly. I felt something came out of my eyes, and I didn't realize I was already crying. I wiped my tears. I can't lose her. The pack doctors rushed to the clinic; they put something on her. I saw one of the doctors hold my mate's hand.
"She's mine!" I growled and grabbed his collar. He was afraid while looking at me.
"Alpha Allan, you need to calm down. We can't do our job if you are like that. I suggest you need to leave this room," Derick, the pack doctor, said. I glared at him; I was about to punch him when the monitor suddenly rang. Straight line. My heart sank; our slightest bond seemed to disappear.
Brent pulled me out of the room. I dumbfoundedly looked at the door: scars, blood, my mate, our bond, straight line. I try to get rid of Brent's grip.
"Fuck! Release me, Brent!" I growled at him.
"You need to calm down, Alpha!" Brett said firmly. I looked at him.
"Calm down!? Damn it, Brent! How can I do that when my mate's life is in danger!?" I shouted. Brent went silent as well as the other werewolves in the packhouse. I knelt on the cold floor. Moon Goddess, please save her, I beg of you. I will do anything; please save her, save my mate's life.
