We all went to a diner further in the city to eat. Me and Denise talked a lot, getting to know each other. She's mostly like Landon.
Loud.
Like once you get to know her, she's really loud and out going. She's perfect for Landon.
We are in a booth with a window side. Me and Denise our opposite of each other next to the window while Jaxon and Landon are at the end. Mine and Jaxons hands are wrapped around each other on top of the table while I use my other hand to look through the menu.
The weightier came by and asked what we would like to drink. I asked for sweet tea while Jaxon and Landon order coffee. And Denise got a orange juice.
I was playing with my straw staring out to the window watching cars pass by and seeing them honk their horns when they got stuck in traffic. A traffic cop hand his whistle in his mouth, gliding the cars each direction but he looked like he was having the time of his life. He had his eyes close with he had some head phones in dancing away, sending each car a different way. I smiled because a least he likes his job right now.
Their voices were muffles to me. I stared out side still but I saw this black suburban make their way to the curb side. The windows were tinted black. My heart picked up a little but I just told myself he's dead, it's someone else's car.
So I continued to stare at this car and sip some of my drink. The driver and passenger door was opening and I felt myself lean closer to the window. I saw a leg come out and then another. The top of the person from the passenger side was slowly standing tall and I kept leaning more, trying to see this person.
"Jordan." His voice said in a whisper in my ear making me jump off my seat. My heart pounded against my chest.
"Don't do that." I said smacking his chest. He did a small chuckle and stared at my eyes. "Well sorry to scare you, but your food got here like five minutes ago, and I'm pretty sure it's already cold."
I sighed and looked at my plate. Just eggs with hash browns and two slices of bacon. "Thank you." I looked back at him and see him smile and then reach over to Landon's plate a stole a piece of toast from him. I looked back down at my plate but looked back outside.
What scared me the most, was all these men lined up in front of three suburbans and all wore black. But one man stood out the most. Probably because he was the only one without sunglasses and was smiling at me. It felt like everything around me stopped and me and this guy were the only ones breathing. He tilt his head to the side while his smile grew bigger. His lips moved and I stared at them trying to understand what he was saying. I finally mouth what he said and I swear my face paled while my heart dropped.
'Found you.'
His smile grew bigger while my hand was trying find Jaxons. I snapped my head to the side and shook his shoulder violently. "Jaxon." He was chewing while he turned to me. "Yeah?"
I gripped his face and pulled him over me and made him stare at the window while we saw the men making their way towards the diner. The guy was still staring at me smiling but that's until he saw Jaxon. That's when his face turned around and turned into a scowl. He looked to one of his men and said something and that made them start running to the door.
"We need to go. Now." Jaxon said hurrying to get up. I looked over to Landon and Denise and see them sharing a piece of bacon. "What?" Landon said while pulling away.
"Leave. Let's go!" He said getting out and pulling me with him.
"What? Why?"
"Landon! Not-" gun shots fired and the people in here started to scream. I ducked a little and my eyes grew wide while I tried to get out faster. I looked over to the door and see two people getting shot dead. I flinched at the sound of the gun and I looked over to Landon. He was already pulling out Denise while her face was pale and she was in a stage of shock. Jaxon was pulling me out the emergency exit while I stared at the men barging in, shooting at innocents. Landon had her over his shoulder while reaching in his jacket pulling out his gun.
Jaxon threw me over his shoulder while everything was going in slow motion. More men came in. Aiming for us but would miss or end up shooting at others. We made it out of the diner and they both ran to the car. We parked the car in a garage since the streets were so busy. I saw that man staring at us while smirking. He lifted his shoulder and said something in his shoulder and that's when I saw more suburbans drift out of a corner rushing towards us. I pushed off Jaxons shoulder while he still ran. He started to stop when I landed on my feet but I started to sprint towards the garage.
I heard Landon tell Denise she needs to run to the car. He dropped her and we all ran up the hill towards the car. Landon and Jaxon were behind us, protecting us from any shots. Then gun shots echoed through the tunnel were we we're running too, Denise has wide eyes while her eyes are glossed over. I feel bad for her because she doesn't even know what's happening. I don't even know.
I see the car ahead, so I grip her hand and start to sprint with her in hand. I make it to the door and I'm struggling to open while she does the same. Our hands are shaky and I look behind and see them shooting at the tires that some suburbans came in.
"Jaxon! The keys!" I yell. He looks behind himself and then reaches in his pocket pulling out the key and then throwing it towards me. He looks back and starts to shoot at the windows.
The keys smack against the door and scratches it but I quickly pick it up and unlock the doors. Denise quickly climbs in while I run to the driver side and start the car. I put the car in gear and speed towards Jaxon and Landon who are shooting at the cars but end up running out of bullets. The car drifts to the side while they both look to us. They start to run towards the car and Jaxon rushes towards the driver side. Landon climbs in the back so I start to climb in the passenger side but land on my chest when car turns around.
I sit up while Jaxons is drives up the levels. The cars chases us up the levels. We make it to the top floor and Jaxon spins the car around while I stare at him.
"What the hell are you doing!?" I ask while I stare at the opening waiting for them to just show up. He didn't answer me. His fist tighten around the steering wheel and I look to the back seat. Landon reaches in front of me, and reaches in the side of my seat and pulls out another clip. He sits back while he rubs Denise's leg, trying to calm her down. I look back to the front and I start to see the black cars.
"Jaxon?" I whisper and one by one the black cars start to come up and surround us.
"Jaxon?"
Nothing. I look over to him and I see him staring hard at the cars while his jaw ticks. When the last car finally came up, that's when he sped forward and made the car drift to the opening. The cars tried to ram into us but end up missing and ram into each other. He sped down each floor, drifting each turn and finally drifting the last corner and rushing out of there.
He didn't care for the traffic because he drove on the side walk making the people who were walking jump out of the way. I held the door handle while he turned trying to get them off our tail.
He sped down the streets while almost hitting everyone who was walking across. He sped down the streets making his way in the freeway. He didn't stop speeding. He merged off and we ended up at his house. He stoped the car and quickly climbing out rushing over to my side, opening the door and taking my hand. He looks around and rushes us in. Landon does the same and we all quickly go inside.
When the door closes and when I land on the couch, that's when Jaxon and Landon spills everything on me.
