Chapter 31
"And that's what I'm doing," Nathaniel assured her. He wanted to get to know his Angel, make her his only. The blush and smile should only be reserved for him and God bless any third wheeler. He was a possessive person, what was his, always remains his whether by hook or crook.
Aunty Sally smiled, seeing the possessive glint in Nathaniel's eyes, and shook her head, "Let's not make her wait," she said, removing her apron before hanging it on the hook.
"Yeah" he nodded and couldn't wait to see his Angel.
They walked out of the kitchen only to stop on their track when they saw Angelina and Hayden pose.
"Another one again" Hayden pleaded, pouting his face after so many pictures they'd snapped.
"No.." she groaned, "Your phone would have filled with our pictures already," she said, "And there's no more post again" she slumped on the chair. It was fun, she felt like a child again. Hayden brought out the energy in her after taking pictures, they did some reels also and also tried the slow-motion stuff.
"This is the last one" he whined, "...Uhn?" raising his brow with lips downward.
"Oh my God" She facepalmed herself, she couldn't get away under his puppy eyes, "Okay, last one" she reluctantly agreed.
"Yay," he exclaimed, "That's why I love you" he grinned, positioning his phone on the table to record them.
"Are you ready kids?" Hayden mimicked the voice of the pirate as Angelina's eyes widened in recognition and beamed, clapping her hands together. Exhilaration rushed through her, she missed this.
"Aye-aye captain" she responded in a child's voice, bringing her hand to the side of her head like she was saluting.
"I can't hear you…" Hayden raised his brow.
"Aye-aye captain!" she giggled.
"Ohhhhhh! Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?" They chorused.
"SpongeBob SquarePants!...Absorbent and yellow and porous is he!.... SpongeBob SquarePants!" They sang out the SpongeBob theme song without care of their surroundings, lost in the childish vibes.
"SquarePants" they squealed the last word and hi-five each other, laughing out loud.
"Woah, quite a display" Nathaniel made his presence known as Angelina gasped, flustered. "Interesting," he said, coming closer then pecking her cheek adoringly while Hayden made a disgusted face.
"Go get a girlfriend if you are jealous" Nathaniel snickered.
"I'm still in my wooing process" he chimed while Nathaniel rolled his eyes.
"I'm sorry to cut this reunion short but we need to enjoy our time" he announced, making Hayden wiggle his brow, and aunty Sally looked amused. Always straightforward.
"Oh sorry lover boy" Aunty Sally exclaimed dramatically, "We won't want to hinder your precious time," she said coyly while Angelina blushed furiously.
"I'm going out now, I want to buy some groceries. Why don't I accompany you guys to give you a tour of Victoria market?" she made a statement while Angelina was already nodding. It would be good.
Nathaniel patted Hayden's back, "don't trouble aunty Sally too much Uhn," He said, smiling at it.
Hayden walked to where Angelina stood, "Thanks for today, I enjoyed myself". He grinned while Angelina nodded, "Me too, it was fun" she agreed.
Nathaniel put his hand forward when he saw Hayden stretching his arms to hug Angelina, "unh Unh" he shook his head, "Five feet apart" he muttered...
"What?!".
"That's it you heard, five feet apart" he smirked, snaking his hand around her waist, pulling her to him, "Mine". Both of them glowered at each other, chest-puffing out.
Aunty Sally shook her head and smacked both of them, muttering 'boys' and they released, 'oww's' sounds, touching where she hit. All they all cracked up in laughter.
Hayden smiled sadly and walked to Angelina, hugged her. He had bonded with her in a short period.
"Take care of yourself" he smiled, "And make sure don't tell him" he whispered but Nathaniel heard, raising his brow in question.
They said their last goodbye to Hayden and went out of the shop, Angelina sighed dejectedly. Nathaniel noticed it and rubbed her back softly, "We will visit sometimes before we go back home" he whispered in a soft voice, tucking her straight hair behind her ear then kissing her.
He could never get tired of kissing her, touching her, and burying his nose at her jugular. He loved the taste of her lips, the scent of her body, and the softness of her skin.
The market is not far from Aunty Sally's shop so they decided to trek down the market.
"A trip to Seychelles without visiting the Victoria Market is incomplete," Aunty Sally said, carrying her basket entering the market which was bustling with humans trying to sell and buy goods. The market was small by African standards yet the people here were focusing on what he or they came to do.
"Good afternoon" Aunty Sally greeted a woman, waving her hand to her., "it looks beautiful" Angelina whispered to Nathaniel looking at everything in awe as they passed the fishmongers division. Different kinds of fishes were displayed from their color to size. Angelina brought her camera out and snapped the fish that was on the plank, a redfish. She had never seen a redfish before, she was amazed. Aunty Sally saw her and stopped, smiling at her, "We locally called the redfish Aayvi" She said, " tastier than some fishes and is twice cheaper" she explained, smiling at the fishmonger.
"You can buy it, a rare fish 4 kg is $12 but I'll discount you, so pay $11 with the cleaning also," The lady said, bringing out different sizes.
"What's that?" Angelina pointed the bet beside the lady.
"It's a baby shark," the woman responded.
"A baby shark?!" her eyes widened and went nearer but kept a good distance, snapping the picture. A real-life baby shark. Oh my God, she exclaimed, bubbling in happiness.
"And that's parrotfish and barracuda, very rare seafood" the lady input.
Oh my goodness, gleefully, Angelina touched it. Very soft.
Aunty Sally smiled at her hysterical happiness and turned to the fishmonger who was ready to clean the fish, "Erica, they just come here to visit but I'm coming back to buy two" Aunty Sally informed the lady, "So, keep two down for me" She pleaded and took their hands to the fruit and vegetable stores.
Everything here was beautiful and magical, the apples were calling her, the red succulent apples inviting her. She gulped and Nathaniel smiled, noticing her gaze on the fresh fruit. He brought out his wallet and bought some before telling the man to give them souvenirs, vanilla, and coconuts extract. They were colorful wraps and the souvenirs were shaped as coco. Angelina collected, flashing a smile at Nathaniel before latching on it.
They stopped at many places as Aunty Sally haggled with the buyer to some necessary things.
After so much exploration of the market, Aunty Sally left them to go back to her shop while the couple continued their tour and Angelina did not leave the attractions without picturing them. They passed the cathedral church to the central mosque and the popular Hindu temple. They walked side to side as they held hands until they reached the center of the city where the tower clock was which was the focal part of the duty centers. It is a replica of the clock tower on London's Vauxhall Bridge. It was brought to Victoria in 1903 when Seychelles became a crown colony.
"Everything so beautiful" Angelina exclaimed while Nathaniel nodded, he was content in just watching her.
"Where to now?" he asked, smiling at her eagerness to explore more.
"Anywhere will do" she responded cheekily.
"Okay," he brought out his phone to call their driver.
"What are you doing?" Angelina asked.
"To call the driver" he replied.
"Oh, public transportation!" Angelina pointed to the red bus in glee and looked from Nathaniel who raised his brow in question to the bus because he didn't understand where public buses have to do with him calling his driver.
Angelina's eyes twinkled with mischief, before grabbing his hand to the bus, Nathaniel stumbled his feet on the ground, stopping.
"What?".
"We are taking the bus" she answered in a duh tone, shrugging her shoulders.
"No no no" he shook his head in mortification, "I never boarded a bus" he spoke quickly, looking at the bus like a nightmare.
Angelina rolled her eyes dramatically, "It's gonna be fun. Trust me on this" she widened her eyes, beating his arm eagerly.
He sighed, slowly his nerve, "Okay" he agreed reluctantly.
"Yo!" she screamed happily, lunging herself at him then peppering his face with kisses, Nathaniel didn't expect it but he was happy that he agreed.
Nathaniel cleared his throat, feeling himself tighten in his pants immediately, well, everything about her made him tighten. Her smiles, her touches, and everything. And he didn't take her as someone who publicly displayed affection or maybe it caught her off guard like him.
When Angelina noticed her predicament, she gulped nervously and detached herself immediately from him, standing deer apart with a red face.
To cut the awkwardness, "I didn't take you as a person of PDA" he teased, seeing her covering her eyes.
"Shut up," she said in a small voice, leaving him to the bus as he followed her cue.
