Evans pov’s
I was going to the grocery to get more foodstuffs.
Because we were out of food ingredients and I needed to go to the store ASAP.
I decided to also buy some special ingredients to make a special dish today.
I can’t wait to surprise Manson with my dish.
I know his going to be so excited when he taste my cooking.
Am so going to prove that am better than him in the kitchen.
I kept having random thoughts and they form a smile on my face.
I took my attention to the road when I saw an incoming vehicle about to hit a child.
“Oh no” I exclaimed.
It was as if the driver wasn’t aware of the kid infront of him.
Someone needs to save that child I thought.
Stop I screamed gesturing with my hands to the driver.
This caught the attention of the passerby and I could hear people gasping as they saw the sence.
Hey out I screamed again now placing my attention at the girl infront of the incoming vehicle.
Get off the way I screamed again now running with full speed.
Somebody help I added but there wasn’t any response as people just gather up watching the sence..
But all my effort seems abortive as neither the driver nor the kid got my message.
I knew then someone has to do something and it has to be done quickly.
Without thinking I rushed to the kid path and pushed her away from the incoming vehicle.
As I was about leaving the road unfortunately for me I got hit by the same vehicle.
I guess I wasn’t fast enough to save myself.
“He’s a hero
“Oh no is he dead
“Someone call the ambulance.
I heard screams from people afar from different voices which was unfamiliar to me.
I heard the faint sound of heels coming to my direction as I tried to open my eyes but I felt dizzy
My vision became blurry and I kept seeing people in double.
I tried to flutter my eyes open but I found it difficult.
I found myself drifting to darkness slowly as people gathered around me
The last word I heard was “oh no“
Before I blacked out.
Emily pov’s
I was scared when I saw the waiter on the floor.
Oh God I hit him with my car I never imagined doing this to him.
Though I intended giving him a punishment but not this kind I feel so terrible.
Hw was selfless out there, he didn’t care about his life but that of a little child.
How many men can do such.
Wow, with all the risk involved in saving that child he went ahead doing it ignoring the disadvantage.
That’s so brave of him I thought
“Please help” I half yelled as I sighted the ambulance vehicle coming our direction.
With the help of some passerby, they carried him in my car.
Yes I wanted to be the one to take him to the hospital since I caused this to him.
Atleast I would be able to apologise maybe I guess.
I rushed to the hospital panting heavily
I was able to get the nurse attention and immediately he was rushed to the emergency unit.
Have being waiting for 2 hours to hear some news from the doctor
Oh God I hope his condition is not bad
“I pray he would be okay” I mumbled
Please God nothing should happen to him I muttered am inaudible prayer clasping my hands together.
****Few minutes later*****
I saw a doctor walk out from the emergency unit sweating profusely.
I rushed to him and before I could say anything he smiled and said
“His fine and just need some rest”
Oh thanks I said releasing the breath I didn’t know I held.
Please follow me to my office there’s something we need to discuss she said walking away while I trailed behind him.
“””The doctor office””
“Well ma’am the young man is fine and responding to treatment” he said
“Thank God” I replied in relieved
“But he won’t be able to use his right hand for some time” he added
“Why” I asked altering confused.
Is the hand broken I rushed my words staring deeply at the doctor.
Calm down ma’am his arm is not broken she said and I breathe in feeling relieved.
“There was a fractured there and it will take some time to heal”
“Though he would be able to move but not really well” he added
“Fracture?” I asked
He nodded and said he will be needing a relative or someone to take care of him for the time being”
“Okay” I smiled
“Anything else” I asked visibly shaking.
“There nothing else ma’am, you may take your leave.
“Thank you doctor” I said shaking his hands before walking out of his office.
I thought about what the doctor said, gosh he won’t be able to use his right arm that bad.
Oh gosh see what your carelessness has caused emily
I mentally scolded and slapped myself
I got to the reception paid his bills and bought his drugs
I went to out to grab some fruits and snacks for him since he would be needing it
I checked my time and saw it time to pick my daughter from school
I drive hurriedly but carefully not to hit anyone again
I got to school and saw her waiting for me
She frown her face when she saw me
I apologise to her but she refused to talk to me.
On my way home I decided to divert to the hospital maybe if she see Evans she will cheer up
We came out if the car and eva had a confuse face
“Mom are you sick why are we in the hospital” she asked while I smiled at her.
“No baby mommy has a susprised for you” I said instead.
“A susprised in the hospital wired” she added while I rolled my eyes.
“Wait till you see it darling” I state.
“When I got in the receptionist inform me that he has been moved to the VIP ward and I smiled at her
And she told me the ward number 6”
When we got there eva opened the door and gasped before screaming loud
“Uncle Evans” she screamed.
Uncle??
“Whatttt”.
