Heroes' Prison Chapter 34

The Beast King Form of Huang Yi possessed boundless strength; his force, combined with a towering pounce, bore the power to split mountains and crack the earth. Chen Yuxi stood no chance; she was sent flying by the tremendous impact, crashing into a tree before coming to a halt, spitting out a large mouthful of blood. In a panic, Chen Yuxi tried to pick herself up, but Huang Yi rushed to her side in an instant, stepping a hoof-claw onto her face. The red flames on his claw instantly spread to her body, beginning to scorch her face with a sizzling sound, as if barbecuing meat. The Hunting Dog and Falcon also arrived quickly, fiercely attacking the barely breathing Chen Yuxi. Chen Yuxi attempted to scream, but her mouth was pinned down, and she could only utter muffled "mmph" sounds. Looking up at Huang Yi, she saw a tall reflection in his eyes—and had the premonition that this would cast a lifelong shadow over her, unforgettable! With his foot pressing down on Chen Yuxi’s face, Huang Yi looked down and said, "Tonight, I’ll kill you until your reincarnation ends!" Having said this, Huang Yi activated the Eye of Time and crushed Chen Yuxi’s skull with one foot. In the next moment, the Eye of Time allowed Huang Yi to see into Chen Yuxi’s future. The system did not judge Chen Yuxi to have reincarnated but instead entered a Death Space. She could only resurrect at a Respawn Point, and the nearest one to this place was three kilometers to the southwest, a place called Wind Forest Stronghold. Huang Yi turned to look southwest where the profound jungle, hidden in the darkness of the night, caught his sight. However, his bloodshot eyes seemed to penetrate endless space, through the night, past each big tree, through layers of leaves, to glimpse the small stronghold, to see that Respawn Point. Chen Yuxi and her companions distorted the truth. Although they were dead now, Huang Yi had no intention of letting them go; he was set to guard the corpses at that Respawn Point, and kill them until they entered reincarnation! Otherwise, leaving them be would only lead to endless troubles. "Whoosh!" Just then, several arrows shot towards him at high speed! Chen Yuxi’s fellow Half-Beastmen had finally arrived, though too late! Huang Yi had no intention of entangling himself with this group of Half-Beastmen. He swiftly snatched up a pair of Gauntlets that Chen Yuxi had dropped and leaped onto the dense branches of a large tree. He then quickly bounced between the thick branches, disappearing from view in no time. In the forest, he was the Beast King, whose coming and going left no trace, unstoppable by anyone. Huang Yi’s figure, enshrouded in red flames, dashed through the woods like a rocket. Occasionally, a shadow flickered momentarily before disappearing, heading towards Wind Forest Stronghold at great speed. At this moment, Huang Yi finally had the opportunity to examine the equipment dropped by Chen Yuxi and her companions. The Icy Greatsword had dropped a Helmet that was Whiteboard Equipment, which, besides the basic Physical Defense points, also provided an additional 30 points of Strength, perfectly matching Huang Yi’s main attribute. The Skull-dropped Necklace was also Whiteboard Equipment; except for the basic Magic Defense, it added 15 points of Intelligence, which was almost useless to Huang Yi. In The Second World, there are eight tiers of equipment, ranging from lowest to highest as Whiteboard, Green Gear, Blue Gear, Purple Gear, Orange Gear, Legendary, Epic, Divine Artifact. Among them, Legendary, Epic, and Divine Artifacts are unique with extremely high attribute bonuses. Even possessing a single piece could greatly improve one’s strength. So far, the highest level of equipment obtained by players in The Second World is Orange Gear; none have obtained Legendary Equipment yet, let alone Epic and Divine Artifacts, which remain elusive. Next, Huang Yi turned his attention to the Gauntlets that Chen Yuxi had dropped. These were the most important part of all equipment and what Huang Yi cared for the most. For him at this stage, Gauntlets were the most suitable weapon. Even though his class specialized in weapons like Axe types, Blade types, Heavy Arms Type, Polearm Class, Hammer Class—the kind of brutal armaments—he was currently in Beast King Form, not yet evolved into a humanoid shape, and therefore incapable of wielding these heavy weapons. Only Gauntlets were appropriate for his current form, though lacking specialized bonuses. [Exploding Flame Gauntlets] (Green Gear, Weapons – Gauntlets) Close Combat Attack Power: 120-140 Strength +52 Agility +20 Durability: 168/180 Required Level: 15 Equipment Score: 72 Item Description: A common set of close combat attack type gauntlets. These gauntlets aren’t too bad—they were green gear, which added two attributes, and one of them was strength, which was exactly Huang Yi’s main attribute! Huang Yi immediately chose to equip them. The gauntlets transformed and automatically fitted onto his two forepaws, with a metal spike protruding from each knuckle, gleaming under the moonlight and radiating a deadly aura! Huang Yi checked his attribute panel; his attack power was 420 when he was unequipped, but after donning these three pieces of equipment, his attack power instantly soared to 770-790, nearly doubling! His strength had visibly increased. If he were to fight against Chen Yuxi and her crew again now, it would be like slicing through butter. With his confidence surging, Huang Yi quickened his pace, eager to rush to Wind Forest Stronghold to slaughter Chen Yuxi and her companions and continue to pillage their equipment. Previously, his level grinding in the forest had only involved killing beasts, which only dropped materials, not equipment. The fastest way to assemble a set of gear was to repeatedly kill Chen Yuxi and her companions and loot their equipment for his own use. Huang Yi’s eyes sharpened as he focused on the direction of Wind Forest Stronghold, exuding endless killing intent, like a hunter tracking his prey, overcoming mountains and rivers, unstoppable in his pursuit! After crossing a stream, scaling a mountaintop, and passing a waterfall, Huang Yi finally reached the summit and looked down into the distance. Below the mountaintop, nestled in the jungle, sat a stronghold. It was deep night, and the lights were few and far between; people had gone to sleep, looking peaceful under the cover of night. "Sis, hide in this tree hollow and don’t come out. Don’t make a sound. I’ll return to find you once I’ve avenged our mother," Huang Yi found a large tree hollow and placed Little White Cat inside it. He instructed her before heading off to kill in Wind Forest Stronghold. That place was a camp, filled with many people. It was highly likely that they would face dangerous situations, and Little White Cat, being a purebred Spirit Cat, could easily become a target for everyone. Little White Cat didn’t seem to understand completely but was clearly reluctant, clutching tightly to Huang Yi with her small paws, her eyes brimming with tears as she stared at him, unwilling to part. Seeing her pitiful eyes, Huang Yi’s heart softened, and he coaxed, "Be good! Those three evil-doers committed heinous crimes; they must be killed until reincarnation to atone for their wrongs. Once they are dealt with, we’ll immediately leave this place and head to Holy Lake for your Awakening of the Nefalem bloodline. It won’t be long. I’ll return before dawn, so wait for me here, okay?" —————————— Thank you to kulamingyue and Si Sic for their generous rewards
