Ajith POV.
I don't know what's her problem. Why can't she just follow what I tell her? I took her for buying groceries. It is the first time somebody is seating behind my bike to the girl. I never let anyone touch my bike but see this madam seating behind me as far as possible. She is not even touching me good for me only.
I drove to the super market. I stopped the bike hoping that she will get down and get whatever is needed, but she never did it.
Ajith: are you planning to get down or not.
Paru : ah.
Ajith: you dum girl go and bring the groceries.
Paru: where.........here...
Ajith: then where the hell you will buy.
Paru: here everything will be costly and vegetables will not be fresh. I will tell you the route you go there.
Ajith: what will happen if you buy here.
Paru: I am not buying anything here. That's it.
Ajith: what the hell dammit. Tell the fucking route.
She guided me I went as she told. Suddenly she said to stop.
Ajith: what the hell now.
Paru: The market came.
I searched everywhere but I couldn't see any market. I gave her a look do I look like a fool.
She got down and went on a narrow path. I parked my bike and followed her. After a few minutes of walk, I saw a big market.
Paru: this is Mandi I and ma purchase here only if we had come a little earlier we would get fresh vegetables.
I saw her as a ghost. I went behind her. This place is full of noise and I didn't mention soo many people are moving. Every vendor is shouting. I was behind her not miss the track. She purchases a big bag first. I gave the money she gave me a look. I know she won't have any. I just shrugged.
She was purchasing carefully seeing every vegetable. O God She hell bargains much.
Paru: Anna tells the final rate. I will not give more than 50 rupees for carrots. Do you know their aunty called for 40 rupees and your selling for 70? It's better I will go to that aunty only.
Which aunty called her I didn't see nor hear at all.
Vendor: Akka takes it for 55 rupees even we don't want loss even you.
Paru: no 50. Or else I don't need you only keep.
Vendor: ok take it Akka. Anna how you live with her. If she bargains this much.
Paru: Anna that is his problem you weigh it.
Goddammit, I never saw this type of girl. If it's already afternoon I am just following her. She is struggling to carry a big bag.
Ajith: give I will carry.
Paru: it's ok I can manage. You never did this kind of thing right. After all, you are born with a golden spoon. If she only knows.
Paru: come let's go it's finished.
Ajith: thank God.
Paru: if you find any grocery shop stop there.
Ajith: I stopped first right why the hell now.
Paru: you just stop.
I did as she told , after all, women know what are all necessary for the house. She purchased some vessels and snacks.
I didn't stop anywhere and went to the house. I unlocked the door she carried all the things inside. I helped her by arranging things in the proper place. Finally, the kitchen looked stocked with all the requirements.
I was dam tired and hungry too. I didn't have anything. I took a water bottle for the fridge emptied it.
I went and sat on the sofa feeling tired. I don't know how I fell asleep.
After some time someone shook me vigorously. It was her.
Ajith: what NOW.
Paru: have food.
She placed food on the plate in front of me with water and juice. I didn't bother to wash even my hand and had the food. She was standing and looking at me.
Paru: do you want some more.
Ajith: yes...
She went to the kitchen and bought some more and served me. The taste was really incredible. I didn't have homemade food like this for a long time may be aging. After finishing I washed my plate and hand.
Ajith: did you had the food??
Paru: no I am not hungry.........I want a bed.
Ajith: come.
I took her to the room and pulled the trunk below and gave her two heavy bedsheets it was enough for her size I think so.
Ajith is it enough.
Paru: it's more than enough.
Parvati POV.
I didn't have anything from yesterday if you ask I am hungry yes I am starving but when I was cooking all the memories in the home came in mind and made me disturb. How ma used to cook for me whenever I go home. But here I must only cook it's not a complaint but I miss everything, my only intention is about ma will forgive me or not.
I served all that prepared to psycho. I was not in the mood to eat. After having everything he had the concern to ask whether I had eaten or not. Just great, he is not at all a human. Thank God he gave me these heavy blankets which are enough for me to sleep. Or else I will be deprived of sleep. Always ma scolds me for sleeping more. But here I can't even sleep. I sat on the sofa. There were few newspapers below I took them to read as I was going through I saw ads of employment.
I marked all of them with a pen. There where more jobs I will visit for everyone tomorrow. I made a list and copied down everything in a paper. By the time I was done it was evening. Even he went out a few minutes back when I was making a note. All my clothes are still are in the bag. I don't want to move them.
At night I prepared dinner and had little and slept in a corner of the living room using the blankets without pillow. Just praying tomorrow however please Shivji get me a job.
