“So since you resigned, do you stay at home all day, doing nothing?”
“Yeah, I already sent my application letter to some companies and I just hope one of them accepts me” Rita yawned.
“Hmmn, I'm sorry about everything that happened to you” Evelyn said empathically.
“Thank you Evelyn, I'm back to square one now”
“Since you are searching for another job, are you as well considering moving on because you lost both a relationship and a job” Evelyn began to tease.
“No Evelyn. I am done with love” Rita rolled her eyes.
“Done with love? What the heck is that?”
“Do not provoke me Evelyn!!” She warned by pointing a finger at her, reminding her of those days she badly wanted me to be in relationship and then Love messed me up.
“Fine, at least you need to forgive Finn and get this grudge off your chest” Evelyn urged her.
“And then the next minute, my nudes will be flying around the internet.. while his’ not there”
“No such thing is gonna happen because Finn took them down already”
“What?”
“I mean… he worked so hard to fight for you, he had someone take the pictures down and even destroy the Kikachat app, all for you. Not only did he do that, Charles is in the prison as we speak” Evelyn told her.
“Are you sure about all what you are saying?” She disbelieved even when she had wondered what went wrong with Kikachat.
“I'm serious, do you think Finn would just sit down there and do nothing?”
“Yeah, because he is coward and I don't think he truly loves me. What's with all this multi identies?”
“I truly love you Rita” Finn opened the door and walked in. He has been at the door, listening to their conversation. They all planned it.
“I didn't ask you to come in yet” Evelyn whispered.
Rita stomp up on her feet as soon as she sighted Finn. “I don't want to see you Finn and I don't want to talk to you. Oh, you really think some flowers and gifts can make me forgive you?”
“Not at all” He placed the presents aside, on the couch. “I want you to know that I regret everything, every single thing I did. I love you Rita, we have already come a long way to fall apart.. I swear, I almost cannot do without you, my brother can testify to that”
“Oh no, please don't make me feel like the bad person here” I crossed my arms, looking away from him.
“I know I deserve it. But can you please listen to me, I'll explain everything from the very beginning” Finn begged and Evelyn left them to be alone.
She rolled her eyes, ‘Get to it already”
“The love I had for you was love at first sight and it was true love, I had this strong feeling that made me feel you were mine, so I stalked you from Love Station down to Kikachat to real life when I met you at the company, I needed an instant way to get into your life without being strange, that's why I went through a Matchmaker “ He said.
“Why would you do such a thing Finn?”
“I regret everything too” Tears clouded his eyes.
“And the nudes; I wasn't after your body but I lusted and made you do things that got us into trouble”
“I lusted too” Rita muttered.
“But it doesn't matter anymore, Evelyn’s right; I destroyed all evidences Charles had against us and I destroyed him in particular, as we speak, he’s in the jail” He said but Rita didn't say anything.
Finn came closer and held her both hands, she gave in for him to interlink them with his.
“Please forgive me” Finn kissed his fingers and squeezed them lightly.
“What other secret are you not saying yet?” Rita asked him.
Finn took a deep breath and thought of what else he hasn't said yet.
“And you are right about me being a coward, Charles blackmailed me with the nudes, I sent him a whole lot of money and when he came back to demand for more, I told him to have you yesterday, that was why I had said that whatever action I must have taken is for both of us, I must have been very stupid” Finn confessed.
“Continue spelling out all the secrets!”
“Rita” Finn pulled her to his embrace. “I'm sorry for everything, please forgive me”
Rita hesitated not until Finn went on his knees, Evelyn and Adam came out if their hiding places and pleaded along with Finn.
“Please Rita, forgive him and take him back” They said.
This made me feel bad.
After a moment of silence and hesitation, Rita finally gasped and said; “Alright, I forgive you”
Finn rose her and embraced her really tight.
“I love you Rita, I love so you much”
“I do too, I love you too but I'm sincerely fed up of getting hurt by the person I love the most” I said but he shut me up with a quick kiss.
“It's high time we move on with our lives” Finn said
, sliding the ring she had return into her finger again.
