Author's pov
Dheeraj was tied up with ropes in a chair. He was wriggling and yelling to spare him but no one came forward to help him. Akhil and Jay were pissed off by Dheeraj's nonstop yelling. They were not doing anything to Dheeraj because they have Rudra's order to not harm Dheeraj. At least for now.
Akhil shouted at Dheeraj, " Will you just shut up?"
" Don't shout. You are still unharmed because of Rudra bhai. Otherwise, I would have sent you to hell already," Akhil added further.
Dheeraj shouted back with the same intensity, " Fuck your Rudra bhai! He is a bastard. He snatched away my rights from me."
Akhil and Jay didn't spare another glance at Dheeraj. They forwarded their legs to leave when Rudra entered. Dheeraj started sprouting hateful words the moment his eyes met Rudra's eyes.
Rudra dragged a chair in front of Dheeraj and sat on it crossing his legs. He observed Dheeraj for a few seconds who seemed fuming in rage.
Dheeraj mocked Rudra, " Are you here to torture me? Then, torture!! You and your father both are bastards. You only know how to destroy lives."
Rudra clenched his fists in anger but didn't say anything to Dheeraj. He took a deep breath because Dheeraj wasn't entirely at fault. His father messed up everything.
Rudra broke his silence," You know what I was happy when I found out that I have an elder brother."
Dheeraj looked at Rudra with so much shock as if Rudra has grown horns on his head. But, somehow he composed his shocked expression.
He mocked," Oh, really!"
" I felt sorry for your mother and about your childhood when I came to know about our father's misdeeds towards you. I was ready to accept you as my brother but when I remembered that you are the killer of my unborn child," Rudra paused for a few moments.
Dheeraj said laughing, " Do you think I am believing in all your emotional bullshits. I am happy that I have killed a Singh even before they could see the world."
Rudra closed his eyes recalling the death of his unborn child and Diya's teary eyes. He didn't forget how Diya blamed him for everything though it wasn't his fault. He felt his blood boiling because he knew that Dheeraj's eyes were on Diya.
" You didn't do the right thing by putting your eyes on my wife. For looking at my wife with dirty intentions and killing my child are enough reasons for killing you," Rudra couldn't tolerate Dheeraj anymore.
Dheeraj said angrily, " I want to snatch everything from you which was all my rights. And about your wife, she is my......."
Dheeraj couldn't complete his sentence when Rudra loaded all three bullets inside Dheeraj's head. Dheeraj was spot dead.
After killing Dheeraj, Rudra felt everything hollow. Though Dheeraj was a culprit, he also suffered because of Uday Pratap. Rudra is blaming Uday Pratap for everything.
Rudra stood up from his seat and called Akhil.
Akhil entered the room and saw Dheeraj's lifeless body. He didn't give any reaction because he was expecting it.
Rudra ordered with a heavy tone," Give him a proper funeral".
At Night
Diya's pov
I was standing in front of the main gate and waiting for Rudra. When I heard that someone tried to attack my father-in-law and Rudra saved him I became worried. Is Rudra ok? This question was giving me headaches. My father-in-law has returned home and also informed me that Rudra is ok. But I was still worried about Rudra. I was calling him continuously but he wasn't receiving my calls.
It's already 9 p.m. Where the hell is he?
I was startled to hear the car honking. When I looked at the main entrance I saw Rudra's car entering. I took a breath of relief. Finally, he is home.
His car stopped right in front of me. Getting off the car he smiled at me. I ran to him with desperate eyes and hugged him tightly.
" What are you doing here at this hour?" he questioned breaking the hug.
I replied meekly," I was waiting for you."
" I was worried for you," I added but in response, he just hummed.
Something was wrong with him. His facial expression was reflecting some kind of discomfort which I never saw in him before. He was upset about something.
I asked caressing his cheeks," What happened?"
" Nothing," He answered shortly and forwarded his legs to the house.
I just sighed. I didn't pressurize him to tell me what was bothering him. Let him open up to me willingly.
Author's pov
" Dheeraj Rayna is your brother!" Diya's mouth was wide open.
Rudra nodded his head, " Unfortunately".
Diya and Rudra were laying on the bed. Rudra was narrating everything to Diya. Diya couldn't believe that Dheeraj's eyes were on her. Her mind got hung the moment Rudra said that Dheeraj was trapping Abhishek so that he could marry Diya.
Diya placed her head on Rudra's chest, " Shouldn't we tell bhai about Dheeraj?"
" I can't believe how a police officer gets fooled by a mere technologist. I am glad that before Dheeraj could harm you I came to know about everything," Rudra took a breath of relief.
Diya defended her brother," Don't say anything about my brother. He isn't a fool. He was just carried away by emotions."
Rudra didn't argue because he was stuck with Dheeraj aka Shubham's thoughts. He didn't know if he did right by killing Shubham.
Diya was feeling pity and hatred both for Dheeraj. Pity for his miserable life and hatred for killing her child and having dirty intentions for her. Diya never liked Uday Pratap but her disgust in her increased to another level after hearing what he did to Dheeraj's mother. She wondered how could someone be so cruel to kill a human alive by burning!
Diya's eyes caught Rudra's exhausted face. She knew that he was disturbed about everything and he needed some comfort. Getting close to him she pulled his head into her chest.
" You need some comfort," Diya brushed his hair with her fingers.
Rudra smiled, " How did you know that I need some comfort?"
" Only you can't read me like an open book. I can also read you like an open book," Diya pecked his lips.
