Friendly Enemies Chapter 66

Cindy was suddenly drenched in fear as she stood there her gaze fixated on Daisy, with Ellen standing beside her Shockingly, Daisy only waved at her smilingly brightly, followed by Ellen. "Whaaaatt?" Cindy felt her eyes widen. Director Carlson had got to her and he had a worried and concerned expression. "What's going on Cindy? Are you okay?" He asked seeing the tense look and expression on her face. With a shiver, Cindy suddenly got back herself so she took back at director Carlson and forced out a smile. "Ha yes. I'm so sorry. Let's get back to the shoot," she stated. And despite how she was trying to regain her composure, she still had a panicked expression. What's more, she kept on glancing in Daisy's direction from time to time. Noticing this, director Carlson followed her gaze and his eyes rested on the vehicle a distance away. He was especially surprised to see Daisy standing there. He waved at her and Daisy waved back. Afterward, he turned to look at Cindy bewildered, not understanding why she became that tense when it is her best friend she was looking at all along. "What's wrong?" He asked worriedly. "It's Daisy over there. Your friend." He thought something he isn't aware of was up with her sight and she could not see clearly. So he thought to help her out with who was there. "Yeah yeah. There's no need for that. I know," she replied casually while giving him an awkward stare. Not understanding what was going on, Carlson cleared his throat. "Let's continue," he said. Cindy's eyes went back to Daisy who was now leaning against her car, her arms folded across her chest, a smile on her face. It was confusing cause Ellen was looking at her and not smiling. 'What's this? What's going on?' Cindy felt flustered as she was finding it difficult to understand a thing or whatever stunt Daisy or Ellen or both were pulling. In the end, she could only let out a light smile. Then she preceded with continuing the shoot. Cindy struck another pose but her eyes could not help but go to Daisy who still had a supportive smile on from that distance. Daisy raised up her hand and gave her a thumb up making Cindy flush in astonishment. "Okay, I just have to get through the shoot," Cindy exhaled. Soon the photo shoot was over and while a few staff and attendants huddled over to Cindy, Daisy and Ellen drew closer. As Daisy approached, Cindy sat there with a straight face letting them take off the accessories and adornments she had used for the commercial. Now she felt a little freer but Daisy standing just there was not making her feel any form of relief but tension. The staff and other actors and colleagues around greeted Daisy, expressing their concerns; some were genuine while some were not. Anyways, Cindy sat still by the side, feeling like there was something hooking down on her throat while she listened to the long and various greetings. Her eyes suddenly met with Ellen's who gave her a smug smile and Cindy glared sharply at her, with bitter and hate-filled eyes. 'Bitch! I swear I'll kill you!' But Cindy could only seeth that in her mind. Slowly the crowd around them dispersed, giving the friends some privacy. "Hey, babes. How was your shoot? I can bet you had fun," Daisy stated excitedly. Cindy only felt down and drained. She hated how calm and cunning Daisy was. It'll be better if they fight outrightly than Daisy being this way. Cindy stared at Daisy who was looking down at her with a smile. She could not help but scoff lightly and drop her head. "You seem tired. Are you fine?" Daisy asked the tune of her voice suddenly changing to that of concern. Hearing this, Cindy raised her head and her eyes met with Daisy's. She was slightly stunned as she stared at her trying to see any form of callousness or pretense but there was nothing. Daisy seemed really concerned about her. Her pretty eyes widened slightly as she lowered herself to sit beside Cindy. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" Daisy asked. Her voice was full of concern and worry. "Are you hungry?" Daisy probed further. "Let's go eat something in the restaurant across the road." Daisy extended her arms and pulled Cindy into a hug. This time, Cindy realized Daisy knew nothing yet. Her eyes went to Ellen and Ellen simply chuckled lowly, scoffed then looked away. Immediately, Cindy looked back at Daisy. "Why are you here? You should be in the hospital.." "Haa that?" Daisy laughed. "I feel much better now so I decided to come," she said excitedly. "I just wanted to leave that place and also Ellen suggested we come to see you." Cindy felt her heart skipped a bit when she heard that. She looked back up to stare at Ellen who was looking at her with a smug expression, her brows raised. Whatsoever of her hideous actions were what she could not bear to come out in the open. She could not afford to get caught or be exposed. She just wanted to be a devilish pest who would ruin her friend. That is why she had been so scared Daisy had found out through Ellen. "As you can see, I'm fine," Daisy stated happily while grinning from ear to ear as she flexed her arms like she was trying to prove that she was actually strong now. Cindy let out a smile following that. Seeing she has not been caught, she immediately adjusted and began to flow pretty well. She would handle Ellen later. Ellen probably wants something so she would handle her. Cindy then pulled Daisy into a hug then sighed. "I'm glad you're way better now," she said. Even though deep down, she felt disappointed. This is the same person who is supposed to have gone down the earth. The plan was to make Diasy into a miserable lunatic. Daisy suddenly remembered something, so she withdrew from the hug. "How is Rose? How has she been? How is she currently doing?" Daisy asked her a series of questions her face suddenly filled with worry. "Rose is actually doing better now. Like really fine," Cindy answered with a bright smile. "I'm so sorry I've not been able to see her or come see her. I'm so sorry I could not," Daisy began to apologize and Cindy could only console her so she patted her gently on her shoulder. "Come on. You yourself weren't fine. I'm sorry I could not come to see you often." "What are you saying?" Daisy shook her head at Cindy and the latter shrugged. "You had to stay with Rose. I know that." "And you too stop being sorry okay," Cindy raised her brows playfully at her. "I really want to see her," Daisy exhaled. "And that's cool. I mean," Cindy chuckled. "Let's get food over there first 'cause I'm famished right now, then we go over to Rose." "Alright great," Daisy was happy with the arrangement so Cindy turned to look at Ellen. "You cool with that too?" She asked naturally and the other nodded with a smile. "Sure!" "Daisy you sure you're strong enough for this?" Cindy asked concernedly. "Ha stop it," Daisy laughed. "I can come on. Let's go!" Following that, the three got ready to leave the set. Since the restaurant is just opposite the industry, there was no need for them to go in their cars. At the restaurant, it felt as though the trio had suddenly stolen the floor. People kept glancing at them from time to time, as they stepped through the entrance. Especially as Daisy and Cindy are well-known celebrities. The three took a table by the window and were promptly attended to by staff. Daisy, Cindy, and Ellen went through the menu and made their choices. Once their orders were placed, adorning the table with delectable dishes, Daisy suddenly let out a sigh. "What's that?" Cindy glanced at her as she picked up her fork ready to dig in. "I suddenly feel we should have first gone to Rose, then come here with her. Or have these at her place. Feels unfair that she's not here," Daisy said and Cindy exhaled. "We will all come here when she's discharged," Cindy stated and Daisy nodded. Suddenly, Ellen rose to her. "I'm coming, guys. I need to go to the restroom." Following that, she excused herself, leaving just Cindy and Daisy. Cindy watched her leave and in less than two minutes later, she leaned over to Daisy. "You know what? I suddenly feel like a little adventure myself. An adventure to the restroom." The two then laughed and with a wink, Cindy excused herself leaving Daisy who seemed oblivious to whatever was going on. Cindy soon caught up with Ellen in the restroom and crossed her, stopping her. Then grabbing her arm, she dragged her to a corner of the washroom. "What are you doing? What are you up to?!" Cindy questioned while spitting fire through her eyes. Ellen, suddenly faced with this busted out laughing and this only piqued Cindy's anger. "And what exactly is funny?" Cindy was livid. "Oh well, I never knew you had this side of you when you had your gown rolled up in the washroom yesterday with your best friend's boyfriend pounding you from behind," Ellen mocked. Cindy's face flushed in shame and her temperament lowered. Her angry facade was decapitated immediately. Cindy sighed and placed her hand over her forehead. She could feel a headache coming. Following that, she lowered her hand and looked at Ellen, with gentle eyes this time. "What do you want Ellen?" She asked in a whisper and Ellen chuckled. "At least, you sound less of an animal now," she mocked. Cindy sighed, shut her eyes, and opened them back. No matter how much she felt insulated by all these, what could she do? Ellen's eyes gleamed with excitement, seemingly enjoying Cindy's reaction. "I could just go tell her now," she said and Cindy's eyes widened slightly. Next, she scoffed. "What evidence do you have?" "You have no evidence!" Cindy spat. Ellen chuckled at that. "Or really?" "How sure are you?" "How sure are you that I have no evidence? Well, I guess I'd just go meet her now," Ellen said then made to leave but Cindy blocked her again. "Okay okay, you know what? Just tell me what you want," she sighed. Ellen let out a mischievous smile when she heard this. "Oh great," she chuckled. "What I want is simple. You do what I want." "What?" Cindy eyed her. "Oh I said you do what I want," Ellen smiled.
