“I can’t believe this,” Liara exclaimed in a pissed tone. Theodore raised his eyebrow, wondering who was the reason behind his mate’s sour mood. “The moment those Smith’s learned that my middle name is Haysbert. They flew from here without even letting me check on Ethlyn for the one last time.”
“Though Doctor Rohit had checked on her before giving her a discharge, still….” Dotty brought water for Liara.
“Thank you, Dotty.”
“You’re welcome, Lee! You shouldn’t be taking stressed. It’s not good for both mother and child.” She responded in her robotic tone after she checked Liara’s blood pressure by placing the index and middle finger of her hand on the inner wrist of Liara’s arm, just below the base of the thumb.
“Sure! Mom.” Liara agreed and looked at Theodore, who was definitely enjoying this. “I think that her family members are hiding the truth about Rose from Ethlyn. And by observing the expression of Ethlyn’s parents, I’m sure that they know about Rose.”
“Seriously, Lia? Do you think that we have that much time to poke our noses into their life? Why don’t you inform all this to Calvin? It will be his decision what he had to do and what not?” Theodore offered and immediately regretted speaking that because his mate was again fuming in anger.
And he would blame her pregnancy hormones for that. By now, their pup was ten days old, and with each passing day, Liara's mood swings were getting worst. She used to bring her all stress and anger from work and used to pour all her frustration on poor Theodore.
“To be honest, I have a lot of time to poke my nose in other life. Do you know why? Because you don’t have time for me at all.” Liara pointed out and then glared at his laptop. “I so want to destroy that little tiny box and then throw it in the dustbin.”
“Ooh! Calm down, my violence queen,” Theodore said, closing the laptop without wasting a second. Keeping it aside, he reached for the couch where Liara was. “Do you need something?” He asked softly, caressing her nape, which was one of her sweet spots.
“I’m acting like clingy mate, right?” Liara asked in a low tone. “I want all your attention. ALL.” Theodore smiled and leaned toward her to kiss her passionately.
“I love this side of yours,” Theodore whispered against her lips after breaking the kiss. “I was thinking of taking you shopping. What do you say?” He suggested.
“Not a big fan of shopping, but a big yes to everything if you’re by my side.” Liara’s mood immediately changed.
“Come on!! Let’s wear something casual.”
“And twinning?” Liara suggested. “We have never done that before.” She added in excitement.
“Okay!” Theodore smiled, watching her smiling ear to ear. ‘Anything for you, Love.’ He wanted to say that these things look good on the teenager, but adults like them but not a word escaped his mouth.
“Careful on the stairs,” Theodore said, following her when she ran toward their bedroom. Liara was going to choose clothes for both of them.
“I had purchased these with the thought of twinning someday,” Liara said, taking out two new pairs of white sneakers. “White t-shirt, black jeans, and white sneakers. What do you say?” She asked in excitement.
“Perfect,” Theodore responded. “Keep your hairstyle like… half-bun.” He contributed his efforts as well so that she wouldn’t get upset.
“Okay. Anything else?”
“Yes. Don’t apply red lipstick.” Liara grinned and nodded her head.
“I don’t know what I have to buy,” Liara said while getting ready.
“Well, I have something in mind, like a pregnancy pillow, comfortable footwear, some dresses, and a couple of other things that I did research on.” Liara’s heart fluttered hearing this answer.
