He stressed dad's words. Rose wanted to shout and let him know that he was not her father. However, her mother's smile came in front of her. She said, "I am sure whatever he will offer you won't be able to be rejected." She too deepened when she said reject. Hope that he will not agree. But Ash ignored her and looked at John. "Tell me your amazing condition that your daughter is babbling about." Ash asked. Rose looked at Mr. Khan helplessly. But he also ignored her. John said, "If you marry my daughter we will collaborate with your company. And obviously, you will get a share from me. Let's not forget the benefits you will get by this marriage." Therefore, the groom was Ash. But the question is why? What did he want? Rose knew he wanted their shares or maybe their lives. So why did he make this plan? Rose looked at John for the answer but could not find any. Mr. Khan said, "This is a ridiculous condition. I mean if they can't live together then they can get a divorce." "No. They can't." John said. Rose opened her mouth to decline but closed it as soon as she remembered her mother's face. Ash said, "I agree." John said, "That's like my boy. So we will announce your date of marriage today." Mr. Khan said, "Please excuse us." He looked at Ash and indicated to go with him. They went. Rose was in a daze about what just happened. John said, "Come. Dance with me." Rose looked at him. She could not believe he said that. Rose said, "I will starve for three days rather than dance with you." John smiled and said, “If you don't, my angry little bird, then I will torture your mother." Rose felt disgusted by it but nodded. He brimmed and offered his hand. Rose took it and they went on the dance floor. They started to dance. It was a soothing song with a slow pace. Rose looked at the monster in front of her. She asked, "What is your plan?" "Nothing. I want you to marry him." John said. "Don't lie. You already know that I have to work for you. So what is the point in hiding it?" John smiled and said, “I will tell you about your wedding. It will be my wedding gift to you." Rose knew he was planning something big. Rose nodded and said, "I will agree as long as you keep your promise not to hurt my family." "I will." Then they danced more when Ash came. He said, "May I cut in. I wanted to talk with my fiance. I haven't spoken with her for so long that I almost forget who she is." Rose knew what the last sentence meant. She could not look at him. John said, "By all means. She is yours after all. It saddens my heart that when I met my daughter I already have to send her away." Rose gritted her teeth. She knew what those hidden meanings were. John put her hand on Ash's hands. The moment she touched his hand the electricity ran down her spine. She felt like he was at home. Ash came near her and held her waist. He pulled her close. Rose dumped into his chest. Rose immediately moved back and said, "Sorry." "Sorry for what?" Ash asked. Rose looked at him. The cut on his face was visible. Rose wanted to touch it but the music started and ash moved away from her. Rose looked at the man she loved and she knew she lost him. Even when his breath fell on her face, she knew they were miles apart. And they could never be together ever again. Ash asked, "Did you forget why you are sorry or it is your habit of yours to say sorry?" Rose felt the coldness in his voice. She heard it once when he was talking with his stepmother. With Alina, it was harsh but not cold. The coldness that will freeze your bloodstream. Rose said, "What I mean is that I am sorry for dumping on you." And I was sorry for hurting you. I am sorry for not trusting you. I am sorry for betraying you. I am sorry for everything. Ash said, "Apologies accepted. But it hurts a little as the hole in my heart still hasn't healed." It had a double standard meaning. Rose bit her lower lip and said, "I am sorry." "Love, your sorry won't make dead people alive. Will it?" Rose looked at him. She was confused about it. Who died? She shot only one person but this one bullet changed all the lives of their family and friends.
