Earth's Alpha Prime Chapter 330

Within the Inventory Plane, Jay traveled at an astonishing 30 kilometers per second (18.6 miles/sec), equivalent to Mach 87—over three times faster than his peak speed using Pseudo-Speed Energy. Such speeds were typically the domain of Tier-9 individuals. For someone like Zeix, still at Tier-3, to achieve this showcased just how extraordinary║PHANTOM INVENTORY║truly was. What made this mode of travel even more impressive was its efficiency. Moving within the Inventory Plane consumed no stamina, causing no exhaustion. It was the perfect travel method—fast, effortless, and sustainable. Jay recalled how Zeix had managed to send Urzo's Possession Contracts across more than half the 7th Trial Continent with ease. Now, with firsthand experience of the Inventory Plane, that feat felt perfectly natural. In just a few minutes, Jay traversed thousands of kilometers, effortlessly passing several Trial Regions before exiting the Inventory Plane. Upon returning to reality, he found himself suspended in the air. In the Phantom Form, even gravity had no hold on him, negating the need for abilities like Centauri Kavach's Starborne Horizon to fly. However, outside the Inventory Plane, his movement speed returned to normal, and the mind-boggling speeds were no longer achievable. While in Phantom Form, Jay noticed another aspect —he was completely detached from physical sensations. He felt neither the rush of wind nor the warmth of light, and all his senses were muted. It was a disorienting yet fascinating experience. Spotting a Tier-3 Low-Phase monster nearby, Jay instinctively prepared to strike it down. But he quickly reminded himself of the limitations of Phantom Form—his attacks wouldn't affect reality. Additionally, exiting Phantom Form came with a cooldown period ten times the duration of its use. Having already spent eight minutes in the form, exiting now would prevent him from reusing it for 80 minutes. Jay remained in Phantom Form, deciding it wasn't worth exiting just to deal with a Tier-3 monster. As he prepared to leave, a thought crossed his mind. While his abilities like Arcane Element, Weapon, and Martial Aura couldn't interact with reality in Phantom Form, there was one thing he hadn't tested yet. He summoned the Glaive, willing the tattoo etched on his body to take physical form. In an instant, the Origin Glaive appeared, hovering before him, its silver blades gleaming under the light. Jay's eyes lit up—his suspicion had been correct. The Origin Glaive was unaffected by his Phantom Form and could still interact with reality. To confirm this, he mentally commanded the weapon. It moved on its own, flying toward the nearby Tier-3 monster and killing it in a single, precise strike. A smile crept onto Jay's face as he realized the implications. Even while invulnerable in Phantom Form, he could still attack through the Origin Glaive. The potential of such a combination was terrifying. Of course, he recognized its current limits. The weapon could only move at speeds sufficient to deal with peak Tier-4 monsters. Anything beyond that would be out of reach—for now. However, Jay wasn't concerned. As the Glaive advances to higher grades, its capabilities would naturally grow. Turning his gaze toward the direction of the 6th Trial Continent, Jay had MJ keep track of the distances. The Tournament Island, situated at the center of the 7th Trial Continent, was 15,810 kilometers (9,824 miles) from the border of the 6th and 7th Continents at its shortest point. In the eight minutes he had spent traveling in Phantom Form, Jay had already covered over three-fourths of that distance. From his current position, it would take him no more than two minutes to cross the border. From there, traveling across the entire 5th and 6th Continents to reach the 4th Continent, where Urzo had fled, would require another 36 minutes. However, the problem lay in locating Urzo once he arrived. Without a way to pinpoint Urzo's position and considering the cooldown of Phantom Form—eight hours after use—Jay decided to postpone the pursuit until after the tournament. His thoughts turned to the other ability he had yet to test:║PHANTOM LOCK║. Unlike the process of entering the Inventory Plane, which required him to assume his Phantom Form, this ability did not demand him to remain intangible. By manifesting a portion of his personal Inventory Space into reality, he could immobilize a target and restrict their movements. Zeix had used this skill to deal with enemies stronger than himself. However, the ability had a significant drawback—it consumed Spirit Energy at an extremely high rate, making it impractical to maintain for long durations. Jay scanned his surroundings, hoping to find a monster to test║PHANTOM LOCK║. Though he found none nearby, his gaze settled on a towering Obelisk looming on the horizon. A peculiar idea struck him—he could conquer the Obelisk while testing both║PHANTOM LOCK║ and the abilities of his other Unique Talent,║NEUTRALIZER║. Jay knew he would have to exit Phantom Form after reaching the Obelisk, which meant triggering a cooldown of about an hour and a half. However, he calculated that this would leave him with ample time to reactivate the ability and return to the Tournament Island before Round-2 began. With a plan forming in his mind, Jay re-entered the Inventory Plane, zipping through the boundless space at unimaginable speeds. It didn't take long for him to reach the imposing structure that dominated the landscape. The revamped version of Volume 1 is now live on Kindle.
