The dean of Dongfang Academy appeared to be a man in his forties, wearing gold-rimmed glasses that gave him a gentle appearance.
Despite his gentle demeanor, no one dared to underestimate him.
This was because he held the distinction of being one of the few Level 3 Evolvers in Jinling City.
As the dean listened to the Vice Principal’s words, his countenance shifted from calm to anger.

“Sir, why are you here?”

“Sir, it’s true that I mishandled this situation, but I’m committed to providing a satisfactory explanation.”
The dean hurriedly said.
He aspired to make amends, if not win Loong Chen over, then at least avoid making him an adversary.
“Fann Wei, you’ve been engaged in wrongdoing within the Academy for so long, yet you dare to provoke someone of this caliber. Your fate is well deserved.”
“Today, I shall administer punishment in the name of Dongfang Academy. Execute him immediately as a warning to others!”
The dean spoke righteously.
Fann Wei, who had narrowly escaped Loong Chen’s clutches, had his expression shift abruptly upon hearing the dean’s words.
Anxious, he cast an imploring gaze at his uncle.
The Vice Principal furrowed his brows, discerning from the dean’s demeanor that this young man likely had a formidable background.
The dean appeared genuinely infuriated.
Yet, he couldn’t stand by and allow his nephew to meet his demise before his eyes, forcing him to speak.
“Dean, Fann Wei is indeed guilty, but his transgression doesn’t warrant death. I implore you to show mercy.”
Before Vice Principal could complete his plea, the dean curtly interrupted him.
“Faan Tianxing, you can’t evade responsibility either. You permitted your nephew to commit wrongdoing within the Academy. He has committed a grave offense. Henceforth, I hereby revoke your position as Vice Principal!”
A shadow descended over Vice Principal Faan Tianxing’s countenance.
He had never expected that the dean wouldn’t merely disregard his request but would also terminate his role.
“Dean, I believe you lack the authority to dismiss me, do you not?”
Faan Tianxing retorted coldly. Since the dean failed to accord him respect, he had no intention of reciprocating.
His appointment had been authorized by the Dongfang Academy’s central office, and the dean lacked the power to dismiss him.
“I will promptly report this matter to headquarters. Your dismissal is only a matter of time.”
The dean snorted coldly.
Although the dean didn’t have the authority to be dismissed, with his relationship with the Dongfang Academy, it was easy for him to dismiss Vice Principal.
When Faan Tianxing heard this, his face darkened to the extreme, because the dean had to hold him accountable.

Faan Tianxing spoke, bowing repeatedly before Loong Chen.
He could accept his own death, even Fann Wei’s, but the Faan family must endure. To do otherwise would be a betrayal of their ancestors’ endeavors.
A smile appeared on Loong Chen’s face upon observing Faan Tianxing’s response.

Loong Chen gestured for Faan Tianxing to rise with a wave of his hand.
