*Ajay Mehra Pov*
I waited for her to say something else but she didn’t. I took a deep breath and started turning the knob, but stopped hearing her call me again “Ajay!”
“What is it Jiya?” I asked her closing my eyes.
“Don’t leave me!” she replied in a whisper, and I can’t believe I even heard her.
“What?” I asked her in shock losing the grip on my bag but didn’t turn back.
“Don’t leave me, Ajay.” she said, and I turned back rushing towards her.
She is still sitting on the couch and stared at me when I stood completely near her. My hands shook, but I made them hold her face properly.
“Why?” I asked her bending to be on her eye level taking a deep breath.
“I love you.” she replied, and I saw tears forming in her eyes.
“You idiot.” I said crashing my lips on her and kissed her with all my effort to tell her how much I missed doing this.
She kissed me back, pulling me on her and continued to do it until we suddenly fell on the floor.
We both laughed with tears falling from our eyes backing away and then hugged each other tightly not giving the other a chance to move away.
“I love you so much Jiya.” I said pestering the kisses all over her face.
“I love you too.” She said closing her eyes.
“God! Do you have any idea how much sadness I felt these two weeks?” I asked her but didn’t stop the kisses.
“I was trying to make you jealous.” She said frowning.
“You don’t have to try anything Jiya because I am always jealous in your matter.” I said laughing, and she hit my shoulder.
“I missed this.” I said, planting my lips again on her, and we kissed just like I thought I would when I get a chance like there is no tomorrow.
“So you will not give me divorce right?” she asked when we both released each other for air.
“I would have never even thought about it if it isn’t for you. You are sure right?” I asked her after a few minutes.
She glared at me and got up from the floor making me frown. She just turned away, holding my luggage and walked inside our room.
I too stood up and went inside the room to see her throwing my clothes outside the bag and made a pile of them.
“If you ever ask me whether I am sure or not, then I will burn your clothes.” she said glaring me.
“When did you realize that you love me?” I asked her smiling at her.
“Last month.” She replied walking outside the room to switch off the lights while I sat on the bed in stun.
“What? Last month? Then why didn’t you tell me before?” I asked her shocked.
“Well, if I had, then the great practical guru would have given me another practical answer, so I waited for your fight regarding me outside and not through hiding it from me.” She replied shrugging and closed the door.
“You were always fighting for me, Ajay. Maybe not in words but your actions always told what you actually want. If the before examples are not enough, then the last hug you gave pulling my life away is perfect.” She added as I tried to come to the terms.
“If you still have any doubts, then check your theory.” She said walking near me and placed my hand over her heartbeat.
“It is beating like that for you and only you.” She said, and I pulled her immediately on me hugging her tightly.
“Mr.Mehra!” she said after a few minutes.
“Yes, Mrs.Mehra?” I asked, brushing her hair.
“Make love to me.” she replied, and I coughed hearing her words.
“What a lucky girl I am! I am the one who always throws myself at my husband while he looks at me like I am from another planet.” she shouted at me and moved away.
I followed her and helped her removing the hangings while she continued to glare at me through the mirror.
“My wife is looking sexy.” I said, kissing her cheek.
She sighed and said, “But there is no use because my dear husband is such a tube light.”
I chuckled and started opening her gown using the zipper. She gazed into my eyes as I stared back at her reflection.
She got outside the gown, and I lifted her into my arms, but we didn’t miss the eye contact.
“I love you.” I said, placing her on the bed.
“Lucky me.” She said smirking.
I leaned on to her and kissed her while she tugged me onto her. I devoured her would be an understatement and hugged her tightly just like that with a big smile on my face.
She is mine! I thought, and we both drifted off into sleep.
*Jiya Pov*
I opened my eyes with a smile and find myself alone on the bed. I frowned and sat up to see him packing all the clothes I threw on the floor inside the bag.
“What the hell Ajay? How dare you choose to leave me after everything? I will kill you right now.” I shouted and got down from the bed holding the blanket to me.
“Woah, woah! Hold on dear wife and look around.” He said holding my shoulders.
Then I glanced at the bags to see that he packed even my clothes. I sighed in relief and asked, “Are we shifting to your parents’ place?”
“No!” he replied.
“Then?” I asked him frowning.
“We are going for the honeymoon.” He replied.
“Honeymoon? After all these years of marriage?” I asked him shocked.
“We are young lovers Jiya. Don’t say things like that now go and get ready.” He replied, rushing me inside the washroom.
I got ready and walked outside to see him covering the entire house with clothes. We both walked outside handing over the flat to the owner and settled inside the car.
“Then what about the office?” I asked him when we reached the airport.
“Shh... you shouldn’t talk about the office anymore. You don’t have any job in your hands right now.” He replied, and I frowned until we sat inside the flight.
“Then who is working as a secretary here from now on?” I asked him when the flight took off.
“I already hired someone.” He replied.
I frowned and looked outside not liking the fact that I will not work for him anymore. He pulled me towards him holding my shoulder, but I didn't turn towards him.
“We will be off to some other city and develop another branch, and I want you with me always. You are my secretary, and you will be always until you want to resign yourself.” he whispered, and I grinned hearing that.
“Thank you lovely husband.” I said, pulling his cheek.
“By the way where are we going exactly and for how many days?” I asked him as I forgot to even look at the plane destination or anything with my thoughts in the mind.
“We are going to Italy, and I am going to learn cooking there just for you.” He replied smiling.
“We will see whether I will allow you to even step outside the hotel room.” I said, smirking and looked away seeing his shock expression.
“Jiya! You will really kill me one day.” He whispered and I laughed already knowing what look, he must be giving me now.
“Let’s marry again.” he whispered after some time.
“No!” I said, shaking my head.
“When we first married, I was completely present and had the complete experience. I don’t want to do it again as I know no matter what, we will live with each other so it doesn’t matter, we will marry again or not.” I explained, and he nodded smiling.
I snuggled into his chest and drifted off into sleep excited for the honeymoon and for the remaining part of the life.
