Don't Leave Me #2 Chapter 25

*Ajay Pov* I woke up hearing a slight groan and looked up to see Jiya moving a little while gulping for air. I walked outside her room and rushed towards the kitchen and saw everyone sitting down at the table. “You are fired.” I said, looking at Ms.Rose. “Sir... sir I didn’t know.” She stuttered. “It doesn’t matter, she is my wife or not. But you should not do that kind of stunt at all.” I said in a stern voice. “Ms.Rose! You can leave, and we will talk about this later.” Dad said, and she nodded walking away with her friends. “You can also leave, Mr.Raj.” Dad said. “I would like to stay for her, Sir.” He said. “But...” Dad started to say. “He is her friend, Dad. She may need him.” I said, and he nodded. Her parents just stayed stunned and her father slowly said, “I am glad you got to know it finally regarding what you did.” “You know?” Jiya’s Mother asked. “Yes! She called me when she was in hospital and made me promise not to tell anyone.” He replied, and I frowned. “You know about Sahil from way before?” Aunty asked. “Yes! I know everything, and I believed her words without a doubt.” He replied sighing. “So that is how you both already planned the shifting even before the court gave the judgement. But why didn’t you tell me?” She asked frowning. “When should I inform you? You didn’t leave her alone bugging her to get Sahil released. I can’t fault you because I was also wrong with her for all these years.” He replied and I just stood stunned. “Oh no!” She whispered and held her face in her hands. “Mom! She needs some food and water and also give me the tablets to give her.” I said looking at her. She waved at Kaki and when Kaki went inside the kitchen to put the food, she walked towards me. She slapped my cheek so hard that I felt the resound in the room. I closed my eyes and looked down. “You are not my Son at all. You did all this to a girl even after you know what happened to your sister?” She asked in disgust. “I know, I am wrong Mom, and nothing will make my wrong doing right.” I replied still looking down. “Our grandchild is dead and that is just due to you. Did you see how broken, she is?” She asked. “Yes, Mom! I am a criminal, and I will bear that till my last breath. What I want is to get her out of this depression. It is not good for her.” I replied. “Durga must be hating you for doing this to a girl and that too to her best friend.” Dad said, and we all turned to look at him in shock. “Best friend?” I asked him frowning. “Yes! Jiya and Durga are best friends, and I met her way before in Palghar. Durga loved Jiya with her whole heart.” He replied, and I saw the disappointing look on his face. “Why didn’t you tell me?” Mom asked him. “She didn’t want anyone to know.” He replied. “I will go and give her food.” I said, taking the tray still shocked with another news. When I walked inside I saw that she got up and is looking around. I sat before her and took a bite of food placing it near her mouth. “Get out of my room.” She said and coughed. I took the water glass and pressed it near her lips. She drank it and then started rising up from the bed. “Eat!” I said, putting the bite near her mouth. “I would rather drink poison.” She said, pushing my hand away. “Please, eat.” I pleaded her, and she did by her own. I sat back and kept quiet until she finished the food, then took the tablets. She closed her eyes for a second and then opened them. Without saying a word she stood up and walked toward the cupboard and started packing her clothes. “What are you doing? You need to take a rest.” I said, walking near her. “I will but after I go away from here.” She said and finished packing within a few minutes. “Where will you go Jiya?” I asked, holding her hand. “I already searched a flat for me two weeks back.” She replied after a few minutes. She walked outside the room, and I followed her pleading that she doesn’t leave. Everyone walked near the living room hearing my words. “Thanks for taking care of me Madam. I am leaving.” She said. “Jiya! Stay here with us. You shouldn’t go like this.” Mom said, looking at her. “I will be fine.” She said and started walking away while Raj took her bags. I held her hand and pulled her to me making her glare at me. I released her hand and held her face in my hands saying, “I will beg for forgiveness till my last breath. Please don’t leave me Jiya.” “I don’t care about your apology. I don’t love you.” She said, shaking her head. “But I love you very much Jiya. And I am not asking you to love me back because I know I don’t deserve it.” I said in a pleading tone. “You may be different from him, but you are similar.” She spatted the words, and I stumbled back. “You are DJ.” I stated. “Yes! I am the one that sent you that recording related to her call. I thought I was sending it to your father, but I guess you got it.” She said, and Dad frowned. “Then when you told me the truth, I already know you wanted some evidence so before entering the house, I attached a small camera to the door. I know you don’t know about your Uncle, so I did it to have some extra evidence.” She added. “How can you be named as DJ?” Dad asked her. “In the beginning when I first met her, she thought my name was Diya. She said even you considered the same, so she put the nickname DJ as Diya Jiya. Like I gave her a nickname B for Bhabhi.” She replied. “You gave Durga her justice.” I said again holding her hand. “No! I didn’t because you did with your revenge.” She said fuming. “I can’t live without you Jiya, and I know that from the day, I told you the truth. I don’t know how to say it and just asked you to stay with me, but when you didn’t accept I brought this job contract.” I said, and she sighed. “I don’t want to be with you. After these six months of job contract, I will run away that you can’t even know where I am living.” She said and was about to turn away. “I will die without you Jiya. Don’t leave me!” I said with tears in my eyes. “So? Do I look like I care?” She asked. “I hate you, Mr.Mehra. I hate you so much that I wish you are dead. I wish I never see you again in my life. I hate you that much.” She spatted and I fell on my knees. She turned and took off along with her parents and Raj. I held my head in my hands and shouted “Don’t leave me Jiya.” “I will die, Jiya. Don’t leave me!” I shouted and shouted. “Ajay!” Mom said, placing her hand on my shoulder. “Mom! Ask her to come back. I can’t live without her Mom. I don’t care whether she hates me because I am a criminal Mom.” I said crying. “Shh...” She said. “I need to die Mom. I killed my child. I need to die Mom.” I chanted. “No! Jiya needs you.” She said crying herself. “She doesn’t deserve a criminal like me, Mom. She doesn’t deserve me. She will be happy without me.” I said, shaking my head and got up. “She doesn’t need me, but I need her. I need her so much. How could I do this to her Mom? She was right. I am just like Sahil. I did to Jiya what Sahil did to Durga. Durga would have felt ashamed if she was here Mom. How could I do this to her?” I asked myself and turned away. I walked towards my room and shut the door. I leaned on it and sat on the floor with her words ringing in my ears. “I hate you so much that I wish you are dead”. I too wish the same Jiya. I too wish I was dead.
