Divorcing My Cold Hearted Celebrity Husband. Chapter 11

"They found us," I whispered as my eyes turned back to Dave. At the same time, I reacted like a kid who had stolen candies and was about to get caught. On the other hand, he remained calm and still like a freaking rock. How in the world is he so calm? The moment the question arises in my mind, another voice interrupts, "Ele." My whole body froze in place; I stared at Dave, who had a blank expression on his face. I clenched my jaw, controlling my desire to shout at him. "What in the world are you trying to do?" I asked with my clenched jaws preventing this urge to hit him so hard. Before this wish could shape into reality, again that same voice spoke out my name, this time clearer, and louder. My eyes widened, and thinking of how to escape, I held his hand. I tried to crawl to the other side with him, but he sat there. I tried to pull him to my side, but he did not budge an inch. I kept repeating his name when a cold sensation made me squeal. I gasped, taking in as much air as possible. Rubbing my eyes, I tried to look around, at myself. "Finally, the sleeping beauty woke up," Caroline’s voice fell into my ear. I blinked as I focused on her. She stood beside the bed, carrying a glass which was now empty. I again looked at myself, realizing that the water glass had was now on me. She splashed water on me. Why? I looked at her with the same confusion when she waved her hand, "Oh, please stop. Don’t give me that look." She walked across the bed, sitting on the edge of it. She looked at me for a moment, then shook her head, "Don’t tell me you don’t remember what happened last night." I pushed my hair from my face, trying to regain the last night’s memories. The message. The Kiss, and then the reporter almost caught us. Everything started to make sense. Last night, before those reporters could catch us, Caroline came in time and they ran away. Fortunately, Caroline did not ask after she saw Dave, but I could see questions lingering in her eyes, like now. "What was he doing here last night?" Caroline shot her question without any hesitation. I took a deep breath, knowing that for hours we would have to be seated for this conversation. Not that I did not like it, but doing all this while sitting in the wet clothes. I tried to get out of bed when Caroline tucked at my sleeves, "Oh, you are not moving before telling me all the details, lady." I rolled my eyes at her and got out of her grip while I replied, "We will talk, but let me get out of these wet clothes, will you?" Her eyes widened as she looked me up and down, realizing her mistake. She stopped her bickering. After I got out of those clothes, we sat on the kitchen shelf with some coffee. With this, a never-ending conversation started. I don’t know how much time we took, but in the last, the conversation ended with a satisfied and thrilled Caroline. Her jaw almost dropped when I disclosed the kiss part. She could not believe this drastic change in him, and truth to be told, neither can I. Moreover, after she got off to her work, I too started working on my current novel. Don’t mistake me for a veteran author; just that every novel of mine was left incomplete. Every reason a person can think of has been used to stall or procrastinate the updates of And finally, this one seemed to have some hope. The plot is similar to mine, but in this, the characters are a little different. The Male lead seemed to be less constricted and more sensitive, which is the total opposite of Dave, while the female lead is strong. She can handle and bear everything and anything, but not disrespect. She is my ideal, and I do things that I wanted to do, but the situation forces me to put my head down and respect in the ground. I was still at the first act where the main leads have met and the spark is created, but the main conflict is yet to come. I was still concentrated on typing when my silent phone started to vibrate. I scowled at the phone, not wanting to pick it up, so I let it ring without sparing another glance. The vibration stopped, and silence filled the room. I was about to sigh when again the vibrations started. I hissed in frustration and retrieved the phone. As my eyes landed on the name, the phone almost fell out of my hand. It was Grandpa Albert. Oh God! I totally forgot about it. What should I tell him? I was still confused, but I had already didn’t answer his call one time, if I didn’t pick his call this time. Two situations could occur: First. He would be here, and second, he would escort me to his home. And lying to him or making any excuses in front of him would be nothing but a useless trial. So, talking to him on the phone would be much better than that. With this, I bit my lips and answered the call. Before I could even do the greetings, he spoke up from the other side, "Dear, have you decided?" His tone was agitated. I felt something was wrong. His voice always used to be so calm and composed. But hearing his voice, my guts told me something was up that grandpa was not telling about. I opened my mouth to ask about what happened when his hurried voice fell into my ears, "Dear, I request you. His condition has suddenly worsened." "What?" I gasped in horror, thinking about what would have happened but nothing came out of mouth.
