“How come this guy looks so familiar?” Jin Ming took another careful look and suddenly laughed, “Ah, turns out to be the emotional consultant from the first episode of ‘If You Are the One,’ Mr. Wang Hao. Oh, I’ve heard much about you! What brings you here?”
After he spoke, Cao Hua and the others behind him were totally stunned!
“Eh? This guy is a celebrity?”
“I remember now, I watched the first episode of ‘If You Are the One’ too. It’s just that because he was on it I don’t remember it well, but now that you mention it, it’s true!”
“Interesting, we have such impressive figures among us?!”
Zhao Yuanchun took another look at Wang Hao–realizing he was amid hidden dragons and crouching tigers!
He actually recognizes me?
“Just accompanying these students for a turn,” Wang Hao casually made up an excuse, smilingly reached out his hand, “Your dance troupe is quite strong, having four teams perform at the last Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, impressive!”
That was Jin Ming’s proud creation. Jin Ming responded with a chuckle, “Just so-so, actually I had it all packaged, but still, I had to leave some food on the plate for others in the industry, so I ended up with just four teams.”
The students behind Cao Hua burst into jeers–this guy really knew how to show off! Looking at that little goatee under his chin, what, an artist type?
“Impressive, Master,” Wang Hao exclaimed, “Such a commanding presence is indeed different.”
“Thanks for the praise,” Jin Ming demurely tapped his cigarette ash then looked at Wang Hao and smiled, “But speaking of it, I’ve seen the episode you hosted of ‘If You Are the One,’ and it really didn’t seem to suit you.”
“It was alright,” Wang Hao nodded, “just one episode, one episode.”
Wang Hao was merely being polite, but to everyone’s surprise, Jin Ming responded with a remark that stunned everyone present: “Yes, indeed you’re not really suited for that kind of thing, being so young and all, which is why you were replaced after just one episode. I was thinking then, you see, I’ve dated dozens of girlfriends, quite rich in emotional experience, right? If I were hosting ‘If You Are the One,’ the ratings would surely be higher!”
Upon hearing this, everyone present was somewhat dazed, the onlooking crowd expressing confusion!
What exactly does this guy mean? Is this a joke or is he serious?
“Damn, what’s this situation?” some students quietly discussed behind, “Is he serious? Criticizing the man’s hosting to his face?” “This guy’s way too arrogant!”
“Uh, well…” Wang Hao was also stunned, never expecting this arrogant oddball to say such a thing, and momentarily didn’t know how to respond: “I’ve mentioned before that I don’t really like recording shows as I’m more of a low-profile person, so I just proposed this creative idea, to host one episode as a sample, and that was fine. But, Mr. Jin, are you serious or are you just joking with me?”
“I’m not joking,” Jin Ming, holding a cigar between his fingers, spread his hands and chuckled, “Ever since I first saw the episode you hosted, I’ve been thinking, if I were sitting in that seat, it would definitely bring more drama! After all, I’m older and have richer emotional experience, don’t you think?”
Damn, this guy is really outrageous! Where does this baffling confidence come from?
The students behind him were all taken aback, unable to grasp what he was thinking. With his long braid like someone from another era and that small mustache, he looked like those Japanese officers in anti-Japanese war dramas, with a narrow vision filled with colors!
But honestly, pretending to be a nouveau riche, wearing a very tacky suit and smoking a cigar, I really want to spit in his face. Pretending to be all that, asking for a lightning strike, isn’t he?
“So, that’s how it is,” Wang Hao paused again, not sure if Jin Ming was joking, then took a deep breath and smiled, “First off, I appreciate your kindness, Mr. Jin. But you see, about hosting that show, even if it’s not particularly endearing, it at least shouldn’t be annoying…”
He had only just started speaking, and the students immediately couldn’t help but burst into laughter!
The teacher’s words were too powerful, a slap in the face indeed!
That just summed up Jin Ming in one sentence!
“Teacher is awesome,” Cao Hua and a bunch of students gave a thumbs up in secret: “Such a fantastic face slap!”
Clearly, Wang Hao was just getting started: “Additionally, not to claim too much, but at least the aesthetic should be normal. A suit is formal wear, of course, I usually don’t like to wear them, not very comfortable. But if I really have to wear a suit, I can manage that, it’s not a big deal. Subjecting myself to discomfort is one thing, but if it causes discomfort to the viewers, that would really damage the brand–About that hairstyle of yours, I don’t think it’s quite suited for wearing a suit, you should probably wear a traditional Chinese garment instead. Oh, and you must get rid of that little mustache, at least we aim for cleanliness and neatness on TV, and that mustache just doesn’t give that impression.”
