"Ohh it’s Dang Ki So.."
"Its Dang So now, don’t let her hear you."
"Look at her go, all proud and pumpous."
"Why is she always still coming to this area though? to show off?"
I say nothing as I silently pass through.
I reach the canteen, and as I enter, all eyes were on me.
I go take my seat at a corner, waiting for the waitress.
The canteen was a small building.
It was were those of low status come, undirect lineage come to eat here sometimes, a place for the less important, for the maids, and guards.
The inner court of the Dang Clan has another canteen for those of those of higher status within the clan, those of direct lineage and direct disciples of the Elders.
A few in the canteen gossip about me after I enter while the rest go about eating their food.
After waiting a while a little girl, the age of eight comes running towards me.
She jumps unto me, hugging me tight.
I pat her back smiling as another lady around the age of twenty-seven comes from behind, following her.
I look up at her and there she stood, smiling.
My only friend in this entire Dang Clan.
I used to work as a cleaner in this canteen.
We became friends and she always treated me like a younger sister.
I know I’m not supposed to be hosting this kind of emotions but, maybe, just for a while?
Since I won’t be here forever.
"Maybe I could just enjoy this?" I ask myself as I continue smiling, patting the little girl who is still hugging me.
"Here you are again Miss Dang So" The lady in front of me teases me with a smile.
I return a short smile.
"So what may we serve you?" She asks with a smile.
"Well the usual please?" I reply.
"You sure you don’t want to try something new?"
She asks, still with a smile.
At that point I should have known she was up to something.
"Something new? like what?" I ask.
"Well, you know... since you are now someone of high status, maybe you could try our special kimichi stew with rice balls?" She says carrying a cunning smile on her face.
I sit there silent as I smack my face.
What was I expecting from this business crazed lady.
This money making freak is trying to extort me.
"Please get me my stir fried noodles Miss Dang Ki Ran!" I cry out to her.
"Ok ok, chill, I’ll be right back." She says as she hurries to the counter.
That was Dang Ki Ran, my only friend in the Dang Clan.

I begin eating as she sits directly opposite me.
"Aren’t you suppose to be working?" I ask her as I place a full chopstick of noodles in my mouth.
"Well, my baby girl came around, what did you expect." She says to me with that cunning smile of hers.
I chew my noodles and swallow before replying.
"First, I’m not your babygirl, second, there’s no reason for you to be with me, I just came to eat, so how about you go back to your stuff." I say to her as I place another chopstick full of noodles in my mouth.
This lady looks me straight in my eyes smiling as she says;
"Well how about this, when your breasts grow bigger than mine, then you can tell me what I can and can’t say or do"
"What the..." I blurt out, choking on my food.
She starts laughing at me.
What the fuck is wrong with this lady, sometimes I feel she’s lesbian cause of her obsession with boobs.

"Ohh? so we can speak more about it when we are alone together?" She says teasing me.
My cheeks immediately turn red, I begin blushing in embarrassment.
I just keep falling for her traps.
We keep talking while I ate until I eventually finished.
I bade her and her daughter farewell as I took my leave.
I walk out the door and there stood Dang Hyuk.
"I need to speak to you." He said, his eyes stern and his voice low.
I look at him for a while, surprised at the sudden approach.
"Sorry, I’m busy." I say as I walk away.
"Dang Ki So!" He yells out to me as I take a few steps away from him.
I turn around and look at him with a smile.
"It’s Dang So" I say to him before turning around to take my leave.
Nearby spectators could only stand and watch in awe as the first son of the Dang Patriach was so disregarded.
But maybe that was a mistake.
Maybe I shouldn’t have done it there.
Cause at night, a few minutes past eight, someone comes knocking at my door heavily.
I run out at the loud knocks and I see one of the waitresses from the canteen, panting and sobbing.
"What’s going on?" I ask her calmly.
"Please help me! Da...Mrs Dang Ki Ran is in trouble."
