Olivia was more than happy when morning approached, she thought she'd have a hard time falling asleep. Unfortunately, she slept just fine.
It was another day, the first day she nailed it. The second, she was a little worried. By now she was aware Hannah would do everything to make her life a living nightmare…but not to worry, she was going to do this as if it were the last thing left to do.
Olivia was later guided to the dining hall; she wasn't the only girl wanting to be a part of the mafia.
“Wow,” she muttered when she entered the large hall and found all sorts of girls, seated in pairs and grounds…they looked strong and capable, all of them were busy chatting and eating. With a long sigh, she glanced around for any empty seats, unfortunately, all the tables were occupied except for the one farthest across the room.
Only one girl was sitting there, “guess that's the one,” she muttered and made her way to the table. She already grabbed her tray of food. Mainly scrambled eggs with pancakes and syrup on top, a tall glass of juice and some fruit.
She was surprised when Zane told her she had a choice to eat the food ordered by Pedro upstairs, however, she refused. She preferred he didn't treat her so special.
“Hey,” Olivia greeted the girl she found sitting at the table.
“Hey, you are?” the girl answered, glancing up with a smile. Olivia was glad she wasn't a bitch, hence led in and sat down.
“I'm Olivia,”
“Nice to meet you, I'm Erika," the girl said with a mouthful, Olivia nodded and picked up her fork.
“You must be new, saw you yesterday… in the boss's arms… how cute,” the girl said, surprising Olivia. Looking at her, she was simple, with short brown hair reaching below her chin and big brown eyes. She was a little petite but looked like she could put up a fight and win.
“Umm, actually… You don't have to say anything… The boss is every woman's dream… it's rare to see him around… we were shocked when we heard he was around,” the girl said, stuffing her face with food. Olivia didn't know what to say, did everyone see her with Pedro.
“It's not, are you also part of this… I mean like…” Olivia said hesitantly, not sure how to ask. They were a bunch of girls, all looking strong and capable.
“Just like you, the rest of us came to join, “Erika replied. Looking at Olivia with narrowed eyes, Olivia blinked awkwardly, she didn't look like she would be stuck. She was too innocent and cute.
“Don't be surprised, in this cruel world ruled by men… a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do,” Erika said with a smirk as if she read her mind. Olivia had to say, she was a little jovial and cute.
“Oh, it's all about”
“Punishing those horrible men out there… why are you here… don't tell me it's because you are the boss's lady?” the girl asked, arching her brows at her. Olivia was stunned she was now known.
“You shouldn't give that face… we heard you passed the first trial… none of us had done it… intact we are still shocked you did it,” Erika added and Olivia knew what happened.
“Well, I'm just here to be strong and all… why are you here” it was awkward that everyone knew her. She preferred to lie low.
“So I guess the final trial will be you pleasuring the boss, “the girl said, something contrary to what she asked.
“I… I don't get it?” What did she mean by pleasuring the boss?
“It's a shame, I…” before Erika could say anything, the door opened, everyone shifted their gaze to see who entered. It was Zane, Jordan, Luke, and Hannah. Suddenly, Olivia's mood was ruined. Hannah was wearing a burgundy leather jumpsuit. Her blonde hair was tied in a ponytail, showing her sharp cheekbones.
“Great, the bitch is here,” she heard Erika curse and Olivia knew. Not just she hated her.
“Whatever you do… be careful… that bitch thinks she's the boss's woman…and above us, “Erika muttered, leaning close to Olivia. Of course, Olivia was aware of that.
“So… some of you are almost done with the trials…” it was Jordan who said, getting everyone's attention. Olivia's gaze met with Zane, and he nodded at her with a smile and gave her a thumbs up.
“This isn't a place to chill, as a mafia, you must be ready for anything…dangerous missions and many more… the boss expects each one of you to be capable, “this time it was Hannah who said with authority. Olivia averted her eyes, knowing full well Hannah would fall.
“Today is different, we are going on a hunt… everyone gets ready,” Luke said, and the three left, leaving Zane behind.
“Hey, I guess you are ready,” Zane whispered as he walked from his friends to Olivia
“Is he here?” the first thing Olivia asked, Zane chuckled and half sat on the table. Olivia noticed how Erika was blushing to see Zane.
“Come with me,“ Zane muttered, taking her by the hand. Olivia glanced back at Erika and nodded at her.
“He won't be here for a couple of days… your ex-lover wants to see him, “Zane explained, surprising Olivia. How come he didn't tell her anything, was he still upset because she refused to sleep with him?
“Is everything okay… about Luciano?” Olivia asked curiously, she wanted to know what was happening.
“There's bad news… Antonia suspects Olivia Altamirano might be alive…the lady is busy causing havoc. It's good that you are here,” Zane said just as they stopped walking when Hannah and Jordan joined them.
“And look who we have here,” Hannah said sarcastically, Olivia didn't mind.
“Hello, lady… are you ready?” Jordan asked with a smirk plastered on his face. Olivia nodded with confidence, making Hannah even angrier.
“Beautiful, no wonder the boss is hooked… Zane I didn't see this,” Jordan added with a chuckle.
“Of course… Livia is beautiful, no woman can compare to her… the boss has good eyes,” Zane too complimented, and by now Olivia saw Hannah's anger.
“Enough… kindly tell her…what she's doing today. We'll see how tough she is, “Hannah said coldly. Both men stopped laughing and turned serious. Olivia was ready for anything.
“Hunt…we are going hunting… all the girls will run in the forest and our men will hunt you down… you need to outrun them…they find you, you get shot and killed,” Hannah explained, smirking as she took out her gun. Olivia was frightened. What kind of trial was that?
“Don't be scared Olivia…there's a perk… just find the red flag… if you have it, you can't be shot even if our hunters find you,'' Zane turned to Olivia and explained. Judging by what Hannah said, Olivia knew this was one of Hannah's schemes to eliminate her.
“Failure to that, you'll be thrown in the den of wolves… trust me you don't want to go there,” saying that Hannah turned away and cat-walked from there. Olivia was beginning to think all this wasn't necessary. She had no say in anything because she was a nobody. But once she was successful, she promised to change the rules.
