DC Comics: The Bookstore Witch Chapter 63

As anticlimactic as the fight was, Wanda was pleased with the new power that she had obtained by absorbing Mordru into herself. He was weaker than her by a drastic margin, so the power wasn't too crazy, but it was still more than she had expected, and it was still free power. So she wasn't going to complain about it. "Wha-what just happened?" Dick asked, wide eyed as he looked up at her form, watching the entire fight as she effortlessly obliterated the man that their entire team had just lost again. A user of unknown power that had beaten them with no difficulty at all. Nobody on their team could even touch the man. Not Wally, not Kaldur, not M'gann, and not even Superboy. Not a single one of them touched the man, much less harm him. But Wanda had just rolled up and taken him out with a single motion of her hand. Dick was a little confused on who this person was, until realization hit. It was the unknown woman that kept showing up! An unknown woman that was proving to be a lot stronger than he had initially estimated, so much so that it was becoming an increasing concern to him, and the League. And now that she had just taken out a lord of Chaos, it meant that she was likely someone that the League themselves would have to take care of, not the Young Justice team. Again, that was terrifying. "I took care of the problem for you kiddos. Mordru there was a bit too much for someone of your level to fight. No need to worry about him anymore though, as he's been taken care of. So don't worry about him coming around and trying to stop you again" Wanda responded, smiling as the boy looked up at her, as he slowly began to rise to his feet. The rest of his team was still groaning in pain, struggling to move. He had been the one to be damaged the least out of them all, so he was also getting up the fastest. It was impressive that he was the one least affected, considering he was the only normal human on the team besides the newly recruited Artemis, who utilized the bow and arrow like her mentor, Green Arrow. "Thanks for saving us" Dick said with a sigh, as he grunted slightly in pain. Seeing the pain he was in, Wanda let out a chuckle as she flicked her wrist, instantly the group in front of her began to rapidly heal from their injuries, as she eliminated the pain that was already gone now. All the while Milim watched, hidden. She didn't want to get in trouble with her Mama, who didn't want Milim to be revealed just yet. As once Milim was revealed, then it wouldn't be hard for them to find out who she was. Sure she didn't really care too much if they did find out, but it would ruin the fun she was having. That and she was planning on letting more people into her shop from universes it was already connected to, some of them being less...nice people. She was neutral afterall, and she had been favoring the heroes a bit too much as of late. That and villains usually had a lot of money, and knowledge that a hero would normally never touch. So it was an easy choice to let them come to her shop, as long as they and the heroes understood that it was a neutral place, and fighting was strictly forbidden. Should they start a fight, they'd be permanently banned for life, and a curse would be placed on them as well. "No problem. It would be boring to let you die. It's a lot more fun to mess with you whenever I have the time" Wanda responded with a small smirk on her face, as Artemis looked at her, confused, while the others could only let out sighs. "Yeah, great. You saved us just because it's fun to tease us, really comforting" Wally grumbled, as Wanda just giggled at his annoyance. "Who is she?" Artemis asked, whispering to M'gann. "We don't know. She just sorta...shows up and helps us when we really need it. Like she showed up when we were fighting Mister Twister, and when we were fighting against Kobra and the League. But she doesn't show up every time, it's pretty random" M'gann responded, not bothering to whisper as she had a feeling that Wanda could hear her perfectly fine. "Are you still going to help Doctor Fate?" Wanda asked, as the boy looked at her, before sighing, not even that shocked anymore. This unknown woman seemed to always know things that she wasn't supposed to, and it has now gotten to the point where they weren't really surprised anymore. "Yeah, we just need to find the helmet and bring Kent to it. Can you help us with that? Or are you going to ditch us again?" Dick asked, as Wanda chuckled. "I would help you, but the Tower itself will help you. It was only stopping you from finding the helmet because Mordru was here, and it didn't want a Lord of Chaos to get their hands on it. But now that he's gone, you'll be brought to it by the Tower" Wanda responded as Dick nodded in understanding. "So how do we get this tower to even do that? It's not like it can magically teleport us to the helmet, afterall, magic isn't real" Wally said, still not believing in magic, even now after so much evidence was being shown right in front of his eyes. "You still don't believe in magic, even now? At this point that is just ignorance and foolishness. This entire tower is magic, it is not scientific in the least. The sooner you realize that magic exists, the better it will be for your team. As magic is not something you can simply ignore as if it does not exist" Wanda responded, finding his ignorance to be a genuine problem for their team, one that could cause some serious issues if not taken care of soon. It could actually harm them, if it was left alone. "Yeah but all of this can be explained-" "Just cut it, child. You are being a fool, and while you may say that you do not believe in magic, we both know that the things you have been seeing in this place, cannot just be explained through science. Some of it can, sure, but not all of it" Wanda cut him off, giving him a small glare of irritation. The teen could only flinch in response, as he went silent, before Wanda decided to ignore him and instead turned to Dick. "The tower will bring you there itself, you just need to let it. But first, I believe that Wally over there needs to speak with the one that you're trying to get the Helmet back to" Wanda said, as she glanced at Kent Nelson, who had been silently watching her the entire time. She could tell that he was assessing her, trying to figure out what she was. He could also tell that she was immensely dangerous, so dangerous that he didn't even utter a word, or try anything. A smart move on his part. "Now, I'll leave you all to it, as I believe I have helped enough for the day" Wanda said with a small smile, as she teleported off, Milim following her soon after. Leaving the team alone once again. ___________________________ Later that day, after Kent Nelson became Doctor Fate once more, an emergency meeting was called in the Watchtower. A meeting that every member of the team had attended, and one of the utmost importance. It was a meeting about the mystery woman, and the fact that she had seemingly defeated a Lord of Chaos with laughable ease, and had done something to the Lord of Chaos. "So, any guesses on what she had done to this Lord of Chaos?" Clark Kent asked Doctor Fate, who looked at him silently before responding. "...I believe that this entity has absorbed the Lord of Chaos known as Mordru, taking his power for her own. This entity is immensely powerful, so powerful that even I, a lord of Order, cannot hope to touch her. I...I believe that she is a higher entity, of the same level of power as those who I cannot dare name" Doctor Fate responded, as the others in the room frowned. "If you cannot say their name, then perhaps a title they have?" Dinah suggested, as Doctor Fate sighed. "I believe this woman is on the same level as the man who rebelled against the creator" Doctor Fate responded simply, as they all looked confused, before their eyes widened in alarm. None more so than John Constantine, who had been invited to the meeting. "Bloody hell, you mean she's on the same level as that man?! Then you most certainly cannot fuck with her! Leave the woman alone! Even I wouldn't want to be in the line of sights of an entity like that!" Constantine warned, as he wouldn't want to fight or mess with Lucifer Morningstar, so a being of that level was definitely above their pay grade. "And we cannot do anything to stop her from messing with our protégé's? Nothing?" Clark asked. "No. It would be better to let this woman do as she pleases, and hope that she does not do anything to harm us, or anyone else, for none of us will be able to stop her. A being that personifies Chaos on a level that far surpasses even the likes of the Lords of Chaos" Doctor Fate responded seriously, not wanting anyone to even think of trying a stupid plan like attacking her or trapping her or something utterly ridiculous. "I hate being defenseless . To be unable to stop this woman, or help them at all" Dinah grumbled, irritated as the rest of the League agreed. All the while Bruce was contemplating what he could do to stop this woman, but with Doctor Fate being so serious about not even bothering to fight her, even he had to stop himself from doing something stupid. As they thought more about the situation, they all let out sighs, and had one thought on their minds. ____________________________________________________________________ Gain access to an additional chapter early for each of my main fanfics (4 chapters on total), as well as other bonuses (like more than 75 exclusive stories) on my for 3 dollars a month! Not sure how good this chapter was, as the first half was written when I was half awake last night, so...yeah. I'm going to be out of state for an entire week (This Monday to around next Monday) so the quality of chapters will be all over the place, and Fanon Maker and Daughter of God will likely only be getting 1 update each, maybe two.
