Everyone is waiting for Dylan to come. We are all here in dad's conference room inside the mansion. Dane wants to talk to us and no one knows what's her reason. I didn't take Lileth with me either because Dane said we were the only ones she wanted to talk to.
We don't know what's happening and why Dane called us. She said she had something important to say and we should be the first to know. Maybe one of her achievements. She may have had another big achievement. But I am hoping that it's between her and Cooper.
It's been a month since Cooper left the country. So, I am thinking right that she has good news between the two of them, especially now that Wallace is gone. He left her. I hope my sister will realize that Wallace is not deserving. And she will choose Cooper.
"Sorry, I'm late." It's Dylan who's always been feeling important.
"Tss!" Dylan looked at me but ignored me.
"What's up, Dane?" he asks and sits beside Dane. Everyone is here except Daze who she never called because she is no longer needed here.
"What's this is all about, Diana Dane?" dad asks.
"Dad, Mom, and siblings ---" she sighed first before continuing. "I'm pregnant."
"What?" Almost all of us had the same reaction except for Dylan who was smiling. Really stupid, her sister got pregnant out of wedlock and it never bothers him.
"Ow, a blessing," he uttered.
"What the hell, Diana Dane?" Daddy asked angrily. "We allow you to be a bedwarmer. Now you're pregnant?" Dane did not answer. She didn't even say sorry for her pregnancy. She looks calm as if she doesn't care in our opinion.
"What's wrong? We should be happy because I have a new baby." Dylan said smiling. As I expected the fool. "I know now what will the name, Ace, that's Wallace's child, isn't it?"
"Probably, Dylan, what will you expect? For Cooper?" Dale replied. "Wallace is her new, right?" I silently cuss because Cooper really has no hope for Dane.
But no, she was just pregnant and not married. I knew Cooper would accept Dane even if she was pregnant. He loves Dane that much and he's willing to stand up for that kid even without Wallace.
"It's my child," Dane said. "I just inform you before you discovered my stomach got big."
"At what do you want us to react? Be happy?" dad angrily said.
"Diana, what a shame you did," mom seconded.
"Wait, what do you want? Dane will abort her daughter? I will not allow it to happen, I am the one who objects first," Dylan also said.
"Will she get pregnant out of wedlock?" mom asks.
"What's wrong there? A trend today? Then what's the problem if Dane gets pregnant? She could give her child the luxury even without a father. She has money, property, and funds that even until her child grows old, she will probably not run out and grow even more," Dylan defended her. "I can add mind, so what's the big deal?"
"You didn't act like a responsibly, you're an eldest, yet you stand as a bad example to them?" dad complained.
"Dad-"
"Responsible?" Dylan snatched what Dane was about to say. "Why do you always have that stupid responsibility when things happen? Dad, isn't Dane still responsible for what she does that she follows what you want for this family and set aside her own just to make you happy? Only now has she given herself up and she is no longer responsible?"
"You don't know what you're talking about, Dylan Damon."
"I know what I am talking about, dad. Who always attended our meeting at school back then, 'didn't Dane? Who's there when we need help with school projects? also Dane. Who takes care of us when we're sick? isn't Dane again? You, you where are you? Nothing, because you are busy getting rich and you have no time for us. Yeah, you're there to ask how are we? Guide us and tell us what to do. But before you can tell us, Dane came first. She has been with us and she is always present in every happening of our lives."
Well, he has a point that I can't disagree with. We are rich and together. But we don't seem to have parents because they are busy. Only Dane was always there with us then.
"So are you saying that we've never been good parents, Damon?" mom asked.
"What I am saying is before Dane became pregnant with her own child, she became a mother to us. And I never said that you are not a good parent. I'm saying that you have no time for us. That's different."
"Are you consenting to Dane because you still can't get over the loss of your son?" I ask that he be stunned.
"Don't involve my son in this, Dave." He said emphatically and his face immediately turned red. "My son and I are out of Dane's issue."
"Stop!" Dad reprimanded. "The topic went everywhere. What are your plans, Diana Dane? Does Wallace know?"
"No, he leaves and I don't know where he is."
"Wallace is in another country to fix something. I am sure when he found out you were pregnant with his child it was impossible he will not accept it. That idiot loved you before, he was just going through something so he couldn't stand."
"How many months?" dad asks.
"5 Weeks."
"I cannot accept this shame." Daddy leaned back in his chair while holding his head. Mom gives her a light massage.
"Means, you will disown, Diana?" Dylan asked.
"I don't know what to say and I don't know what to do." Dad stands up and mom also. "You're big, aren't you? Then face it. Looks like you don't need us anymore," dad left with mom.
"Dad," Dane called but mom winked at her saying to let daddy go first. There are only four of us left here and not even one wants to speak. Dane's face is not bothered by dad's behavior.
"Congrats, Dane, I will be a good uncle, promise." It's Dale. Another worse than Dylan.
"Hi, what's up?" Daze had just arrived and was holding cold coffee. "I met daddy with a bad face which is always a really bad face before but worse now and as usual moms with him. What's wrong?"
"Dane is pregnant," Dale answered.
"What? And you did not include me in the announcement? I thought this is all about business. Anyway, I am so happy, sister." She said tremblingly and sat down next to Dane.
"I need to go," I said goodbye then stood up. "Congrats." But before I could leave the mansion, Dylan followed me.
"Why didn't you take Lileth with you?"
"She's sick."
"Always getting sick?"
"What do you care?"
"Nothing, but soon there will be."
"What do you really care about us, Dylan?"
"To you nothing, but Lileth there is."
"Why, do you think because of what you did she will come back to you?"
"No, but at least I can fix whatever your problem is."
"And you're the feeling cupid? Even if you fix all the troubled relationships on Earth, nothing will come back to you, remember and I will say that over and over again. She will never come back to you because she does not love you. That's why she left you because she doesn't care about you anymore. So stop meddling with our problems. Lileth is my wife, my wife."
"She's your wife but do you appreciate it?"
"What did you say?"
"You don't want me to help you. Is that what you want?"
"I want you to stop meddling with Lileth."
"I don't want because I know you're hiding something, Dave, and if I prove my suspicion right ---- you'll never see her again because I'll hide her from you."
"You're an attention seeker, Dylan. Your child will never return to what you are doing. He will never return to you. I love my wife so stop interfering with us and don't get bogged down just because of your guilt for what happened to you and your son."
