Sweet little bird.
That's what Killian secretly called her, and when Samantha entered the lounge with Thomas at his side, he was reminded once more, which the men around him constantly noticed. Samantha Eveans was breathtakingly beautiful. Her straw-blond, waist-length curls flickered silver in the artificial light, emphasizing the intense blue of her eyes, which dominated her cute elfin face.
Her skin was pale, almost translucent, and as exquisite as milk with drops of honey floating in it. He took another drag on his cigarette, keeping his head back and enjoying the feel of the smoke filling his lungs and exiting his mouth.
His eyes were on her pretty face and everything else he could see of her in that position. she was not dressed like the other women in his club. Sam was better. Smart, beautiful, and so infinitely pure that even just looking at her made him feel bad. He was the complete opposite of all that and he would make sure that she never touched the ugliness of this world. He would protect her as best he could.
When she spotted him, she ran towards her with a big smile that caused him to spread his arms and pull her onto his lap as soon as she was within reach. Immediately she pressed herself against him, trusting and infinitely loving. Just as she had always been and he would enfold her in his arms, searing his face in her hair and inhaling her unique scent that made him a believer every time.
Sam was his angel, the only good thing that ever happened to him. It was hard to imagine that something so pure could come from an act of such infinite cruelty. At the time of their conception, his father had already taken a remarkable liking to a woman crying under him. Samantha was the child of a rape and Killian was the only one who actually accepted that child. His mother had already been a prisoner of her depression when Sam was born and Killian, at just nine years old, was the only one fighting for this little life.
His lips twitched. Samantha would certainly be upset to learn that his first crimes were out of love for her. He had stolen baby food and money, skipped school and taught her to speak. He had always known that she was a little genius. As soon as Sam could hold a book, he would sneak into the library with her and meet an elderly lady there who had made life easier for him with a baby. Sam had spent more of her childhood between rows of books than at home and had already been the brightest in the class the day she started school.
Those had been the best years of his life. Picking up Sam from school, which he himself had dropped out of in good time to earn money. Take her to Mrs Kullert, who will babysit her in the library, make her dinner, and help her with her homework while he gets his heart beat out in the dojo to get stronger. This dream had ended with Mrs Kullert having a heart attack when Sam was just fourteen and the sudden realization that that his scumbag father no longer viewed his overly pretty daughter as a minor annoyance, but as something to do the same as her mother.
Killian tried to push away the memory of the day, Sam's screams and his father's greedy eyes as he was about to grope his sister. But it was hard to suppress the image of how he had pushed Sam with his upper body onto the kitchen table, jeans and underwear had hung around her ankles and he had just opened his pants when Killian heard the fuse.
How his father had survived that, Killian didn't know to this day, because when he woke up from his tantrum, the face of this pig was just a pile of mud and he himself had blood all over his body. so much blood.
"Kilian?" asked Sam, sitting up straight on his lap and cupping her hands on his face. Her soft hands slid over his rough cheek as he looked at her through hooded eyes, she was so beautiful.
"Are you okay?", she asked, now a little worried and he blinked to drive away the nightmare.
He didn't regret what he had done, he only regretted that he hadn't killed his father after all. Killian nodded, stopped pinned her by the waist as he leaned forward at the table to stub out his cigarette, his chest brushing hers and he caught a glimpse of her ample breasts hidden beneath that tight t-shirt.
When was his little sister actually grown up?
"Everything super sweetie, what gives me the pleasure of knowing you in my arms again?" He liked holding her, it made him feel like he owned something that was his and didn't need to share it.
Killian knew that was irrational thinking, after all she was his sister and not his property. He would never take her breath away, even if the thought that someone could harm her almost drove him insane. Sam just opened his mouth to say something when Dominik sat down on the couch across from him and let out a loud hoot.
"Vicinity. If that isn't our little nerd. Do you ever sit on my lap? I also promise to be very brotherly to you." Dom grinned broadly and let his gaze slinky down his sister's body, making Killian question whether he should rip out his business partner's tongue right away or only when Samantha was no longer looking.
"Sorry Dom, but as much as I love you. I don't believe a word you say." Dominik put his hand on his heart and hissed in mock pain.
"Ouch, baby. That hurt, I'll never recover from that, so there's no need to chop off any part of my body, okay, Killian? " Dominik looked directly at Kilian, kept the slight smile on his face, but it slowly faded due to his own lack of reaction.
"Kilian? He made a joke." He didn't hear Sam's voice until she turned his face to hers and looked him straight in the eyes. And at that moment he realized he wouldn't be able to share his little sister.
